Sepultura Symptom Of The Universe - Drum Cover Trey B

- Welp, this one just straight kicked my ass for a few weeks. #sepultura #drumcover of #blacksabbath Symptom Of The Universe. I'm not a top heavy drummer. By that, I mean I have a major tendency to split up faster fills between hands and feet. BUT - for this tune, the vibe is so stupid good I wanted to go the extra distance and at least try to keep the front end fills to my hands. The drummer on this track is their original drummer Igor Cavalera. If you want to know more on him, just type in his name and sit back. A pure f*cking monster. But if you haven't heard of their current guy........oh dude. For those interested, I BEG you to check out Eloy Casagrande's channel ( / eloycasagrandee )
The Female Sabbath tribute did not properly do the ending so I tried my best.
I'll try to link it below. I'll go so far as to say I don't think Eloy is one of the best "metal" drummers out there - I think the dude is one of the absolute BEST drummers you'll ever see or hear. Anyways, I hope you all are great and I'm so thankful you are kind enough to watch. Have an awesome weekend everyone!!!! - Hudba
This guy, THIS GUY!!! Dammm he energized me! You ripped it out and kicked it out of the stadium
I swear we shared the same CD collection... Nativity in Black was a classic tribute album. Wickedly played Bud!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yeah dude, I'm beginning to think that while this may have started as a joke, good chance it's true!!!!!!! Appreciate you bro 🙏🙏
Absolutely one of my favorite negativity in Black by sepultura that is power fantastic work work 🍺
I’ve lost count how many times I’ve come back to this!!!!!!
Whew, that one was a bitch Jeff. My hands were burning the f*ck up trying to get it to the point where I thought it was acceptable to put out. I'm pretty big on splitting fills between the hands and feet anymore. Dude, this track is straight hand speed on those rolls. And there was no getting around it. Had to try and emulate that. Appreciate you!!!
@@TreyBDrums Well, I’m no drummer myself but I think you knocked that one out of the park brother!
WOAH!!! Those rack and floor Tom rolls are like machine gun, super powerful and heavy! Yeah! 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🤘🏻🥁🥁🥁🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Yep duder, Igor left a damn trail of smoke behind those fills ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
I hope you are doing awesome and have a great weekend Ben!!!!
VERY COOL, LIKE 🥁🎶😊👍
Awesome and greatly appreciate that Karl!!!!!!
Bro, those fills in the beginning... h e a v y. And you're absolutely right: Igor is a pure monster. I haven't really listened to post-Cavalera Sepultura but having seen your recommendation, I watched Eloy Casagrande's drum solo. Twice. Amazing stuff.
Igor is a freakish drummer. I still go watch a clip of them from Ozzfest just to watch the pure brutality with which he plays. He's in that rare air in that he completely destroys everything in his path but with intense precision. And...........the same applies to Eloy. I do think they're different drummers though. Eloy is a bit more of a hybrid to me. I was telling somebody else, yes - he plays with Sepultura but that dude could handle a Toto gig and play it just right. He's an amazingly well rounded drummer. He hits H-A-R-D as hell too bro
Flawless.
Awesome cover work Trey B. You rock man. Big thumbs up. 👍✌🤟💥💪🤩
🤘🤘🤘🤘 Man, I just appreciate you being so kind and for watching Andy!!!!
Absolutely spectacular from start to finish, Trey... Super energetic and super explosive... Awesome played, dude !!! 😎🙋🏻♂🥁
Paco!
My friend, I so greatly appreciate that and I appreciate you.
Have a fantastic weekend!!! 😀😀
🤘🎵☺
Dude, I stopped my whole morning to watch this. The fact that you included the jam at the end makes this an 11/10. Absolutely killer. 😎🤘
Telling ya, I messed up not extending that. Myke, I was just so happy to have a clean take I didn't want to push it 🤣🤣. I'm like everybody else on the front end fills because Igor just murdered those but that ending is GOLD bro. I could play that for 30 minutes and in hindsight, I should have gone way longer. Also should have really upped the right hand shuffle. I was just trying to get out alive 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bro, you put it perfectly... Igor is a effing monster!!! and this cover makes perfect justice!!!!! YOU are another EFFING monster, bro!!!! impressive!!!! totally blowned away by those fills!!!
