Yeah, I think there was an update that made the Online Multiplayer air race checkpoints more precise. So I get the problems between switching between singleplayer and multiplayer air races/checkpoints. Especially since that update only made the yellow marks more inconsistent.

My favorite error message is "Timed out locating session", implying a session couldn't be found. However what actually happened is you DID join a session very briefly and got disconnected, and from everyone else's point of view, you just left the session.
The error messages actually lie to you... and this game was made by a billion-dollar company.

The problem is not that he is missing them. The problem is that it is utterly inconsistent between Single player and Multiplayer. And even worse, it is utterly inconsistent between Multiplayer and Multiplayer.

@@HTeamYes I regularly play stunt and air races, never missed a single checkpoint if i hit the blue arrow with the nose of the plane. Wings have wonky hitboxes sometimes. But you should always fly the optimal route by hitting the checkpoint dead center. Hardly the game's fault lol

This is one of the worst pieces of software from a company I've ever seen, if Rockstar held a fake site online that stole your banking info I'm sure it would bug and accidentally give you access to Rockstar's bank account, that's how useless they are
Edit: Also matto the stats on GTA Online aren't accurate at all, don't rely on them

All this time he's pushing to always hit the ring with only a pixel of his plane's wing and I'm like "Why are you doing this to yourself and then getting mad at not getting the checkpoints when you miss it slightly?"

In car races you just need to be in the vicinity of the checkpoint and it counts. Air races though are so inconsistent, that you can easily miss them even when most of your aircraft is in the checkpoint. I'm fairly sure the offline checkpoints are more lenient too, so there is that also
and in 12:20 - 12:21 you can literally see the guy in blue frame by frame go with his entire body through the finish line but looking through the chat it seems like it didn't count
It did count. The guy got 1st and the message "That guy got 1st place" appeared right when he crossed that.

I believe the yellow checkpoint markers are based on your characters position, so you could be further from some checkpoints above and below you but the wingspan dosent count as it’s too far, if that makes sense. At least that’s how I believe they work. I realised this in game modes such as sumo where your car can be out of the ring as long as your character is within it
He hit one of the cps straight on with the center of the hydra, it's just the Checkpoint's hitbox that's shit, not the actual way they're registered.

Hey Matto, I don't know if you already knew it but the hitboxes of checkpoints in story mode's flight school are different from online. While in story mode the checkpoint will count even if you barely touched it, in online you'll need to go right through the middle. That probably explains why you missed so many of them.

@@boggeshzahim3713 all they need to do is increase the hitbox size bigger than the actual checkpoint. Most devs make hitboxes larger than needed to ensure the game is fun.

It was the worst pain ever to try and get this glitchy af achievements and I will never go through that again. I have 100% achievements in many many games but none are as bad as GTA V. When I saw that Matt was doing this, I was prepared for a never ending series and it is already starting haha

It is funny how I menaged to beat Tales of Arise in just 2 weeks along with it's achievements, 110-120 hours, and this guy is playing the game for more than 9K and we get to watch this after those 9K XD

@@Awnyaaa I found the combat really fun as the game went on along with exploration, RPG elements are in place although there could be more costumes... The game itself is really slow and it is meant to be played without rushing.
But, my God, they nailed the characters for me! All of the 6 of the main cast were just perfect! I was concerned for the fact that it was an anime game, because it always ruins the narrative 'cause of the cringy anime style dialogue, but it was done extremely well in Tales of Arise.
