The saxophone alone was an instant flashback to my childhood. Omg! 🙌🏾🔥
Omg i can't believe i found this! I watched this every day on VHS when I was a little girl
That's incredible because I thought it was just me💯Long Live Orlanda Draper
And me when I was a boy!!!! Lol
Me too! Lol
Same!!!
Me too!!!
This brings back great memories. I was at this concert. Recorded live in Chicago at the Bismark hotel ballroom. The concert admission was free. There wasn't an empty seat in the whole place. We were packed in like sardines and we had a great time in the Lord.
My mom was there lol
Draper's Memphis crew deserve MADD respect & props. His band was KILLING the game. They were definitely one of, if not THE BEST, during their time. They helped TREMENDOUSLY to make sure his live presentations were second to NONE. They played as UNIT & they were CONSISTENT. They jammed EVERYTIME Draper & his "Associates" hit. Some of the world's greatest musicians come out of Memphis. #TrueStory #GiveItUpForTheBANDInTheHouse! #ThatMemphisSound
2:19 2:20 2:20 and the first time you
I would have love to see him and Ricky Dillard in concert. That would be dope! RIP Olanda 😞
They were really good friends back in the day. There was the Brat Pak of Gospel: Kirk Franklin, Hezekiah Walker, Donald Lawrence, O'Landa Graper, Ricky Dillard, and I think James Hall. They were all really good friends and hit scene around the same time.
That would have been an electrifying concert😊
Gospel choirs you didn't wanna play with in the 90s was Orlanda Draper and Associates,Milton Brunson and The Tommies,John P Kee in New Life, Hezekiah Walker and the Maurice Culpepper and Showers of Blessing out of Atlanta and Institutional out of Brooklyn and Rickey Dillard Straight Beast💯💯💯
This list is fire!!!!!
@@crystalforrest6839 Thanks they were and still are the standards
You forgot about the Mississippi Mass Choir 😊
Throw the Colorado Mass choir and id say you got a pretty solid list
Think about how bomb he would have been if he were still around! 😔
I think about that DAILY, smh! ;'( Woulda been right next to Ricky Dillard and those moves they both had lol.
@@mrm64 Agreed!
I was thinking the same thing. 🙌🏾 Smh. #GoneTOO Soon.
That saxophone though
I miss this kind of gospel music!!! Cause this stuff today just ain’t it!!!
I got a chance to meet and work with him in 96 at a music workshop in Cincinnati Ohio. He was awesome! A fun spirit! I was heart broken when I heard he passed. Thank you for posting this!
I was at that one too. I played for a group called Damascus 😂 Olanda was the coolest tho!
O'Landa Draper and The Associate came to our church, Trumpet In Zion, Little Rock, Ar, Jan. 2nd, 1994 and set the church on fire. Loved this choir...
A timeless classic that I would STILL rock today...👏🏼👏🏼
Everything is going to be alright - even in this pandemic! Love and miss Mr. Draper and this awesome ministry of music.
so good! we don't make gospel like this anymore! this is my go to song everytime I feel down! Amen! May God Bless you all
Jesus told me that everything is going to be alright . I have had problems with my health for a couple of years. I love the Lord an he will keep me .Amen.

I guess I am quite off topic but does anyone know of a good place to stream newly released movies online ?
@Zaiden Mayson flixportal
@Parker Abraham Thanks, I went there and it seems to work :) I really appreciate it!
@Zaiden Mayson you are welcome :D
I am from Memphis TN and I know he has had some of the baddest musician's to play for him that ever came out of this city. That was Donald Hayes (With hair) playing sax. Keith Bethany (A.K.A) George Benson, on lead. Jackie Clark (A.K.A.) Man with the GOLDEN EAR, he played bass for him at one time. And let us not forget Derick Jackson, one of the best organ players in the world. Who went on to be the late Bishop G.E. Patterson personal Keyboard player. Sure brings back great memories. 7/29/2021.
Look at young Donald Hayes!!! Lord, I recognize his sound on the sax anyday!! 🙌🏼
He’s a beast. Love hearing and seeing him prayze the Lord with the sax!
@@claryp1509 Amen!
Donald Hayes ripped this song to shreds with the sax. He was basically the lead singer on it.
@@alpha-betthemaestro6603 True!
Thank you, tictok, for reming me of this song !

