I've seen hundreds of bands since 1971. And every major act and group worth seeing since then. The most intense and mind blowing show i ever saw were these guys. It was very odd after the show was done. Everyone walked out in shere disbelief. Mouths were hanging open, and everyone was in shock. No one was saying anything. We were stunned. I took a friend with me who hated rock music. he didn't want to go. I gave him a ticket. Upon leaving he couldn't believe what he just saw. He was awed.
Hensley says this was Byron's lyric, and Byron did not write much, well, especially after his alcoholism took him over, but, this is truly intense. Tremendous! Who writes stuff like this today???
