A blind American folk-singer Paul Peña (now deceased) learned throat-singing and went to a competition in the autonomous region of Tuva, Russia, and wowed them with his blues renditions of throat-singing. This was shown in the documentary GENGHIS BLUES (1999).
It's overtone singing and it's not that complicated just a lot of practice. I learned all kinds of vocal techniques while driving around and this is one of them. I just don't have a vibrato when I sing so it's what they do minus vibrato.
@@ZTheLastViking As a metal vocalist, I can confirm this really isn't too hard, kargyraa is really useful if you want to learn how to do metal screaming, I learnt how to throat sing second and it has improved my breath control and over all sound greatly so can only recommend for anyone into those kinda vocals
What is actually going on is polyphonic sounds. That means in one sounds there harmony that goes with that note in higher octave, so he technically singing one note but the polyphonic harmony is louder by throat singing technique or polyphonic singing technique, that's why you can hear two notes. Love Sygyt, Kargyraa, and Khoomei singing. Been practicing for months and Sygyt (the one where he whistles) is so far the hardest. But they recommend learning Karg;yraa before learning the others.
