The United Cup returns for a second year as the best ATP Tour and Hologic WTA Tour players in an 18-country teams' event play over 10 days across two Australian cities: Perth and Sydney. The tournament, which carries 15 million Australian dollars prize money, as well as rankings points, will run from December 29 2023 to January 7 2024.

Alex has the interesting combination of a grinder with tremendous speed and is always looking to get to the net. You can see it how he constructs his points, especially against Fritz. He knows Fritz is reluctant to come so he chips short, then plays line deep, and if that ball is strong, he's already at the net.
Fritz's shortcoming (no net game) is being exposed. I'd be surprised if he can maintain a top-15 rank.
Honestly.. and I don’t say this a hater, because he seems like a really nice guy but Fritz has quite a few shortcomings.. he isn’t a brilliant mover - he looks really awkward, he’s not particularly resilient mentally, he’s not comfortable a the net either, and sometimes the technique on his forehand looks weird. Great serve though

Fritz looks like such a slow court mover lately. And he hits too many balls mid court. If you aren’t the best mover you have to be able to hit more winners

Ahem … let’s not get carried away. Fritz was clearly hampered due to fatigue or injury, but he did not make an excuse.

Not to disagree with you, but I'd argue de Minaur is one of the best in the business at not getting carried away, in the sense that he's extremely aware of his limitations and how to make the most of his strengths
Alex is a paper solider. He shots need more depth and power. I like him nonetheless.
