Couldn’t sell Hollywood for a bag of chips a few weeks ago. Just traded him for the 1.05 after he went to the chiefs. I feel good about that even tho y’all say hold him.

You guys gave me some advice with my team/league to move off of Hollywood, ended up moving him and a 2024 2nd for Deebo and a 2025 2nd. I know Deebo is the WR2 on his team, but I also see Hollywood the same way whereas I do think Deebo could be a WR1 on a different team and his contract is coming up. Hope I made a good move!

Fellas, keep up the awesome work! I love your dynasty videos. My current 12 team dynasty WR's are Puka, JSN, Diontae Johnson, Hollywood Brown, and Jahan Dotson. Should I trade my 2025 1st and 3rd for Mike Evans and their 2024 late 3rd? I currently have the '24 1.06, 1.11, 2.03, and 3.04 ..... I kind of need to upgrade at RB as well, so should I go after a win now veteran RB instead? I'm good at TE and QB with A Rich and Purdy and then McBride and Ferguson. Thanks for any advice!!
I would not trade future 1sts for veterans on the wrong side of 30 this time of year. Veteran RBs are cheap, that's a better route to go. Conner, Chubb, Jones, Kamara. Appreciate your support!

Hey guys, great show. 12 tm Superflex 1.0 ppr for wr start 10. Rebuild. best assets are Arich, CD Lamb and 24 1.01 (Caleb), olave, Pitts. Everything else is trash. I'm thinking about splitting up CD into multiple assetts. Guy with 1.02 owns most picks up from 1.07 , too. So my idea was to give CD, get 1.02 (Marv) and 24 1.07. Good return or to little?

Tried riding the waves with Burks, Dobbins, and CEH hoping they did better or at least increased in value. They're still young, but now I got 3 worthless players no one wants. Very sad.

Drafted Fields at the end of the 3rd round in a 12 Team SF two weeks ago in a startup. Ended up having Saquon, Mixon, Pacheco, Henry as my rbs so I flipped Henry for Russel Wilson. Do you think that was the right move? AR is my QB1.
I am unsure as to why ppl were ever that high on Fields. If it helps, there is no way that Russell Wilson is the season long starter. But guys will have a chance to showcase themselves. I will be drafting Fields late in bestball as my qb3

In a DEVY league I sold Kyle Pitts for Treyveon Henderson. I think there is something wrong with Pitts' route running and not blaming all his problems on the previous Falcons QBs.

I got offered the 1.03 and LaPorta for the 1.01 in SFLXTEP. The other guy’s a bears fan and willing to do whatever it takes to get the Bears’ QB (he assumes it’ll be Caleb). I was going to accept the offer but am debating whether to do it before the NFL draft. Should I wait to see how landing spots shake out or take the deal and run?

B-Rob is coming off an RB21 season and Ekeler won’t cut into his carries.
Zamir was given a heavy workload down the stretch after Jacobs went down (84-397-1, along with 9 grabs on 13 targets for 60 yards), so it looks like they’re gonna give him a chance at being the guy for at least this season. They added Mattison as a depth piece, but ZW should see 20+ touches every week in that offense with either O’Connell, Minshew or a rookie at QB.

Just as one does in the stock market, you should always be adjusting how you perceive assets’ value when presented with new information.
You two are describing the sunk cost fallacy; if people are willing to pay more than you are currently willing to sell for, you should make the sale regardless of what you’ve paid. It’s all about making moves with positive EV to put you in a better long-run position.
I typically like y’all’s analysis but this is a major miss
We are not describing the sunk cost fallacy here. This is not Econ 101, this is day trading. Day trading assumes more risk and volatility, and holding through volatility is something that you have to be comfortable with as a broker. If every time an asset lost value the move was to sell, you’d lose all of your money.
The caveat with the sunk cost fallacy that isn’t true here is that it’s truly a “fallacy”, and there’s no chance that an asset will increase in value again. Holding a dynasty asset going through a value dip and giving them a chance to go back up in value is not fallacy. Kyler Murray, Deshaun Watson, Kyle Pitts (already gone back up), Dak Prescott. All examples of guys that LOST value that you could have easily sold at their low point, but you evaluated this “new information” you speak of and decided to hold because it would benefit you to not panic. And behold - it was the right choice.

I'd personally rather have A Rich, Pittman and the 1.10. Who knows what you're gonna get with Diggs moving forward, the stack is nice, and the 1.10 has a lot of potential IMO. Herbert lost his WR's for now and that offense is gonna be run heavy.

FFers are obsessed with comparisons to the stock market, but it’s a poor analogy. The aim of a broker is to sell at a profit. That isn’t the case with FF - the aim is to have the best “stock”, not the largest increase in value. Nothing wrong with buying high provided you’re getting actual quality. Who do you think you’re winning your league with, George Pickens and Justin Fields or Mahomes and CeeDee Lamb……
But love the content fellas so keep up the good work!
The aim of dynasty, like normal redraft, is to win your league. You win your league by scoring more points than your opponent. You accumulate value, so you can spend that value to acquire pieces that score you the most points. That's how you get CD lamb and Patrick Mahomes. Most people aren't fortunate enough to hit on prospects like that when they're cheaper rookies. You can only afford them with the value you've accumulated on your team.

I traded marvin mims and a 4.08 for Justin fields and a 4.04. Got the trade done yesterday and feel like I won that trade cause I don’t trust mims
This was such bad advice. It is true the loss doesn't hit the ledger until you sell but the loss is still real and should be considered sunk cost. Now if you are willing to bet on a rebound that is reasonable but absolutely no thought should be given to what you bought the asset for or how much you have lost. Again that is sunk cost and value moving forward is all that should be considered. Yes many times holding may end up being the right thing to do but if you are making that decision based on anything other than projections moving forward from that particular point and it hits it is from dumbass luck. This is also true with financial investments.
i cant stress enough how many times ive done this successfully over the years, its not like we havent practiced what we are saying here. its proven effective, its not bad advice if it works.
i also totally disagree that the price you paid should not be considered here.
i WOULD say that the price you paid should not affect your decision making, but it doesnt mean it doesnt matter at all. we arent saying "wait for them to get to their original price". the point is that patience pays off, and selling an asset as soon as they lose value is a terrible idea. obviously if there is no chance an asset bounces back in value, then that IS true sunk cost. but with an asset like Justin Fields, that just is not true.

I disagree with the tech startup analogy. Quentin Johnston is doo doo and is never recovering. If you sold for two 2nds in season last year, you look like a god. Holding until his value falls to 0 is just bag holding.
Of course, the analogy doesnt apply to every situation. But it’s still accurate in this case, that’s just a tech startup that you held and it crashed. Day trading doesn’t always mean you win, ask any broker.
Hindsight is always 20/20, it still doesn’t change the strategy in the present when future value is unknown. What was the likelihood that QJ increased in value compared to decrease?
Hope that makes sense, you can’t use hindsight to dismiss this analogy because we can’t tell the future. There’s risk in every investment in any tech startup and any dynasty player, and not all of them hit.
