@@NobodyDaxian might be possible for emulation since save states are easier to pull off. The later games though, not sure if that'll happen lol could always have an honor system where you just go back to where you last saved

Halfway through the video, my brain tells me a good update to the challenge is to be able to Save and return to the previous point in the run, so it’s not so deadly

I think the challenge would be feasible if either done on loeer difficulties or if you were allowed to reload at any save points you hit when you get back to a game.
Not sure if it would work with your set up, but I've seen a challenge where you go back to the exact moment you were at after getting hit.
I dont think droping the difficulty would make it easier, unless u mean the challenge difficulty, and not the game.

You know what would make this even more chaotic? Every hit automatically changes it to a RANDOM game from the series, I’m sure there’s a program for it somewhere that even saves the exact spot you were at through the games, maybe retroarch or something?

@@AroTheOcto Admittedly it being a multiplayer KH *was* pretty sick! but like...only Roxas, Riku, Xion and Sora were any good to play as....me and a good buddy tried to do Co-op missions pretty often, him as Zexion and me as Lexaeus....but we would routinely get dog walked by even common enemies... T_T

Great idea. But I would love to see a version of this with the abilty to use save points. Would be cool to see which Kingdom Hearts games are technically harder than others.

If I recall, I don't remember re:coded being that hard especially in the tutorial-esque, I even did a 1HP run of destiny island, and I only really screwed near the end but still was able to finish it.
But ig, it's just hard to "git gud".

358/2 doesn't even have that bad gameplay, it's just repetitive. Which is kind of the point due to the story getting the monotony across.
This is true, it's just that when it's compared to the other games in the series it's bad in comparison. it's great as it's own thing with good elements of strategy to it

This is a great challenge idea, but you cannot do it starting over at the beginning of each game every time you fail. That basically means you have to no-hit run through EVERY SINGLE Kingdom Hearts in order without fail, which ruins the whole point of the challenge because if you did it correctly, then you'd never end up switching. Also, I'm pretty sure no KH player alive could no-hit run through ALL of the games in order in a single sitting without messing up once, not even Bizkit or WillJV2. It'd be better if you returned to the save points before the place where you got hit, then you wouldn't be constantly going through the same beginning fights over and over again.

more so, I thought this would play out like SaltyDkDan’s Sonic playthrough, where everytime he gets a ring, the game swaps to a different Sonic game
as the challenge is now, it is actually impossible unless your good enough at the game your playing

To answer the people wondering about Seifer's "Isn't this romantic?!" line, it's a reference to his original role in Final Fantasy VIII, where he was obsessed with the idea of being a knight for a sorceress, romanticizing the role of battle and defense of one's ideals. Final Fantasy VIII was very much a game about romance, both in the traditional sense as well as in the sense of feeling mystery, excitement, and remoteness from everyday life.
Unfortunately if you don't know any of this, it just comes across as him saying something bizarre and weird out of context, which it kind of is. But then we all know KH III and I are better than KH II anyway.

@@NobodyDaxian It's got a pretty different vibe to it compared to a lot of Final Fantasies. It was also the first one I completed. TBH I recommend looking up a rebalancing mod before playing it, as the base gameplay is... alright, but fairly lacking in any challenge.

okay, so ive finally been able to beat this challenge thanks to recom. but i might wanna try to do this again someday, it was alot of fun. (other close calls were recoded and kh3 for me, getting damaged right in front of the finish line)

In the BBS tutorials against ventus, even though you get hit, your hp doesn't go down so TECHNICALLY you didn't take damage

Dude chain was super easy, I went on proud and just kept upgrading sleights and CP never really got hit the only hard part was the start.

IMO COM is the best option for this. You played aggressive but imo, stocking a sleight and only counterattacking after breaking enemy cards (and not using small cards the enemy can break) would make it very doable. It'd be pretty slow but I might give it a try.
You do start out with some low value cards tho

the timing of the melody game is unfortunately also super wonky when it comes to the prompts so even when you press correctly, especially on lower difficulties, it often doesn't count it as pressed in time so that's probably contributing to you losing that challenge in particular lmao
