Top 10 Trap Cards That Can Be Activated From The Hand in Yugioh
Vložit

- In Yu-Gi-Oh a Trap Card is a card with the innate ability of being able to be activated during either player’s turn which is a particularly strong advantage as it allows for them to be used as forms of interruption against the opponent during their turn.
In order to offset this power, Trap cards usually also have the innate disadvantage that they need to be set on the field for at least one turn before they can be activated, but there are some Trap cards which have an effect to bypass this restriction and be activated directly from the hand during either player's turn, provided some kind of condition is met.
This video is going to look into the best traps in the game that can be activated from the hand, why they’re so powerful and why being able to use them from the hand is so strong.

Top 10 cards that treat themselves as other cards. For example:
Several Cyber Dragon and Harpie Lady monsters, Blue-Eyes Alternative white dragon, the Gaia the Dragon Champion retrains.
I don't think there are enough of these for a top 10 but he could also do cards that can treat themselves as any card.
There are over a hundred cards in the game that treat themselves a specific different card while on the field, and like a dozen or so cards that always treat themselves as a specific other card.
Phantom of chaos #1
How about the worst
@@Prince_Eva_Huepow Marine Dolphin
I called it! Of course Infinite Impermanence would be the number one card!
This card has reached a high spot on a lot of these lists, it’s honestly surprising that it’s not on the “list of cards that can’t be mentioned in videos anymore”.

Top 10 Yugioh Traps that Can Be Activated the Turn they’re Set
The Phantom Knights of Shade Brigandine
Not directly, but any normal trap set by trap trick/boogie trap
Does such things exist?!??
@@mlgrenegadeYT I think many of them are conditional
So you mean top 10 floodgate in yugioh
Top 10 cards that have whole archetypes/series based on them.
For example:
Cyber Dragon
Thunder Dragon

Dark Magician
Dark Magician Girl
Red-Eyes
Blue-Eyes
Harpie Lady
Gaia & Curse of Dragon
Buster Blader
Morphing Jar
Pot of Greed
Trap Hole
Mirror Force
Edit: The archetypes I am talking about are not the ones just focused around 1 core or boss monster (like Invoked or Eldlich), but those that are at least partially made of retrains/evolutions of the original monster like how the main deck cyber dragon monsters treat themselves as the og cyber dragon while on field and/or in grave.
Spyral super agent
Eldlich
Sunseed Loci
#39 Utopia
Evil eye of Selene
Egyptian Gods & Sacred beast
Generaider boss stage
Time thief Redoer
Psy frame Driver

Be honest we all knew infinite impermanence was going to be on top
Be Honest we all knew the top 3
I came with faith that you could be wrong
i was wrong ´-`.
I immediately knew that the top 2 would be Red Reboot and Infinite Impermanence. I admit I had forgotten about Evenly Matched.
Never doubted it foreshadowed Cyber Dragon support in the next set.
I thought red reboot would be number 1 it's so good
damn man i dont even play yugioh or knew anything other than the anime before getting to this channel but both your pace and explanations got me hooked up to your vids. Amazing job looking forward for more of these
Yeah same bro
I’m a bit surprised that Blackbird Close didn’t get picked over Anti-Reverse. Both cards are equally niche but I remember how impactful Close was during Blackwing’s reign in Duel Links
Duellogs basically when talking about marincess wave: "Its a simple trap effect, but quite unbreakable."
Now those are TRUE Hand Traps
How about a video on if "Missing the Timing" wasn't a thing in YuGiOh?
They really just need to retcon "when" and "if" to be the same thing in the rule book. I'm keeping up with all the meta decks right now with a king/queen knight deck but if King knight said If instead of when the archetype could go straight to tier 1. It's the only thing holding it back right now
6:07 Tachyon Transmigration became searchable with the new Tachyon Support today.
The graphic demonstrating how people play around Imperm columns is so helpful! Anyway, I guess I'll have to make some copies of Typhoon for MD with Imperial Order at 1 there. Thank you!
I think the future of trap cards is gonna be like infinite impermanence where it does something useful from the hand but also does something useful if activated from set so there is a reason to set traps and play cards like trap trick or the labrynth searchers
Agreed, it's why I love Red Reboot, if my opponent opens with an obnoxious field I still have a trap I can use for an emergency forced opening. With any backrow removal behind it it works even better
Mr.Logs!
I have a neat suggestion for a video: Top 10 cards with "invented" English words in their name, due to "mistranslation".
E.g. - Giant Trunade. WTH is a Trunade? its mistranslation of Tornado! (Even though the Japanese name of the card is Hurricane)
Word: Trunade
Meaning: Waterstorms, mostly "water tornados"
Related concepts: Hurricane, Tornado
Word-Origin: Yu-gi-oh! English Localization.
Note: Was most likely created through a mistranslation instead of a purposeful word-invention.
I think blackbird close deserved the spot more than delta crow, because BBC saw tons of competitive play in duel links while BW where competitive, also is a monster negate + a free monster on field and is way more easy to use than delta crow.
Agreed. Even it's still in banlist up to day.
note that Imperial Order is not banned in Master Duels so thats an aditional point for Typhoon
They got him eventually.
To be honest, he was never going to last.
Create:
1) Top 10 Legal Cards that let's you Draw Example: Reckless Greed, Card of Demise, Trade-In, Jar of Avarice, Shard of Greed, Iron Draw
2) Top 10 Equip Cards
3) Top 10 Level 10 Monsters Example: Rainbow Neos, Chaos Ancient Gear Giant
4) Top 10 Level 8 Monsters Example Lava Golem
5) Top 10 Level 3 Monsters
6) Top 10 Link 3 Monsters
7) Top 10 Link 4 Monsters
I also suggest these top 10 lists:
Cards that send a card(s) from deck to graveyard (milling)
Cards that you want to send from deck to graveyard to get the most of it
Best/worst xyz monsters

