That’s not true, you’d probably never get a kill in my lobbies, I top frag every cod lobby but I have to sweat cause there are kids thinking it’s a mlg tournament. Sbmm is a mistake
I’m actually able to see myself improve in Xdefiant without sbmm which is something I haven’t experienced in a long time and is what gets me hooked on a game. It’s a wonderful thing

Loving the no SBMM. I had to learn how to play this type of shooter all over again after playing COD. Sure sometimes you get stomped but as a solo you can end up with a great team and do the stomping. Lots of fun.
My argument for no SBMM which no one else seems to talk about is the consistency in my performance. I am not a sweat, I’m level 53 and have only gotten mvp 4 times with a .9 kd lol but my performance is fairly consistent averaging around 20-25 kills a game. Some Anomalies where i get 35 and a few where i get 8. But overall I’m hitting 20-30 consistently. My biggest struggle is how people get high KDs seems like everytime i win a 1v1 someone is immediately shooting me from a different direction. I have no idea what to do to prevent that
i’m level 40, and have a 2.0kd and for the most part, i’m an aggressive player but to get a higher kd you’ll have to play a bit more passively and play around your team more. xdefiant is really punishing when it comes to positioning so always play around cover if you can. try to capitalize on the space you have and don’t be scared to push up when given the opportunity
I’ve been playing CoD since the original MW2 2009 and XDefiant has been such a blast for me. The fact that there is no SBMM/EOMM is what makes it so fun. Not going to lie though I’m not the best player in the game; most matches I would just barely go positive if not negative but that’s fine to me as it brings me back to the days where when I was new to CoD it was the same thing, you where thrown to the wolves and told to fight but each and every time you would die; it’s all part of the learning experience and I’m having so much fun with it. Unlike modern CoD when you feel like you’re improving at the game it’s because you are and not because a artificial intelligence algorithm artificially inflates your skill levels to maintain your engagement and to sell you bundles in the store. 😁😁

in XDefiant i'm not at the top of the scoreboard but i have much more fun than in COD

Played for hours with the boys last night. Even my friends that arent great CoD players were able to have a game here and there where they did really well. I was smashing again. Also got whooped a few times. Also our "reg" friends actually got BETTER because they were challeneged and then played easier lobbies and mid lobbies. They got better as the night went on and there were a few games where we all did really well. As a life long CoD player, just stop hating. Get better at the game.
PRO TIP : Headshots are extremely powerful. If I were to guess, the multiplier is around 2.5 to 3x regular damage, compared to 1.5 in cod.

I 100 percent agree. I remember playing black ops 2 and mw3 back in the day and playing against the sweaty drop shotting reg gunners... Like yes, it was frustrating but my only thought was damn hes/shes good and thats inevitably what made me want to improve at fps titles

I enjoy the game. Some balancing is questionable when attachments are factored in, but it's a fun game to play.
The only thing I feel that just doesn't feel right at all is jumping, especially the in air movement. Being able to float around freely in mid-air like its low gravity (the in air movement, not height or speed) just doesn't feel right at all.

Not a rant, a wake up call for everyone. We need to stop comparing this to CoD. It’s an arena shooter with hero abilities. That’s about all it has in common with cod. Enjoy this game for what it is and stop wishing for it to be what it isn’t. I left cod because I don’t wanna put that much effort into 2 grinds when I know I’ll enjoy 1 more than the other.

SBMM should never be in any multiplayer games. You have an open lobby casual mode, and a ranked mode for those that want a grind, with an added competitive mode.
People who are for sbmm are the generation of 5th place trophy winners. We didn't need our hands held coming up. live with it.

The view of any game where it's player vs player should be screw bad players. COD use to be more like that. The term "Get good" came out of that mentality. If you're bad at a game, it's up to YOU to get to being average, good or great, it's not up to the dev's or corp behind the game to hand hold to make it "fair" to you. If you don't want to get smacked up in a FPS, get good or get lost, play something else. I thrived as a solo COD player for years on console. I did not ALWAYS win, I did not ALWAYS get great games but I played enough COD back in the day and got good enough to legit drop nuke's weekly before all this gaming content was even a thing. People would claim I'm hacking on PS3, Lag switching, call me try hard, blah blah. Back in MW3 and all the black ops, I was a TDM Lone wolf slayer. I was Top 9000 in score in the world in MW3, John_Bradley-. I was also part of some clans back then who claned pretty casual but I was 99% solo.
I was good enough to go 30/1 with just ballistic knives, or sniping or run and gunning. When I came back to COD in the NEW MW2, even though I was still decent, I have not got a single Nuke, and it just feels off even when I got decent games. I also use to play Destiny 1 years ago, started Destiny 2, played Halo, A.V.A on PC, PUBG and more. If you don't have time to be as good as I was, cool, quit or figure it out or don't complain and get washed here and there; if you have the time, shut up and get good. I don't know what else to say. I'm not complaining that I can't get a nuke anymore and I don't go as crazy anymore on COD, I'm 36 now, I got a child, a wife, work, my issue is that COD is no longer fun even when I have great games.

I tried out this game 3 days ago and i like it. Im actually having fun ... alot of it. Im hooked something that only in the modern era i can say helldivers 2 did. Cod is lost right now. Xdefiant is free which is a bonus. I gladly spent $20 to get the battlepass and a skin. If the game is fun the money will come. Cod can get even more money and more players into it but they are lost.

Agreed. The only point I would raise is on how next to everyone is using the MP7 or the ACR. It's the one thing that I am finding disgusting after each match I play. Sure meta is meta and guaranteed in the future it will be nerfed. Until then though people who don't use the meta will suffer. But have to take that with a grain of salt. There will always be metas. The gap of balance between weapons in the same category atm is the widest it will ever be and I can't wait till they are just a smidge closer together.
Nah there's no meta, I mop lobbies using mdr and mp5, everyone's cod brainrot overload has them believing in meta guns. Not the case anymore, there's just more ease of use with those guns, but the mdr is better than the acr in the right hands, same with mp5, just gotta be smart with your build on its strengths
@@x_BraveN I will only partially agree on this point lol. Once you have the attachments unlocked the MDR is one terrifying beast. I assume the same is with all categories. But out of what you get to use "stock" there sadly is a meta as to what to use. Thankfully I don't follow it since I wanna max out everything and I'll get to them eventually BUT... Here they are.
I laid down cod about eight months ago before I realized it really is rigged. I love x defiant but Ruben, get his handle on this. Hit detection and shooting through barriers or a lot of people's going to turn away from it. I think this game has potential. And I really like it, but the hit detection and the guns. Having problems on the most random times is a real issue

I came from watching garbageTV guy 51 subscribers in the description he said "I played for an hour and gave up out of pure frustration" and he started playing mw3 which is the cod with the strongest sbmm of the entire franchise. These people are bad at the games and it's funny 😅.

As an OG COD player, kinda liking the no SBMM as I'm getting a new range of match types. Think if you want COD erm play COD, kinda bored of it and miss running and gunning and playing objective games lol.