Them fills kicked my ass pretty good 🤣🤣 Telling you, I sit on here and watch so many drummers that are just out of this world fast and it seems like they don't even break a sweat. I'm just one of the dudes that totally breaks a sweat LOL!!! Appreciate you buddy
That is one of the best tribute albums in the history of the world!! You played that shit like you wrote it!! Super impressive.
Yep, that tribute album is hard to beat. I don't know if it can be beat really. Just too many great acts and great songs to cover. But this one in particular just ripped my head off the first time I heard it. I did not come out of the gate doing real hot on those fills LOL! I had to practice this one a bit
Got damn Trey! Your speed, focus and timing on this is absolutely ridiculous!!!!!!
LOL! That's insanely kind of you man. I do not have any cool card though. I know there are so many drummers on here that are just over the top in terms of how fast they can play. Hell, this site is now loaded with straight up prodigy drummers. For real. I was watching Greyson Nekrutman - WOW!!! Anyways, point being I do not pretend to be that. I am an every day rock drummer that slips into the metal world and my style is just a throw back style at best. I don't even own a splash LOL!!!! So I practiced this, worked on it and tried to get it right. No sitting down and just playing. This was the result of some work my friend.
Perfect brother, congratulations.
Entertaining, creative, enjoyable, interesting nd engaging performance 👏👏👏 stay cheerful nd keep in touch sweet friend 🤩🌹
Absolutely and my sincere gratitude for your kindness Ghani 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I bet this is the 10th time I’ve come back to listen to this. Absolutely love it trey!!!!!!
Jeff bro, that's insanely cool to read. My views on these last 2 had gone down so I wasn't sure if I'd just gone too obscure LOL! Doesn't matter, I am so massively appreciative ppl watch. I gotta play stuff I like so I'm so happy you dig it too. I truly mean that dude
@@TreyBDrums I’ve probably listened to it another 10 times since I wrote that. Lol
This cover was galactic! 👏👏🥁🥁👏👏
I loved it, powerful, nostalgic, granite, ferocious
you brought me back to those years !! 🤘🤘🔥🔥🤘🤘🥢🥢💪💪
fantastic !!!
Jason buddy, this one kicked my ass first time through 🤣🤣. I had toyed with doing Sepultura a few times but I just never was overly stoked with how I sounded on their stuff so I do (sincerely) hope this turned out enjoyable enough for folks. Appreciate you bro!!!!!
Wow amazing ❤️🥰👍
Many, MANY thanks 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
That drum roll at the 20 second mark.....Shit was real man.
Whew.........I felt it too 🤣🤣 I watch all these cats on here that just naturally have insane speed and you can see me take deep breaths for those fills in this LOL! But, honestly - I'm bad happy just to have it on here. This one was put up after a couple weeks of practice after work here and there. Appreciate you!!!
Verry precisely, powerfull highspeed drumming, big respect!💪
Inspiring as always!!!! If I walk up to my mom and say, "Take, Take, Take, Take..." her PTSD from my brother and I walking around the house singing this will kick in . That jazzy jam at the end was the funniest thing in the world to us. You crushed this.
I f'n LOVE that they left the end. I should have extended that out Keith but I got a take on this and thought "DONE!!!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Jesus Christ I am not built for this kind of hand action. It's single city as is about 75% of what I do but these are singles just brutified. Igor about had to have at least 2 toms up top because those rolls he puts together come in hot on some higher tuned toms. But they clear out on rumblers. Jesus that boy can play 😲😲😲😲😲😲 And this is ANOTHER ultimate nod to Bill Ward. The end is all Bill Ward, their take on it results from Bill Ward.........Bill Ward remains quite possibly the most underrated rock drummer to ever do it. He's influenced everything under the sun by now.