Best/worst toon cards (its a fun archtype)

Cyber dragon cards
Cards that you want to use inferno reckless summon on
Finally, Typhoon gets some recognition.

Great video! #4 Makes me wonder if we'll get a list of best/worst Harpie cards...
Day 1 of asking for
Top 10 cards that's are good in normal yugioh but not duel links
That 2nd background effect is gorgeous so is Typhoon's art!
Amazing list! Honestly if Harpies ever got a splashable convenient search engine Harpie's Feather Storm would get banned so freaking quick. Turning off monster effects is basically death for most decks.
While not quite the same I think The Phantom Knights of Shade Brigandine deserves a shoutout (like pseudo-activating from hand) since being able to get an instant normal level 4 (which was originally a trap) is just so powerful in certain decks plus it can be searched making Bardiche with Boots such a strong utility combo. Maybe do a list of trap cards that can be activated the turn they are set?
Harpies need a good endgame too. They come close with Hysteric Sign and a Tri Brigade Engine but both aren't enough to make the deck anything but rogue at best. Tri Zoo is way more flexible, and Lyrulisc Tri does Harpie Tri better.
Feather Storm is why Harpies can never be top tier tho. It would be a disaster.
Transmigration had the potential to be the most broken hand trap in the game... But it requires a galaxy eyes tachyon on the field and cant even be searched... Its restrictions make it so bad galaxy eyes doesnt even run it.
Its not so bad it's just lost potential and it's lost potential helped it from bieng in the ban list
And it doesn't need tachyon dragon it needs any galaxy eyes monster even that level 1 galaxy eyes monster
@@Nomlezz6th5 If you control a "Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" monster, you can activate this card from the hand. To be activated it needs a galaxy eyes. To be from the hand it needs a tachyon. Its pretty bad also. Needs to be hard drawn. And needs a tachyon to be really good otherwise if your not going first its a dead card.
😔
Galaxy eyes gameplan is to OTK your opp. going second. They can go first too thanks to cards like Lord and draglubion summoning heart-earth. I still sidedeck 3 of copies of transmigration tho. If you are going first and draw 2 of them or draw one of them and summon lord, you basically won against %90 of the decks
@@P.I.M.P. Galaxy eyes first turn is so easily breakable its not even funny how easily it can be broken. Almost 0 protection with like 3 negates at most
Feather storm allows you to search feather duster from gw as well if destroyed. Is absolute nuts. Card isnt banned cause harpie support is always 2-3 formats behind for some reason.
A couple of things you forgot to mention about marincess wave is how the archetype it belongs to revolves around making 1 card link 3 and 2 cards link 4 combos with basically anything from the archetype and while also setting up the conditions to repeat the process next turn, as well as how easy it is to recycle wave between coral anemone, pascalus and marbled rock, and how it's not even a hard once per turn, so drawing multiples isn't a brick in and of itself.
It's the one card that got me interested into the archetype and thank god we got a reliable searcher for it (basilalima doesn't count)
Love to see a video of the best top 25/30 cards that U can use with any build that can stop combo plays or stop them from make it hard for u to play the game
Red Reboot is in my Floowandereeze main deck, exclusively because of Evenly Matched. Sure, the baby birds don't care about it because they are always banished face-up, but the big birds don't have that protection, so R.R. is useful to counter
Can you do a video on cards that let you summon from the extra deck on your opponent’s turn? Like IP, Hop Ear Squadron, Artifacts Unleashed etc or the new dogmatika ritual trap
would love to see a top 10 spells, traps, or monsters that "banish" spells and traps.. they are rare to begin with so would be great to see what you find.
Cool video. I’m not sure if this has been done yet, but how about Top 10 Best Pendulum Monsters? Or Top 10 Fiend-Type support cards. Cards on this list could be cards that support Fiend-Type monsters in some way such as Hate Buster or Call of the Archfiend. It would not be a list of the best Fiend-Type monsters. Although that would be cool too.
Thank you it's adding more option to my Altergeist
I've started collecting cards @TheDuelLogs lists, not because they are rare, but because I finally understand them.
Before even watching
1. Infinite impermanence
2. Red Reboot
Harpies Feather storm is so satisfying to see people try to activate cards still after playing it
Somebody summoned an eldlich trap into my infinite impermanence column today. It went from the field straight back to the back row, but face up so it was stuck there lol
It's the perfect card to keep your oponente from interrupting your utopia double combo when playing Harpies.
Ture.
How about the 10 cards that feature in the most card artworks?
Goblin of greed and dark ruler Ha Des
Marauding Captain
Sangan, Gagagigo
You forgot to mention that Tachyon Transmigration isn't once-per-turn. If you drew multiple copies of it and you can use all of them in a single turn if you so desire.