Back when we were unapologetically black!! 💙💙
Maaaaaan this takes me way back
I remember this song at my childhood at 5 years old. This song brings me so many memories.
Okay with the Brandy reference... "yeah yeah yeah yeah...🎵🎶
A lot of songs during the best gospel era of the 90's would slip in elements from R&B songs and they would go great with the song too! Check out "Coming Again So Soon pt.1 & pt.2" by Twinkie Clark and the FAMU Gospel Choir and see which song you hear during the breaks (Hint: he wrote a lot of songs in 95-96)
2023....Jesus told me everything will be alright!!!!!!!!

Who is this not Apple Music!!
I can not find it on Apple Music
Does anyone know whether DeRell Harris went on to pursue a career in music? How would I find his work? I guess he'd be about 40 now? Thanks for helping.
Who was the big guy in the choir with glasses isn’t he an artist.
So worldly/fleshly while saying Jesus!!!!🤔
Well, you would have been mad at David too then. His wife had a complaint when David danced out of his clothes. David’s reply to her was “if you think I am undignified now, just wait a while. I will become even more undignified than this.” I knew O’landa Draper, I had the pleasure of working with him. He loved praising God and he was serious about his members singing and praising God. You don’t know what any one person has gone through up there. You may see worldly and God may see praise. Eyes have not seen nor have ears heard, Heaven is going to be lit beyond comprehension.
@@pamobs3796 That’s what the enemy have perpetuating in the body of Christ! The Lord had prophets with different deliveries, but the same Goal for God. I’m not gonna quote all the scriptures relating to my premise. You know the Word. I know so many people who love praise but don’t love the Lord. Obedience is what it’s all about and for me too! The average man you hear in gospel music is gay on the radio. That’s a abominable state in church now. God reveals and the enemy exposes! It started with Thomas Dorsey, James Cleveland on down……. I can name almost an hundred men in the industry!! And women too. That’s Orlando’s Achilles heal. I pray he repented before he pass. Thankyou for the response. God want people to stand up against sin not flow with it..
Okay but if you actually listened to the words you would have heard the message not just the music. Plus, you see those church mothers movin' you know nothing is wrong. And David was one of God's servants so you cant come for him for praising God. And you dont know everyone so you dont know who loves God and praising God.
Be not deceived. Our thoughts are NOT The Most High’s thoughts, neither are our ways, HIS WAYS. What you think is praise and worship is NOT praise and worship to the Creator, the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. The LORD has STANDARDS, rules, and regulations. HE said, OBEDIENCE is better than sacrifice. Majority of those people in that choir, even the director probably lived how they wanted to live, ungodly. People are people, whether rich or poor, famous and leaders or not...many of them in the so-called "church" (buildings made by man) engage in same-sex relations which is an ABOMINATION, fornicate, and are adulterers and idolators. Now, I am not casting any stones, nor judging anyone for how they CHOOSE to live, it's their choice. However, we seriously need to learn to discern between HOLY and profane, and understand--GIFTS come without repentance.
The True and Living GOD: The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob (Is'ra-el) is HOLY. He is calling us all to repentance and holiness (godliness), and He said, you must be born again. We are to be holy, not "worldly or fleshly." Moreover, we are to fear and reverence Him, and OBEY His commandments, statues, and judgments. Thank GOD we can repent and turn from our sins, and be born again; Salvation is truly a blessing, HalleluYAH!!!
REPENT: for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand (is near). The GREAT KING, JESUS CHRIST (YESHUA MESSIAH), is coming! Shalom.