@@TreyBDrums That's the thing about time and influence, they all end up melting together and we give credit to whatever is shiny and new. At the core, it's the innovators that we always have to remember and show our appreciation by reminding the next generation of their contributions.
super nice job dude! great energy and power! this was tight and clean!
Gaw dang what a great blues swing feel!!! Food for my soul brother! Thank you Lowrida!!!
My bro, thank YOU for watching!!! That outro was so damn fun - I could (and still might) play that just as a loop for 5 minutes! That Bill Ward swing is hard to match.
Have an awesome weekend!!!!!!!!
Wow, great my friend! I wish you a nice time 🔥 👍
Many thanks and I sincerely appreciate you watching 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Good job 👏🏼!! Very powerful cover, on of my tabs of that NIB compilation…keep shining!
What up Enrique!!! Bro, thank you for being so kind. I really do mean that bro. It's my pleasure just to have a forum where I can play my friend 🙏🙏🙏
Juicy action bruh!
great drummer, big like
Many, many MANY MANY thanks Charly P. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
SO HEAVY!!! The floor tom work was epic! I love it!!
Yo TJ! Yep dude, the floor fills were the best I could do. Sepultura moved ALL around that kit they had and it was a WAY bigger kit 🤣🤣🤣🤣 So I had to improvise a bit. Appreciate you dude!!!
Total bad ass cover 🤘
Oh Good God that one kicked my ass Cheri. Speaking of which, I need to get my ass in gear and do another Sepultura
@Trey B or this czcams.com/video/U4GXNzom6ik/video.html ? Lol u can do it. Your legs be burning 🔥
An older friend had the N.I.B. tribute album on cassette when I was a kid. This is the song that got me into Sabbath. Trey, badass as usual man!
Dig the bucees sticker 👌
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 Buc-ee's RULES!!! SO glad they are in KY friend
rolling thunder...!
Once again you just blast all the drum cover versions here on YT.
now i can tell that im fuelled by drumming : it really influences the way i play!
thanks you 🔥🔥🔥
🙏🙏🙏
That's just INSANELY cool of you Olivier!!
Man, please know how thankful I am that ppl like you are kind enough to watch let alone maybe take away something and apply to their own style. Means the absolute world bro
Trey, I love how you found the sweet spot between Bill Ward and Igor. Flawless as always, and the drums sound like cannons (also as always).
James, that might be the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me 🤣🤣. I don't consider myself in either of their leagues but if I can come across ultimately tipping the hat to both of them, I would be MORE than happy. I'd be ecstatic dude.
Man, for real - thank you so damn much for your incredible kindness and support
🤘🤘🤘🤘
Oh yes! I’d love to hear just you drumming! This was awesome! ❤️
SIS!!!!!!!
Another incredible version of this title of the "sabbath" you are really a killer, it is a new slap to each new cover, your channel is great, thank you for what you do !!
🙏🙏🙏 Bob buddy, coming from someone as incredible as you, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Excellent great job my friend 👍🥁👍🤘🤘👍👍!!!
Max bud!!! Hope you are doing great. Thank you so, so much for watching my friend!!! 🙏🙏🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@TreyBDrums You're welcome my friend 👍🥁👍🎼👍!!!
Love this Trey! Those fills are so killer, and I like that you included some of your amazing footwork in the ones at the end. And speaking of the end, how about that whole can of funk you busted open? Freakin COOL! 🤘🤘
Dude, I had a buddy helping me this past Tuesday and your ears should have been burning! I pulled up your Tora Tora cover on the tube and he was blown away. I need to follow up and make sure he subbed you (he's a huge VH fan and I told him he was going to go down a rabbit hole filled with joy LOL!) Dude, the ending of that tune is so damn cool. I should have extended it out a bit but I told my buddy Keith in a reply, I was so damn happy to get a clean take I just thought "DONE"
Seriously, I so very much appreciate you Mike!!!
Dude that was so heavy and those fills so powerful, WOW! You are so pumped you needed a proper gas jockey shirt, good thing it wasn't done up or you would have lost some buttons! Super job once again brother I especially love the end fade out on this tune too such a cool way to end a blistering song like this!
