  • #FunnyNotFunny 🤔 how many people will see this and hear of this prominent figure in the link between the our TRUE INDIGENOUS heritage on our own lands…BUTT just listen to him talk and find out WHY he wasn’t in any of our #school #books 🙊🙉🙈 #JamesMeredith (born June 25, 1933) is a #Chatah aka #Choctaw #American civil rights #activist, #writer, #politicaladviser, and #UnitedStates #AirForce #veteran who, in 1962, became the first #AfricanAmerican #student admitted to the racially #segregated #mississippiuniversity after the intervention of the federal government (an event that was a flashpoint in the civil rights movement). Inspired by President JFK’s inaugural address, Meredith decided to exercise his con-institutional rights and apply to the University of Mississippi. His goal was to put pressure on the Kennedy administration to enforce #civilrights…aka call the dogs off and put his foreigner cousins in their place and remind them that they’re “guests,” the kind you don’t want back at your house 🤯🪓😡 #HistoREAL 🙅🏾‍♂️⚔️ #InREALTime BTW…read the book written by his niece, entitled “James Meredith:Warrior and the America That Created Him” 💎
