I'm guessing when you activate ult, it starts up an attack that you have to time it like black flash in order to actually bring out your full ult. And if you miss, you might just lose some ult percentage.

that's actually such a cool concept for an ult, instead of a normal one like other characters, this can have 2 versions. for example :
Version 1
You miss the black flash and just go "whatever", and the ult goes normally
Version 2
You HIT the black flash and you bring out 120% of your potential, and for like 3/4ths of the awakening you have buffed damage
might be something different but yeah thats my guess