🙏🙏🙏 Dude, I was so stoked to find that old service station shirt!!! I'm looking around now to see if I can add a name tag to it. If I do that, I'm gonna have some fun with the name 🤣🤣🤣
Man, those tom rolls are INSANE!!! Killer job on this heavy Sepultura / Black Sabbath tune, sounds fantastic! And that super funky groove at the end is just like the cherry on the top! 😃👍🥁
Yo Vader!!!!! The outro groove is BOMB ass cool! I love that they (Sepultura) included that and to their credit, they really did their own thing with it. Just a super cool vibe on the original (that's Bill Ward doing what Bill Ward does in the original). Yeah, the fills.........they burned my ass up 🤣🤣 That said, I can't thank you enough for the kindness and the support buddy
Trey, I've only recently stumbled onto your channel and you are quickly becoming one of my favorite CZcams drummers. Superb job. Thanks so much.
Well, let me tell you that I can't properly express how grateful I am that you shared that. For real, it's humbling. Always feel free to throw out songs you think would be a good fit on here and please know how much this comment means my friend 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Those fills are slamming man!! Such an angry song and that breakdown!!
Dude, those front end fills wore my ass to a nub 🤣🤣 BUT, that's OK. I'm getting more and more comfortable with things like that busting my ass. At my age, there is a tendency to want to just accept where one happens to be. And that's fair because I won't change in any big way. BUT - I don't want to sit and be the same drummer week after week. I want to try and push on the boundaries here and there. And this song pushed the shit out of 'em LOL!
Have an awesome weekend my friend!!!!
@@TreyBDrums I totally hear you. I feel very much the same way at my age. I accept that there are things I can and cannot do and things I am better at and not but now that I am not in a band, I have spent the last year trying to find improvements.
Overall, I have always felt that if you think you are totally awesome, you leave yourself no room to improve. Everyone can be better but first you need to recognize where you can be better.
The bar is already pretty high for you man, you are an excellent drummer.
Awesome performance man! Sounds great! I love your style of drumming! So powerful! A bit like a mix between Jason Bittner, Aquiles Priester and Dani Löble! All my major idols! You rock!
Bro, I really just feel as humbled as can be reading that. To even be mentioned with Bittner, Priester and Löble...........you kidding me dude? That's unbelievably kind and so awesome. For real, please know how damn much that means. I don't really roll with that kind of opinion of myself LOL! So, it's nice to just know that stuff connects let alone in that way my friend.
Excellent! One of my all time favorite songs, great job bro *CHEERS* 🥃🥃
Hey Chris! I always love to read the comments on songs that are personal favs to people. Makes me (honestly) smile so I sure hope it sounds alright and I can't tell you how much I appreciate you watching 🙏🙏🤘🤘🤘🤘
Ah yeah badass! You and I agree on Bill Ward as a top influence and it’s so cool to see you do the Sepultura/Nativity In Black album version! Awesome drumming throughout brother Trey! 🤘
Bill Ward is still in my crack head hall of fame for just the intensity and unorthodox approach 🤣🤣 I'm beginning to take comfort in not being able to get a good handle on his feel because I'm seeing hardly anybody can impersonate him. Clufetos studied him and goes to great lengths to truly honor his work in the final Sabbath tour. But if I close my eyes, I can still tell the drums aren't Bill Ward. I do sincerely think he's maybe the most underrated drummer from that whole era. As far as Sepultura's cover of this, they blistered that thing Rich! Appreciate you buddy 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Dude!!!!!! That was sick!!!!!! Those fills were amazing and those floor tims are Ike cannons. That groove/breakdown was funky and right in the pocket. I can't believe the attack you're getting outta your floor toms (toms in general) I have tom attack envy now bro!!!!! Love your channel and this was a great example of why. You broke the bank Trey.......
