    The NVME drive can be put in an enclosure on an older machine to vastly improve performance. As it can be setup to be a boot drive. I'm told to avoid the samsung and stick with western digital. This is for intel macs for those still running those.

      One of the easiest ways to stay updated with design trends is to follow some of the most popular and reputable design blogs and newsletters. These sources will provide you with inspiration, insights, tips, and resources to keep your skills fresh and relevant. Btw, I've been reading your blog @dotpenji! Great work for the both of you!

      The fact that gadget companies are adapting to meet the needs of motion designers who constantly push limitations is actually amazing.

    1. What about portable option like the ASUS G14?
    2. In such laptops you can only upgrade x1 RAM stick out of the 2. So, will it F-up dual channel RAM if you install, say a 32GB stick alongside an 8GM or 16GB soldered RAM stick?

    • @MotionXP
      @MotionXP Před 8 měsíci

      The ASUS G14 is defintely a good option. From what I can tell you can indeed add a 32GB stick alongside the 8/16gb to get to a total of 40/48gb

      I knew this would come up so I checked the performance benchmarks for the M2 chips on puget systems website and that did not seem to be the case...happy to be proved wrong though 😅

    pls dont buy a laptop for motion graphics unless you reaaaaally have to. you will get much more performance from a desktop with the same budget

    • @xDave
      @xDave Před 11 měsíci

      A desktop will always be better but it's just not practical for some people

    • @FineBoi
      @FineBoi Před 11 měsíci

      @xDave if you dont have a desk, and live in a room where theres no space for a pc case, then ok. theres literally no other reason to get a laptop unless you need to travel a lot. If we are talking windows laptops, they have a terrible battery life, and if you really want the peak performance it can offer, you have to keep it plugged in anyways 🙈
