      Lucie, you must live in the United States or an area that has an Air Force recruiter. Enlistment into the U.S. Air Force by citizens of countries other than the United States is limited to those foreign nationals who are legally residing in the United States and possess a U.S. Citizenship or non US citizens must have an Immigration Services (U.S.C.I.S) Registration Card (INS Form I-551 -- Commonly known as a "Green Card". The green card must be a 10 year green card. Applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 39 years old, must speak, read and write English fluently to apply to join the Air Force. The Air Force does not bring applicants to the United States to join. You must get to the United States legally on your own and complete all immigration processing to obtain your Green Card on your own. The Air Force does not help.

    I watched it all. It is very informative. Just to clarify about the wrist watch, smart watches are not allowed. How about the military digital watches from Casio? or G-shock? Can you bring that into BMT? Thank you if someone can answer.

    When you are in deps are you still allowed to work at your current job, and then be deployed to BMT?

    • @USAirForceRecruiting
      @USAirForceRecruiting  Před 5 měsíci +1

      What is the DEP The Delayed Entry Program (DEP) allows you to take the ASVAB and the physical exam
      now and reserve a job. Thus, the term, "delayed entry". You will be in the DEP approximately 3 to 9
      months. During this time, you will stay in touch weekly with your recruiter to verify that you are doing
      what it takes to remain qualified. You must also attend mandatory DEP commander’s call every month.
      It is a good idea to use this time to get in shape for Basic Military Training (BMT) as well. Start a physical
      fitness program that will have you running 2 miles prior to leaving BMT training as well as doing a very
      basic workout routine. This will have you ready for the rigors of Air Force basic training prior to your
      departure for basic training. While in the DEP you will find out which career or aptitude area that YOU
      selected at MEPS that you are receiving and when you leave for Basic Military Training (BMT).

    • @USAirForceRecruiting

      Deleon, recruiters should reply within 10 business days not including weekends or holidays. Unless the recruiter is on temporary assignment away from their office or on vacation.
      You may also log onto our live chat www.airforce.com/chat-live or call us at 1-800-423-USAF (8723) option 1 or call 1-800-253-9603 to speak with one of our live advisors who are ready to answer your questions, and further assist you. Many of my students joined the Marines. Why? The Air Force had one recruiter for several areas. It took him a long time to answer folks and they were frustrated. Keep calling and emailing. Do not give up.