MARCUS!!!!!! Right back at you. Your stuff has never sounded better and everything about your channel keeps going up and up bro. The floors on this - I did the drumless conversion and it didn't get a totally clean separation so I think I might be benefiting from little pockets of the original tom sound. Not sure. But I do know I've got the direct mics way, way up in the mix on this. Bro seriously, go listen to this actual track. The drummer (Igor Cavalera) just destroys this shit. I was semi-pleased with how this turned out but in no way do I think I'm on his level. That dude just straight attacks the fuck out of this tune. Appreciate you Marcus!!!!!!!! 🤘🤘
@@TreyBDrums thanks, I'll go check it out man. Yeah, a lot of times I get crappy drum separation and it causes distortion or phasing to the track.
I had to watch it again!!!!!
Jeff bro, I'm beyond grateful you watched once! Thank you my friend 🙏🙏🤘🤘🤘🤘
Wow, you were awesome once again! You always impress me!
You and J be careful Sis. Love you and have fun!!!!
That's one of my favorites buddy sic I think it is my favorite video of yours awesome buddy sounds killer
🙏🙏🙏 That means the world Jace.
I so appreciate it 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Gotta love some Sepultura and when they are covering Sabbath freakin cool!! Sweet cover of a cover. This sounds so good and your drumming badass brother!!🤘🤘
They straight hammered this beeyatch dude 🤣🤣🤣 I mean they did their own thing with it and I loved it / love it. Appreciate you Zax!!!!
Lots of fills in this song nailed every single one killer playing bro!!🤘🥁🤘
I greatly appreciate ya bud. OMG, the Oblivion cover is outstanding Jace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was top level drummin right there, you are the man Trey 😮😮😮😮
What's up? Hope you are doing great and very, very sorry for the delayed response. That one kicked my ass a bit LOL! But I was happy to finally get a take I was semi-happy with. Sepultura did a phenomenal cover of that track. Seriously, thank you so much for the kind words
@@TreyBDrums Not as much as it kicked mine i had to nap after that 🤣😂😂
I can’t stop watching this!!!!! 😂
😂😂😂 Well Jeff, I'll take it!!!! Any other Sepultura suggestions? I love reading what folks throw out as ideas. Dude - mean this very much - I thank you for watching more than you know 👊👊🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@TreyBDrums Troops of doom
That’s one of my all time favorites!
Damn Trey that was spot on brother! Great drumming man! Keep em coming!
Yo Mr. Cole!!!! I hope you are doing great man. This one was certainly a challenge so I appreciate the kindness and the support very, very much. It's safe to say that as far back as I can remember, Sepultura has had a monster drummer. It was Igor Cavalera on this track and it's Eloy Cassagrande now - both of 'em are outer worldly players. Have an awesome weekend!!!
Absolutely amazing! Those singles on the toms were very impressive , not an easy thing to do and you did super super good!
This baby is singles city LOL! It's the power / speed combo where there really wasn't any work around that didn't take away from the way this was arranged. This thing packed a punch dude. Appreciate you DMAN!!!! I mean that so much buddy 🙏🙏🙏
Trey, that was sickkkkkk!!!!! Your so awesome!!
Will, I am merely the performer. YOU my friend are AWESOME for watching and leaving such kind words my friend 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Amazing cover of sepultura! Well done my friend
Means the world buddy and thank you so much for watching Steve!!!!
And once again... I had no idea.. I didn't think anything would beat the Speak of the Devil version..🤟😬🤟
Dude...that solid and angry..love it!
and Eloy Casagrande..well wtf..
💪🥁🤟 I just watched a great El Estepario vid with him reacting to Eloys playing..lol Anyways excellent job my friend, You kicked it's a** bro..🥁🎶🙏🤟😎
That Speak Of The Devil version is still in a class of its own. I'm not at all taking away from this one but dude.............Aldridge, Gillis and company just SLAM this motherf*cker on the SOTD cut. I so wish I could do tracks off that thing (Ozzy copyright will block it - I already know this 🤣🤣). Yeah dude, El Estep is also just a brute. But that's hitting a level that I can't really identify with 🤣🤣. I still watch but FUCK that's insanity
@@TreyBDrums Hahahah... I can totally relate what you are saying. I love when he tries to explain in English and the F bombs are flying everywhere.🤣🤟.. Yes the devil album is one of my favorite live..Next to Sabbath LiveEvil
Amazing performance, as always. Love seeing the new vids. Heavy and driving, you definitely killed it on this one...
