Do you want to have even more fun? Slap a Floyd Rose FRX tremolo on a Larry Carlton L7. I purchased the sunburst with humbuckers and just love the guitar.

I have a T-7 and an L-7. I like the T-7 but I love the L-7. I know it’s been said a thousand times but they are a lot of guitars for the money. As we all know he only frustration with Sire is waiting for them to arrive once you order one. Worth the wait though. :)
I agree with you 100% on this one. I went ahead and purchased this same Sire L7 to add to the collection and I have to say, It's probably the best deal I made in a long time. It plays great, the quailty of it overall is very impressing and I like others I love the neck. I highly recommend it. I just don't understand how they keep the price as low as they do, but it feels, and sounds like it could cost up to 3 times more.
Great sound and I really love the P-90's sound on this particular guitar.
Personally purchased two SIRE'S in the past week. One S7 and one H7. The S7 is a killer guitar with tone galore. The H7 is a solid white guitar with two humbuckers. Great looking guitar with body moldings that set off the white (color). Very LUCKY to get the ONLY two SIRE'S in stock at Sweetwater. Numerous guitars currently on-order. Sweetwater sells them as fast as they get them.

There were two available lefty Sire L7 in a shop near me, so I looked for reviews and then found yours.
I bought the black top and I love it.
I've got four Sire's...an L7 gold with the humbuckers, a red T7, the S7FM blue (waited 11 months) and a newly acquired cherry sunburst H7V with the P-90's. Dang it, now I want an L7 with the P-90's also. That one sounds insanely phenomenal with you playing it. Love your channel Darrell!!

Mine finally came in from UPS this week! Took it to my local guitar shop for a set up so that I get to experience the joy of getting it AGAIN
I bought the S7 in Champagne Gold Metallic last week and it's beautiful. Sounds, looks, and feels great. After watching this demo I may pick one of these up as well. Great demo as always Darrell.
How well does it stay in tune? I have had horrible luck with Gibson LP's
@@cragginshred They come standard with Sire Premium locking tuners, so I haven’t had any issues at all with tuning. If you’re on the fence about this guitar, I’d say go for it. You won’t be disappointed 🤟🎸
A strong alternative to the epiphone les Pauls.. sounds super sweet.. I hope they come out with a blue flame top p90 version like the L7 😍 I’m sold

I've got an emerald green one I put a set of Warman P-90s in, just love how bitey and gritty it is.

Just got my L7v. Amazing. Only weak point is the output jack plate. Nut won’t stay tight. After tightening, plate cracked. Replaced with metal one. Otherwise, fantastic!
I have a L7 with the flamed top.. excellent guitar, a quality built instrument.

I Say, that these so called; Mid-Range guitars would have been the Professional Models back in the 70s. and 80s. and would of cost a ton more: what a great time to be alive!!!!!

Well right there you know if they put a lot of focus on the neck then these guys at Sire know exactly what they're doing because that is 100% the most important part of the guitar. Looks like an excellent piece of work.
Have the tobacco burst version, georgeous instrument. much thinner than a Les Paul and therefore really light! And those P90 sounding great! fretwork in general is great, But they spare on polishing them. They are a bit scratchy out of the box.

I have one of each, the H7v and L7v (lefties too!!!) . They are amazing for the price. The H7v compares really well with my 335 which I've had 30 years or so. The L7v is easily as if not more playable than my R6. If you're a p90 fan like me, they're awesome.
This was the only model I was ready to purchase sight unseen, but I wasn't alone and they sold out quickly in the what I assume was the first batch. Good.
Sire, any chance you'd consider making 24 fret SGs of this same quality? Asking for a friend :D
I just order my 6th Sire... I want one of every model... KILLER guitars! I love my "Goldie" with P-90's ... plays like a dream! Thanks' Darrell for the review, however, perhaps we should keep quiet about how good they are because everyone with want one and they will be even harder to get!!!

I wonder if these guitars are chambered? I have the t7 and love it. It needed a professional setup and it literally plays as good as any fender.

I’ve been looking for a decent P90 guitar to play slide with. This looks perfect for it.
I found an S7 demo floor model at GC, I'm ashamed to say how little I paid for it, because it was like new. It just needed a good setup, because it sounded terrible at first. But now this guitar is the best Strat style guitar I own! Great pickups, neck, locking tuners.
Fender is asking $1,200 for the same specs! Not to mention Gibson in this case.

I had the one with the humbuckers and I already loved that one. I needed an amp though so I sold it. Tomorrow this one with the p90s will arive and even though it's a B-stock one I am really looking forward to it.

I am blown away by my S7. I will absolutely buy another Sire. For the price point, I'm not sure where the compromise is.

Someone on manufacturing process is certainly being robbed. I don’t see any other explanation. I can be wrong, of course. I hope I’m wrong because of someone is being exploited is almost certainly the workers.
@@jl_woodworks Well, Indonesia is surely not a paradise for shift workers. OTOH I guess that Sire has a lot of automation involved in the manufacturing process. So the prices are the result of a mix of mass production, automation and low worker's salaries. And Sire doesn't spend big money on advertising, but maybe a bit more on quality control.

I have a Fender 50s modified telecaster. Will this sound different enough with the P90s or should i go with humbuckers? The modified has hopped up pick ups from the factory. Thanks.
This has got me thinking about whether they'll do a solidbody dual P90 guitar. If they did, probably just the S7 with two P90s (Fender Noventa style), or an L7, but dare I dream? An LP DC Special copy? Oooooh!!! 😊

Hi @DarrellBraunGuitar - what are your impressions on the balance of the guitar? I got the Sire T7 FM - it's a very nice instrument and I like it very much. Having said that I find that it has quite a bit of head dive. Is this also the case with this model?

Why did i not get a Gigbag with mine? I have a L7V LH but alas no Gigbag, just a box with Larry Carlton on it. It's a thing of beauty though. I found them a bit Sitar sounding until plugged in. For the price though they are very impressive.
in the uk they dont seem to come with a gigbag at all let alone of the quality yours looks like
