    Hi Chris,
    I’m a newbie to your channel,but I must say how brilliant your presentation,knowledge and humour is in your excellent videos.
    I’ve been biking many years and will no doubt be buying my next item from your store in Guildford .
    I’m based near Brighton so a nice little ride out as well.
    Keep up the good work Chap !!
    All the best,
    Lance.

      I also respect Motolegends' knowledge and experience in the motorcycle clothing field. If I ever come back to or revisit the UK, I'd like to buy some gear there too.
      Don't forget to see their video `10 reasons not to visit the Motolegends shop'. I usually hate the idea of `boutiques' but when it comes to clothing for bikers, I can't imagine a better and more personal service.

    I’ve a pair of these in this colour. They go really well with my Burnt Cuero Belstaff Mojave jacket. I’m 6’2” with a 33” inside leg and the leg length with Rokker leather boots is absolutely fine for me. I’ve, er, footballers/cyclists thighs and calves and they’re very comfortable. Somebody even slimmer would be fine too!

    You have to laugh when Chris, sporting a tweed waistcoat and flat hat, suggests a brand is „too dressy“. 😂😂😂

    I took them through Marocco 1900 miles, with about 400 miles off road and they worked very well. And I also wore them in my enduro boots and it worked well again. Yes the weather wasn‘t too hot (always around 20 degree day time max 25). I really like them.

    I own a pair of these (will be wearing them on a ride later today in fact). Mine are the blue waxed cotton variety. They are built like a tank and definitely feel properly protective while you're wearing them. I can confirm that D3O ghost armour makes them feel more comfortable than the armour they come with.
    The aesthetics of these pants won't be to everyone's taste, nor will they necessarily be a good match for every type of bike. For me and my Indian FTR R Carbon, these pants fit the bill perfectly.

    I found the waist a bit tight for the sizing stated so going up a size would be a good idea. Obviously the hip armour makes the waist a bit tighter as well. However the leg diameter fits quite well so that might be a bit baggier if you size up. I did also find the knee pads sitting a little too low when standing but they seem OK with a bent knee on the bike. The fabric is a bit thinner and softer than I expected. I always have problems getting a good fit with any trousers so maybe I’m just not an average shape! Overall they are a nice change from my armoured jeans and I like the sand colour for the summer months.

    Q: So you have two pant legs, and when you stitch them together, you get “a pair of pants”. A: Exactly, and last we checked, that was the better way to wear pants. So we advise that using “pants” is the way to go - and leave “pant” for the fashionistas.

    The waxed version of these is pretty intriguing, the combination of single layer construction, water resistance and AAA rating is pretty unique, a nice (slightly less technical) alternative to the Rokkertechs.

    Zip is waterproof because it will prevent any form of water like condensation or dare I say in case you missed it “RAIN WATER” causing a zip to rust if caught in rain.. And, how on Earth would shortening the length interfere with the knee armour ?… 🤔

    • @Motolegends
      @Motolegends  Před rokem +3

      I love it when somebody who clearly knows nothing thinks they know everything! If you have to shorten a pant, then there is always a danger that the armour will sit too low, because the armour would have been positioned correctly for someone with a longer leg. We must shorten 20 pairs of jeans a week. If we’re shortening by an inch, then rarely is there a problem, but if we shorten by, say five or six inches, the armour will nearly always be way too low. Your comments regarding the zip are equally ignorant. This is not a waterproof pant, so the chances of condensation causing the zip to rust are somewhat less than zero. The truth is that the zip is an affectation, probably designed to fool some people into thinking the pocket is waterproof. The bottom line is that, as soon as it rains, water will enter the pocket through the material, and any contents will get wet. So the waterproof zip is a nonsense; less so, perhaps, on the wax version of the pant. CP

    Why is the pant asymmetric in the padded area above the knee?

    • @ronr6605
      @ronr6605 Před rokem

      padded breeches are comfy to wear under your leg armor... nowadays this might just indicate that ur a hipster riding a modern classic scrambler in London on your way to the Café. :D

    • @Motolegends
      @Motolegends  Před rokem

      My understanding of asymmetricity is that you’re suggesting that the padding above the knees is different on one leg to the padding on the other; and I’m not sure I can discern this. CP

    I'm wearing them right now.
    Definitely NOT SINGLE LAYER, as advertised. Pointless sweaty Polyester mesh that feels like it will rip the first time i remove them. Size 34", which fits loose. Belt required. Normally I wear a aize 30"-32" depending on brand. So thats...good?
    For this much money, they should be the size on the tag. It's a standard unit of measurement, and not open to interpretation. At least the legs aren't too tight like John Doe pants.
    Too much trouble to send back, but I cant say I'm truly satisfied.
    The front pockets are too small and barely fit today's huge phones. The back pockets are huge, and don't do the backside any favors by going halfway down my hips. The zipper pocket is also small and pointless. Cargo pockets would have made more sense.
    I was hoping these would be perfect summer riding pants.
    Apparently quality isn't available at any price.

    If I’m a 36 inch waist should I buy a 38 !
    Cheers

    • @Motolegends
      @Motolegends  Před rokem

      If you actually measure 36” in the waist, you would normally wear a 34” trouser. This is something the clothing makers do to make us feel better about ourselves and our purchases. So I think a 38” pant would be huge. If you normally wear a 36” jean, however, that’s a different matter. If you wear a 36” jean, then a 38” Fuel pant might be necessary as I think it’s quite a slim-fitting trouser. CP

      @@Motolegends 😂 …I mean the beard, the waistcoat, the signs were all there from the start I suppose.
      But good god man, where does this end?
      Will I tune in to find you espousing the virtues of a Hedon helmet??
      And what of the inevitable counter move by Urban Rider?
      Will they take to selling 1000% waterproof, vaguely Nordic-named, technical apparel?
      …I fear you’re unleashing chaos upon the natural order of things. Kind regards. M

    Fuel jeans look fantastic but the sizing is a frigging nightmare, they fit at the waist but tight at the thighs, If I get the size bigger they fit at the waist but baggy at the waist! And don't get me started on their Greasy Jeans

    I dont understand everyone.. this is a fucking hot double layer jeans. I bought one, and there is inside another mesh layer.. everyone lies for their own product! I sent back..
    More specifically, it has at least 6 layers around the knee :-))