Dan, how the hell are ya buddy??? Great to see you in the comments! I gave it the ol' college try LOL!!! Man for real, what's new with you??? I so appreciate you dude
😳Absolutely killed it!!!!!
Appreciate that so very much Jeff 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Have an AWESOME weekend dude
One of my favorite song on this Sabbath tribute album, and you made it justice Trey. You rock 🤘🔥
This song stomps some serious ass Patric. And with that said, it kicked my ass when I did the first run through. I listened back and my hands were slow. I had to work on this one a time or two. It was a covid week so good news was I had time to work on hand speed in between bouts of feeling like shit LOL!!!! Appreciate you my dude
Awesome cover!!
Hello Spin! Well bud, I can't tell you how much I appreciate the kind words 🙏🙏🤘🤘🤘🤘
Keep the madness going! Sounds great!
I will do my ABSOLUTE best my friend!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏

@@TreyBDrums Your welcome Trey
This is such a great version of this tune! So friggin heavy! Blistering fills and you my friend destroyed absolutely amazing drumming! You never disappoint with your song selection and out of this world drumming!! Trey B the drum killer! 💪🤘
Coming from Joey C the drum DESTROYER, I am humbled and cannot tell you how much your support means bro 🙏🙏🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
HOLY SH*T! That was amazing! My adrenaline is spiking, lol! Makes me want to pick a fight - just kidding! 😜 I have a few friends that really like Sepultura, so I shared your video with them. I know they’ll love it! Keep up the good work, Trey! Seems like your making a video once per week now, which is awesome! Looking forward to your next 1, dude!
🤘🥁 😎🥁🤘
What up Shawn!!!!! Man, I have been able to get some tunes down as of late so it's helped me to keep a slightly better schedule. I'm also backing off on the vid edits with too many FX and stuff. But that's always in keeping with what I'm feeling at any given time. I can easily wake up tomorrow and want to move back into 7 shots and more FX (not likely but possible LOL!!!!) Now if you have to pick a fight, all I ask is leave dogs and old ladies alone 🤣🤣 Nah dude, I can't tell ya how much I appreciate you bro!
That was bad ass, what a workout. I love sepulturas cover of this Sabbath tune, try to play like Igor but can't do it justice like you did just now Trey. Keep up the good work 🤘
Yo Chris!!! Dude, Igor put the screws to this one. Honestly I have trouble replicating either Igor or Ward. Neither play in a way that's natural for me so I tried (that's a key word - "tried" 🤣🤣) to strike at least a small balance between both players. And here I am talking about those two titans and doing all this made me go back over to Eloy Cassagranda's channel and just sit there in awe. Sepultura has certainly had their drumming duties on lock down bro.
Have an awesome weekend!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Must agree with you Trey
, Eloy is insane an absolute powerhouse of a drummer and one of the modern metal drummers carrying the torch as far as I'm concerned. Looking forward to more covers from you Trey 😀
Those floor toms sound beastly! I love the attack on those heads. This song sure takes a left turn at the end 😆😆Way to crush it once again!
DUDE, the ending of that one is my jam. I love the original a little more than this one but Sepultura really put some groove into it 💪🤘🤘🤘
Sounds like from the "Chaos A.D." era of Sepultura, with the production value & the way the band played at the time. Igor's an insanely good drummer, this does him, Sepultura and Sabbath justice. Awesomeness!!!