I was going to comment that lol, thats the craziest thing about Tachyon Transmigration. If we ever get a sub-archetype for Tachyon (Galaxy would still be the main archetype, Photon and Tachyon would just be different types of Galaxy decks you could run) and ability to search Tachyon cards i could see Tachyon Transmigration getting limited or even banned really fast lol, an ommi-negate that isn’t once per turn that also negates EVERYTHING else your opponent activated in the chain💀
If any, cards the return face down banished cards to anywhere.
I think it would be super useful.
Also love the content, I come back to these videos when trying to include powerful cards in most decks I build.
Necroface can do that
Hey Mr. DuelLogs Duel Logs, have you thought about doing a video on the Top 10 Cards who Have Other Cards Change Their Name To? Definitely a confusing sentence, but for example, a lot of Harpie cards treat their name as "Harpie Lady", and a lot of Water-support field spells treat their name as "Umi". Probably rather niche, but I think it'd be an interesting list to see who keeps getting support
Tachyon needs more support
Kinda what Komoney did with Sharks but restricted to Tachyon Xyz only....
Fun fact about Harpie's Feather Storm, if you can manage to get the card destroyed in a chain where it's activated but not negated, you can get a free search of Harpie's Feather Duster as well as the effect still going off
only searches if opponent destroys it, unironically there is a rank 5 artifact monster that changes your opponent's card effect to destroy a s/t you control so you can forcd them into doing it
Me Can you show me hand traps
Them shows me ash blossom
Me I said the real hand traps
Them shows me red reboot
Me I said the real hand traps
Them shows me typhoon
Me Perfection
I know it is tied to the main deck monsters, but sad to get no honorable mentions for the Magical Musket trap cards. All the main deck monsters let you play them from the hand and they have some decent effects like negating and destroying an activated spell/trap or targeted destruction.
I love harpies feather storm so much.
Impermanence’s power also is added to the paranoia risk… the last thing you want isn’t just it, but really pissed off Mek-Knights swarming all over the place… a major game changer alright
I'm just hoping for a level 4 searcher for Transmigration that also acts as a starter... Galaxy-Photon is my favourite deck of all time, and it's so frustratingly close to being a really formidable rogue deck...
Great going first or second due to amazing access to both generic rank 8s and more archetypical ones, a decent amount of extenders... It just really lacks any great starters, and will always have the bricking issues that any deck with high level monsters does.
I much prefer it to Blue-Eyes, even if Galaxy gets far less fan service and support...
I dont play the TCG, so never knew about Typhoon. Sounds like a solid side deck option.
play cyclone or evenly. Lord of the sky prison makes all destruction s/t removal pretty bad rn.
You should do a video comparing all the different zombie type archetypes then do a video about the top 10 from said archetype.
Did Mr. Logs make a Top 10 cards that bounce other cards list yet?
Top 10 cards that mentions others like: Magicians' soul, Dark Magician Girl, Dark Magician or Magician of Black Chaos, Silent Paladin, Silent Magician LV 4, Silent Magician LV8, The yubels, Great Moth, cocoon of evolution, Petit moth, cards that can make a long chain of mentions other cards. Myself and my opponent failed to read infinite impermenance today. I negated his Hope harbinger, he tried to use it on my follow up Raigeki. It failed. Then I got worried when he used shadow schism....but then it failed because it was in the imperm column.
Harpie's Feather Storm royally screwed up Joey's strategy when he tried to activate his Fiber Jar's special effect that time.
Top 10 Slow Cards That Are Actually Worth The Wait
Can't think of any. Traps can be good but only if you can search them or your deck is mostly traps. Waiting in modern Yu-Gi-Oh is not something you usually want to do.
Future Fusion is the only one I can think of that is slow but has a decent payoff
Witch Strike is the one i can think of...
Final countdown
I remember having an opponent use Red Reboot on my Dinomorphia deck, so obviously I scooped.
Not sure if it's just a Master Duel thing, but there are some interactions where Evenly Matched will get rid of everything. I don't know how it works, though it's probably simple, but I'm going to guess it has something to do with the number of cards the opponent controls when Evenly Matched activates being different from the number they have when Evenly Matched resolves. I've had a couple instances when someone chains something like Scarlet Sanguine to EM, summon out Eldlich, then everything gets banished instead of one card remaining. Not that I feel an ounce of remorse for Cancer-lich players.
I will run a deck full of removal and floodgate-counters just to make them suffer. They are the worst nightmare on earth.
Chain mystical space typhoon to evenly matched, destroying evenly matched. Evenly matched leaves the field, now you control zero cards and banish his entire field when evenly resolves
@@kjb5128 no, you control the mst at resolution then

