GRANDPA ROBO IS A LEGEND AND Dirty Dez sounds like an alcoholic and drug-addicted legend! The frustration and amazingness of his voice - Due to not getting any girls in his prime, not actually being able to sing, and the undue pressure from Greg Ginn to perform beyond his capabilities...well, it makes Keith Morris look like a pussy. Little 5'2" Keith Morris couldn't even hold a candle to DEZ! Dez is the real deal - even more real than Rollins who was really a jock at heart who loved the fame, BS poetry and totally lame acting career that pole vaulted him to legendary status - one of the great injustices of history... While Rollins basks in his glory and money and silver hair, Poor Dez is just strumming on a broken 4-string guitar, with his poor hygiene, horrible diet, alcohol-laden smell, and greasy hair at some lonely bar near L.A. I am crying for Dez...Crying! !!!
Dez was the best Black Flag singer.

Love robo. He might not have the best technique, but he came up with some of the most creative punk drum beats
I love these guys...they're music fans 1st and foremost...and, Robo IS Billy's drumming idol.
Knowing what Billy and Dez had dealt with health-wise leading up to this makes it even sweeter
And Bill its the Grohl idol...
A bit rough at the beginning of "Rise Above", but by the end Robo sounded so good. He was great on "Six Pack". Love it.

I used to watch Robo all the time whenever I saw them - actually played on the bill with them at least half a dozen shows - at least. Nice to see him again, and he was raging for Six Pack!

He got cancer. To my knowledge he's better now. His cancer was the reason he left the Misfits
His cancer is sorted now, but it obviously took a hit on his voice. He still nails Rise Above and Six pack, and there's no other Black Flag alumni I'd rather hear do those songs.

Great video unfortunately ruined by shitty audio and not abiding by the videographers rule of thumb when filming bands to use an external condenser mic, but my bet is this is unauthorized, but hey, thanks for sharing. 🙌🏻😂 I haven't seen Robo since the 80's.