That's a hell of a point! It really kind of does and there's 7 years between that one and this tribute album (I had to google that 😂😂😂😂). Igor is just this outer worldly creature. I can honestly say I don't know what the deal is with the split between him and Sepultura. I read "artistic differences" but there's always an actual reason (or reasons). No matter what, he went right on and and kept bad assing out and to Sepultura's credit, they certainly found a replacement as I am a MASSIVE Eloy fan too
@@TreyBDrums Yeah, Eloy rips. He's great. There was a weird falling out between the Cavalera brothers and the rest of Sepultura after the "Roots" album came out, with a fourteen year period of Max and Igor not speaking. It took Dimebag's murder to snap 'em out of that rift, which is good and unfortunate at the same time. As far as Sepultura goes, I doubt Max and Igor would ever return to the fold; that'd be as difficult as getting Sebastian Bach & Rob Affuso back in Skid Row, hahaha. Lot of people have said it's the music business not the music friendship, but it's tough to watch such horrible personal splits occur.
Eloy is incredible, I’ve been in awe over his playing for years. Ever since he was a little kid really. This was absolutely awesome bro. His dynamics and off beat patterns are just ridiculous and you folded right into it bro. Cheers to a fantastic performance! 😎👌⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Igor played this on the recording but Eloy is one of my absolute favorite drummers.
He's a brute Josh. I truly enjoy his channel on here for the sheer fact that while he is now the drummer for Sepultura, dude..........he can play for anyone, anywhere. And I mean ANYONE. If f'n Genesis got back together and needed a touring drummer, he could do it. If Slipknot ran into a jam, he's got it. I think he could play with Toto. He has so many uploads of nothing but drums and his skill set is something to behold. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Wow Trey, this was another Gem of a cover. The dynamics of this song are so cool. You really nailed this one man. Loved it. I had a friend 30 years ago that was really into Sepultura, so I have heard of them, but was not really familiar with their work. This was a pleasure to watch! Please do some overhead cameras again please!!
Yo ROBB!!! I hadn't listened to Sepultura in a long, long time and after this I went back down the rabbit hold a little bit. Iggor Cavalera is a vicious drummer dude. If you get a chance, check him out and especially check out his set up! It's awesome to see. Noted on the overhead cam bro. That does need to make a re-rentry on some covers dude
fkn sweet dude
Hi Trey very awesome!!
Hey Sierra!!!!! Appreciate you my friend
Have an awesome weekend!!!!
🙏🙏🙏❤❤
Killer job ...
Greatly appreciate that and really appreciate you being kind enough to watch 🙏🙏
Great job and awesome choice Trey! A cult song, covered by a cult band, it can't go wrong!
What up Brice!!!! Yep, this one is cult / cult if there every was one LOL! But I will admit Igor's drumming on this just made my eyes pop out when I heard it. I couldn't even come close to doing those fills at that time. They were (are) blistering bro.
@@TreyBDrums Igor was (is) an veeeery talented drummer! Very agressive, unique, fast and with a ton of energy and personnality... Eloy is also an amazing drummer (powerfull and technical as f***) but doesn't have as much personality in his playing as Igor, that's my opinion at least. SEPULTURA were great at doing covers as well!
Madman!
A Madman grateful for you watching ❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Holy moly!!!
This one busted my middle aged ass dude 🤣🤣🤣
But if somebody of your caliber approves, I'll absolutely take it bro
🤘🤘🤘
Wow, killer, thank you.
Thank YOU for watching my friend ❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Awesome, brother.
I LOVE the SPEAK OF THE DEVIL version best. That entire album is gold. As much as I love Brad Gillis, and think that was some of his best playing outside of Night Ranger, that was supposed to be Randy, as we old guys know. Tommy Aldridge kills it.
Michael, I SO wish I could do cuts off that album. That line up and that entire album is gold. Brad Gillis is not talked about enough. I beg people to listen to his work on ANY track off SOTD. Dude, it made a massive impression on me. Aldridge is pure fire from beginning to end. To me that's one of Ozzy's best albums and not many ppl really talk about it and I'm not sure they even know about it. But, the ol Ozzy copyright block is waiting LOL! Way, way back - I did a cover of Fairies Wear Boots and I picked that track. Blocked in the first minute of hitting publish. That was like 3-4 years ago too. But - could not agree more. Aldridge's version of this is incredible
@@TreyBDrums Oh man, we're brothers from another mother. That album has made more of an impact on my development as a bass player more than any other one. I tell newer bass players to learn that album and you can play in any rock band. Add some RUSH and you're covered. I agree it's OZZY's best album and Brad Gillis just KILLS it. Some of his best playing other than Night Ranger. Tommy's drum solo on the double bass drum has always been a finger tapper at school or work on the desk.
