- Burt Reynolds is back in action again in the 1978 film Hooper! Although the downright awful and very fake (like "toy car" kind of fake) end car stunt jump was just pathetic and a huge let down and was so bad it will not even be shown in this video; the rest of the movie leading up to that point did actually have some great real car stunts and pyrotechnics that are very much worth watching!
This is the best car action of stuntman Hooper folks!

Burt sure sold a lot of Trans Ams for Pontiac. RIP Burt, you were one of a kind.
Great movie I love it❤❤❤
Rip Burt Reynolds love you❤
That smoke stack stunt was the best gag ever ever ever put on film. No cgi, there!
Buddy Jo Hooker
I know about the scene where the buildings are being blown up. Site of where Northington General Hospital was until they blew the buildings up. It’s now where the university mall is. Some buildings remained until 2003 when they finally were torn down.
That was a great movie
You try to pull off this stuff now! You wouldn't get insurance. I grew up in the late 70's and early 80's... life was good.
God damn. the motorcycle guy's gave all. the invisible man in wheel chair got snuffed. real stunts. love the late.70.s.
I saw this in the theater when it came out.
okay boomer
@@vnitto lolol
I think the jump car was a 'Funny Car' dragster body. Although why they didn't use a stripped out Trans Am bodyshell is beyond me.
Exactly.
Probably because the trans Am body was too light...
bro burt makes eney movie fire
that blue ford Tornio
Greatness !
From what I heard, the final jump was done for real. They just didn't use the Trans Am, for some reason. The car used for the jump was based on a "funny car" like they use in drag races. No toy cars involved. So, if you ask me, I would've kept the jump.
Yeah you right
👍
Was this Michael bays first film or something?
Chef Pontiac Firebird
Hurts to see that 69 mustang go into a ditch
Life of a stuntman will not keep a longterm lady around....we are only in the credits but we do all the work. She doesn't like it when you get hurt
