I mean could you agree that you would never think he could have gone this path with music and be amazing at it??... And to me their music is pure gold to me and original in its own way with a different vibe in each song and some sound like oldies pop to warming and harmonic ... I'm playing catch up with their music and I'm sorry for leaving such a long comment but I hope you could agree or does their music together not surprise you so much? Could you compare these two next to Jonny Cash and June cater doing music together?..
Alison Krauss is one of the “stars” that would actually make me nervous to meet! And I’m not that type of person who cares about celebrity one bit! Something about her voice and confidence just gives me butterflies! Lol 😆😳
He's always been electric, super-sharp in his musicality. He can snap up an emotion so fast. But Alison mellowed him a little bit. They greatly respect each other & are not lovers as far as i know. Two superb natural musicians enjoying themselves, kicking ass.
What I love about these guys when they perform live is that not only is the audience enjoying themselves but everyone on stage does two and the other musicians are obviously getting treated as if they area big part of the performance, which they are! Love real music and this is it! (In my opinion of course)😊
They are even better live. The powerful, yet nuanced nature of their music is amazing. I've always been a fan of both, but when my friend told me they were touring *together* I laughed out loud. No freaking way. They are from different planets musically I told her. She bought tickets to see them, took me (fun for other reasons...) for a weekend and the first time I heard them together was live. One word: Amazing.
Get real! The opposite is true! Robert Plant does most of the leads in the LP, and Alision does the harmonizing. Even in this performance, Plant takes the lead.
you prolly dont care at all but does anybody know a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost the password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
Here's a rock star getting older but not decadent. Self-renewal, great, Plant, that's the way to go; losing his highest pitch but perfect for Americana; and nice he picked charming Alison Kraus.
They are both great obviously, but T Bone Burnett ( to me) is a musical genius. Who else can take a ( traditional) blue grass album and turn it into a massive hit, and Grammy winner for Best album just like this gem.

I hope never to tire of hearing those voices and that guitar together.
T-Bone Burnett may not be the most technically gifted musician out there, but he sure has impeccable musical instincts. He always knows who to work with and how to get the best from them. He is to music as Scorsese is to film.

Great stage chemistry between these two. Plant and Kraus have great voices, and yes Alisons lovely. Alison along with Union Station is also worth listening to.

Robert Plant is quite the musical experiment. I soars near the top of what ever he does and never tries to be something he's not. His music was, is and will always be ageless. And Alison Krauss is no slouch either.
This dude is so active age doesn't even stand a chance with him, from country to country, land to land, he left a musical trail that would last for ages to came, and he doesn't do music, he does the best music, and he chooses his partners wisely. What Terrence said....when singing in close harmony, especially in expressive songs where there are often pauses, it’s a good idea to keep in eye contact. Robert has always appreciated the ladies, but he is also a consummate professional. They are good pals and respect each other immensely. He had the same relationship on stage with Jimmy Page during Zeppelin. They played off of each other and usually stayed pretty close on stage. They all watched each other....that was part of the huge onstage chemistry the band was famous for. So sorry to pop some bubbles, but it’s a music thing, not a sexual one. That said, Allison is indeed a beautiful lady, inside and out.
The sense of relief when you're lost in the woods, it's getting dark, and you don't see much hope of making it through the night, and suddenly a smiling Alison, Robert, T Bone and the band pop out of the brush and gesture, "This way. This way." You go.
I'd certainly go with Alison Krauss! I've noticed that when Streisand switches between her normal voice and her head voice, the head voice goes very much into her nose and gives the head voice a piercing nasal quality that gets to me like a set of fingernails on a blackboard! I did wonder why they didn't show Buddy Miller playing lead for this - Buddy is a great guitar player and it would have really livened things up to see him in action. I know T-Bone is. the brains behind this but it would have been nice to see Buddy get in on it.
Alison Krauss & Robert Plant's 2007 album "Raising Sand" is one of the best things I've ever listened to.

I was into T Bone back in the early 80's! Lost touch. Uncanny how he melded Alison and Robert. What a great band!
Mr Plant is one lucky dude , Alison is one classy looking lady 😍😍👍👍
Nice that they let T-Bone play. And I guess the camera on Buddy Miller was broken, and he's laying down some nice rockabilly, Bo Diddley licks
I did wonder why they didn't show Buddy Miller playing lead for this - Buddy is a great guitar player and it would have really livened things up to see him in action. I know T-Bone is. the brains behind this but it would have been nice to see Buddy get in on it.
Have never seen an artiste blossom as Alison Krauss has ,she is beautiful .