Those tom rolls with crashes in between are real fuckers for me. For you, not so much. Great work man. You can really see the strength in your left hand in this video. Superb. A great example of hard work paying off. Just so good brother!
Oh no dude, they are TOTAL fuckers for me too 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I've got video footage of me getting up and walking out of the shot shouting "GOD DAMNIT" just because I'd get going and get tripped up. I appreciate the left hand mention. I can't practice hardly ever anymore but I am keeping a stick at work and I will not put it in my right all day. I just tap my chair or my leg with my left. Or I hit random people with it if they are asking for it 😂😂😂😂
@@TreyBDrums @Trey B Ahahahah great idea man. Work out the left hand and mete out discipline at the same time. Genius! Seriously though...it is paying off.
Perfecto
What up Fernando!!!! Man, that one was a forearm burner. Sepultura to me is hallowed grounds. One band that has Igor Cavalera and FOLLOWS that with Eloy Casagrande.........that's batting 1,000. I just tried to stay in the ball park. Both of those cats are outerworldly players in my eyes. I sure appreciate the kind words and thanks so much for watching my friend 🤘🤘
Come to Costa Rica 🇨🇷
Wow! More Sepultura please!
What 'cha thinking? Love to hear suggestions my friend. I've laid off of them for a bit so I don't mind to start digging deeper and give another track a try. Appreciate ya bud!!!!
@@TreyBDrums anything from Arise album would be appreciated. Sorry I don’t mean to put pressure on. I know that’s a challenging album.
Awesome! I was just listening to this song the other day in the car, this whole album man, one of the best tributes! This is maybe one of the only covers I have ever seen you really straight up focus on your drumming; the look is intense! You can see it was a challenge to play, no doubt Igor does some crazy fills, but you did a fine job. Is it me or do I hear a noise gate opening up when you get over to the floor toms? Love the ending and the fact that Sepultura actually did it on their cover. Have a great weekend bud!
BRYAN!!! Dude I'm loving that we've got some interaction with Fournier on your page LOL! I think the absolute world of him man. He is such an amazing drummer and in my DMs with him, he's an extremely cool / pleasant / nice dude. Funny too. Man, I heard that too and it about drove me nuts. That's an instance where XTrax just conflicts momentarily with my mix. I put every track on solo to hear where that was coming from but of course I never thought to check the damn drumless track. Boom - there it was. Just a momentary drum flare up that didn't get cut out and it sounded exactly like a gate going batty
congratulations on working the music video is very interesting, really beautiful musical expressions I like to hug my friends close, success and good health for you and your family amen I support you forever, thank you my dear friend❤🤝💝🙏🏼

warrior buddy, the donation to me is that you are so kind as to watch! I mean that. I will never "turn down" money but I understand more than most how hard we all work for it. I just want viewers on here to enjoy. But I fucking REALLY appreciate it dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!
🤘🏻👊
🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤❤❤ Appreciate you Michael!!! For real - thank u!!!!!
Sounding powerful as fuck here Trey. Nice work. Brings back memories, played this song on bass way back in 1983 in a high school battle of the bands.
That's incredibly kind of you to say bro. Dude, if you get a chance, check out a drummer named Barry Bangermount doing this tune. I slide around Sabbath for the most part because I just fucking adore Bill Ward's vibe. I don't like messing with it so I find alternate versions. BUT - Barry gets to the soul of what made Bill Ward who he was. I honestly think you'd really enjoy Barry's take on it. I miss playing this. It was always a highlight on the Ozzy tribute set list. Fucking loved the energy and the vibe dude.
Have an awesome weekend!
@@TreyBDrums I'll check it Barry's version out and have a great weekend yourself