Top 10 special conditions in the games.
More Rescue Rabbit, please.
Kinda surprised magical musket traps didn't get mentioned
They dont' activate from the hand, the monsters make them activatable from the hand so i don't think they are eligible for this list
How about cards that had entire archetypes built around them (i.e thunder dragon) and are also still used in those decks? Like how harpie decks don't really use the vanilla harpie lady because 1/cyber are better options, but dark magician decks still want the vanilla dark magician for effects
Have we seen a Top 10 Cards That Made a Comeback yet? Cards that were in vogue in the competitive scene at a time but for one reason or another they left, and then reappeared months or years later due to them coming off the ban list or the power creep of the game.
Top 10 Sea Serpents.
I would like to see what it has. :)
Hand traps *must* be well known in order to be healthy for the game. If Konami were thinking straight there wouldn’t be even a single card on this list that belongs to a specific archetype.
Have you done the best flip effect monster? Even if they not played I like to know what use to be best
How about top 10 monsters to set? stuff like Destiny Hero Drawhand, when it's set, and destroyed during the opponent's turn, during your next turn you can get an extra draw and a minster on the field
Well, as a sequel to "Top 10 cards too good for their own archtype", how about "Top 10 archtype cards that are so bad it weren't used in their own archtype"? Like Flameveil Magician or the Chess Archfiend for example.
To be fair, Chess Archfiends are both the first archetype of the game and far different from modern Archfiends
I kinda wanna try Zefras now...
video idea: archetypes that have the most support cards.
Negating your own spells with Imperm is the worst downside... it happened
Tachyon Transmigration is such an amazing card, if only it was easily searchable in Galaxy decks.
I hope Konami makes a Extra deck Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon that Searchs it.
It would pretty immediately get banned. It is only balanced by the fact it is not searchable.
More Tachyon support would certainly be welcomed.
Imagine baiting people to negate your stuffs and you just use it as chain link 8. All your cards resolved, theirs don't and shuffled back to the deck. Yeah I see the potential to be degenerate in rank 8 spam deck, but eh I think it's fine, probably the searcher need to have some restriction but overall I don't think it's that OP considering the powercreep in this game.
I'm curious, how many cards we have that are technically "Umi"? We have Umi itself, the city, the phantasmal spiral one, that monster that creates pseudo-umi if there are no field spells....
What am I missing?
Sea stealth 2 that just came out in TCG lol
The top 3 trap card is a king of all trap king because it is good and generic. all deck can get benefit from that top 3 trap card. Become 1 of must have staple card have in your hand, is worth it to Spend UR and SR for this top 3 card.
Top 10 Best Cards that are not generic (only based on the archetypes)
Please do Top 10 cards with soft once per turn !
Might be a bit cheating. But I think one of the Magical Musketeer traps (probably Desperado) should've at least gotten an honorable mention. That being said I can understand them not being on this list since none of the cards themselves say they can be activated from the hand it's just that all the monsters let you hand trap them.
As a Magical Musketeer player I also feel a bit offended that their traps were not even mentioned. They should have taken No 1 spot honestly - playing traps from your hand during either players turn is pretty powerful. Also, they can easily be recycled with Doc.
Here is a suggestion: Top 10 cards that have been specifically named in other cards. Example: (IDK) Harpie Lady is mentioned in "x" number of cards, then Monster Reborn is mentioned in "x" number of cards.
