Post stroke fatigue has been one of the most difficult things to deal with since I had a stroke in 2015 it’s definitely debilitating 😢

Hi. I just wanted to let you know that I found your video extremely useful. I am 46, and about six months ago I had a minor ischaemic stroke. I had no idea about Post Stroke Fatigue, they didn't tell me. I'm more at risk from it because I suffer from depression anyway, and have done for 20 years. I also live in the UK and get S.A.D. at this time of year too. I'm suffering from fatigue as we speak. But your video has helped me to at least make some sense of what is happening to me. Thank you.

Happy you found my channel. Even more happy that I was able to help you with some information and insight. I have a video on Post Stroke Anxiety and Post Stroke Depression. If there is anything you would like me to cover as a topic just ask.

I do fairly well but I know my limits; the left leg will shut down first so I work to find a safe place before the shutdown.

I wondered why the sudden fatigue and weakness and this video and others showed me it was not muscle but rather Neuro.

I hate it. Had a stroke about 10 month ago. Tired most of the time. Some times are worse, and appear out of nowhere. I have regained more function than I though I would, but I don't really enjoy much that I used to. That's the worst. I used to enjoy camping, but I get tired just thinking about it.

I am approaching six months since my stroke. I still have periods of fatigue. Attempting to continue to breach the obstacle. I started a new medication that is helping.

is post stroke fatigue purely tiredness? or can it be a combination of tiredness, feeling weak, having brain fog,a felling like your going to blackout etc?they are all different symptoms.

@@StrokeAssaulter i had a stroke in November last year.. I'm a 43 year old male in Dublin Ireland.I was told first it was a TIA and then after it was a stroke because the symptoms were lasting so long. My speech and limbs are fine, but as soon as I had the stroke my balance was knocked out of kilter.Whats baffling me and the doctors to a degree is why I keep getting so faint. For the first three months I couldn't walk more than 10 feet because of this. This symptom improved by about 60% over the last 4 weeks but i feel the last 10 days likes its getting worse. I'm waking in the morning feeling like I'm drugged and I need more sleep. I'm sleeping 12 hours and feel worse every time I go back to sleep. When i get up I feel quite week ,my head is mussy and I still feel tired.-I had some of these symptoms weeks before the stroke but they seem worse sine the stroke. I'm being told they are unrelated. I'm super frustrated and down, as there seems to be no answer- I've had every blood test and heart scan done too.Excuse the long message.

@@StrokeAssaulter Hi Michael.how are you?I'm doing a bit better today.I had a regular MRI without contrast and I had a ct with contrast in January, as I was back in hospital then as my symptoms were so severe. They said the tear in my vertebral artery was healing compared to how it was in November.
