One thing to note about beginner/intermediate Kings is that many of them just mash all 4 buttons to complete most chain throws. They always become 1 breaks. Also, if King uses ultimate tackle the most damaging option he has is a 3+4 break (both kick buttons), I've never seen anyone break that yet.

The unbreakable throw from run has a very telegraphed animation so you can duck it on reaction with some practice, and the low leaves him on the ground afterwards so it's fine to just take it. So the best thing to do is just stand block while looking for the throw. 🙂
Im a king Player. Got demoted from emperor back to tekken king rank so i know a little bit about that character. My defense is pretty good and i have good Match up knowledge. King without good defense and fundamentals is difficult to Operate in higher rank because most of the players there know the king Match up and they punish and Step his moves. At least for me i can say i struggle against players who are extremely aggressive in your face type of players. King struggles against aggressiv playstyles + his best move FF * 2 is very easy stepable then you can launch. In my opinion king is doing fine in tekken 8. Although i disagree that he is overpowered etc. He is still king. Anyone who was good at the Match in t7 and Prior will be good against t8 king as well. I can see that most beginner and intermediate players struggle against hin but in higher blue auf Gold ranks he incredibly difficult to play. Theres always two sides of the coin. F.e. he is not very often in god ranks and above. There are just a few pro's and some cheaters. Its not like dragunov f.e.
If they step your ffn2 you aren't using ff1 enough. King's space control is kinda absurd. He shouldn't have such a good approach tool. Also best counter hitter in the game. Maybe you just need better timing. But it certainly isn't King who is lacking, it's you.
I disagree. FF,1 is not good enough in T8. It was + on block in t7 and it was a CH Launcher. B1,2 is a CH launcher but you have to commit to the whole string. Its not like you can time the ch every time. What are you Smoking???
And DF,2,1 is a super good move. It always was but with a little bit af Training you can duck the second Hit very easy and launch. What are you guys thinking we King players always Land ch with b,1,2 and df,2,1??? Oh i See that is why all the Pro players on a high Level have a back up King in there Repertoire... clowns

Hi Instructor! ❤
Oh, I learned what to do about that armored stance bum rush - THROW HIM. HE IS OFFICIALLY IN ARMOR MODE.
He can cancel it
