This is a technique of making anaerobic plant teas to feed to your garden, and is a staple of the Korean Natural Farming method. JADAM Liquid Fertilizer is a great place to start your journey from lawn to garden and is a prime example of Regenerative Agriculture.

I have started JADAM last year with one 32 gallon trash can and quickly migrated to 2 pickle barrels. This will feed my 10K organic garden for a long time, how simple this is. I JLF everything from the garden including any weeds. I have been making my own leaf mold for several years as my main compost and it's very simple to do. Together they make a killer garden. At 75 easy and free is a very good thing. Thank you for your input to JADAM, JLF

Hell yes JLF!! I make this every spring with that first grass and "weeds" growing strong in my backyard. You just gave me a good tip about sweeping all my leaves from fall into one big pile over the winter so they can create mycelium ready for the next springtime JLF. I haven't tried this with fruits yet but I am going to do that this summer!! Thank you Joey!!!🎊🎉💚🌈

I agree, but Nate refers to the BLACK soil under the decomposition as leaf mold, I always deduced the leafs with the White mycelium, thread like growth on the old rotting wood and leaves as the true leaf mold, as this grower shows!

I've been doing JADAM for years and will use straight JADAM as a root drench around deficient trees and have never had any burn. I typically dilute 5 to 1 for inground and 20 to 1 for pitted plants with great success. Like I've said, I've never burned anything. Not sure where you're getting that from.
Excellent video I currently have a 35-gallon trash can cooking and just bought a 55-gallon pickle barrel for my garden and started using it for my cannabis last season wow what a difference, watched a video saying to add egg shells to help the plant fibers for a strong structure. now I have to out and find some mold thank you

I was under the impression based on reading the JADAM books, that the purpose of JLF was to mineralise what’s being fermented to produce a balanced fertiliser. The production of the microbes was done using JMS JADAM microbial solution . Also, JLF was not recommended as a foliar spray by Mr Cho

Love the video! It would be really cool to see an efficacy test between a batch where leaf mold is used and one thats not. You see a lot of ppl just using grass clippings and water. I love adding more microbes and fungi anytime i can but it's nice to know all the options!

I am applying KNF liquid fertilisation to lawncare. I am starting a company, and will be using stuff on my lawn first to make sure I dont mess up anyones turf. When springtime come and grass start going, can I make this tea for this year or should I wait?
Will the grass seeds rot in 14 days? Is it safe to throw the remains in the compost or use it as a mulch?

This was the clearest recipe I've seen. I'm wondering what's the N-P-K numbers on this?
The book states that these numbers are just confusing and deterring people, but that is a good question. At the end, it will depend on what you put in. Mr Cho says the best fertiliser for tomatoes are... tomatoes. So that sort of thing will determine the mineral/macro/micro

I made my one for the first time in what I think is a little too big for an experiment! I used an old 10000 liters tank.. it now stinks a lot! And my neighbor is complaining! Thank god I live in Thailand and I will not get sued! I sealed as much as possible but it still smells a bit. is it true that adding sugar will fix the smell? BTW the plants are looking amazing since I used it! I just would like to fix the smell. I will move the tank to another spot when it will be empty. It is too full and heavy right now!

Can I use different kinds of plants instead of just grass? This was great. I think I can do this . Tomorrow. I have some blackeyed peas I planted for a cover crop. That was to dry and hot to make worse drought we’ve had in a long time.
Yes, you can make these with any plant
you can use like for like. If you grow a lot of brassica for example make a ferment from brassica leaves and stalks.
How much would you dilute it if your using a five gallon bucket to pour on your garden

Regarding your idea that could make this fertilizer to use the following spring, letting it ferment a year, I’m wondering whether that works for zone 5b - where the fertilizer liquid would freeze during the winter. Is freezing a problem? Or will it just thaw and have its bacterial composition intact?
I had the same question but for an even colder climate though that would still apply.
Try putting the brew inside if the temps get lower than 50 degree

Is it really high nitrogen? Did you test it? Anyone making these videos should be testing the product. Not just by using it, but real tests. Just becuase your garden grows does not mean your fertilizer works. It just means you have good soil.

Trying to get more female flowers on my butternut squash, cucumber & zucchini. I read that more nitrogen gives more male flowers. Should i avoide these teas for those plants?

Thanks man for your time! I'm just starting to get into Jadam farming and KNF. Trying to let one compliment the other. I do have a question. What's the shelf life of the ferment? Or do I just pull out a shit glass when needed?
I believed that the longer you keep the fermentation the more potent the fertilizer.
@@dylantkl No, that does not work that way. Take what you eat, and how long it stays in your body due to the fact that acids do a quicker job in brake down processes than microbes. Everything has a time limit, remember that, microbes not having food to eat will die. That is why this compound stinks, being left too long during fermentation. Check it every day, temperature is the determining factor here.
@@llewellynlombard7428 Thank you for the reply. However, I would have to respectfully disagree with you on this. Jadam Liquid Fertilizer (JLF) isn't the same process as compost tea or, JMS (Jadam Microbial Solution). You don't have to check it everyday nor do you have to check the temperature during the brewing process. Of course during the brewing process, one should avoid direct sunlight or place it in freezing temperature (and same goes after brewing to avoid degradation). Think of JLF process similar to that of fermentation of soybean to make soy sauces. A good brewed JLF can be stored up to one year and more if follow the proper storage procedures. This is written in Mr. Cho's Jadam Organic Farming book, which this video is based on.

This is grass, so high nitrogen and best for vegetative stages I think. The JADAM book is cheap and covers all sorts of things for flowering and fruiting stages.
The teacher must learn to be modest and precise. The talk would be effective if the speaker just provided the essential details.

@@Andee1688 I was one of the original researchers of this method at the Rockefeller research center in Keochung, Taiwan 1971 where I contracted cholera while testing the lack of efficacy of the effluent. Salmonella, Vibrio cholera, E. Coli, Tetanus, Staphylococcus, cryptosporidium, Streptococcus,Tuberculosis, any of these sound familiar? Using compost tea techniques is how you incubate them. I've had all the pudding I can handle. Please be careful. You're playing with fire.
