  • In 2012, Versa Drives Private Limited introduced Superfan, the first extremely energy-efficient ceiling fan using BLDC motor technology. The same amount of airflow was delivered by this incredibly energy-efficient BLDC ceiling fan while using less than half the electricity. As India's first highly energy efficient (BLDC) ceiling fan, the invention has now received multiple patents and prizes in recognition of its accomplishments. Understand how a BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) ceiling fan motor operates.
A revolution that transformed the direction of the Indian ceiling fan industry towards new technology, efficiency, and performance began with the launch of Superfan in 2012. We have led the ceiling fan business in technology over the past ten years thanks to our relentless innovation, and we've established the standard for other manufacturers to follow.
Thermal comfort and it’s cost on the nation
Given their low price, familiarity, simplicity, and accessibility, ceiling fans continue to be the most popular cooling appliance in India. Due to demographic changes, climate change, and increasing electrification, ceiling fans will continue to be the most popular option for many years to come. Ordinary ceiling fans put a heavy burden on our power infrastructure and considerably increase environmental pollution as a result.
40 crores ceiling fan in India
    Creating 16000 MW electricity demand.
Power consumed by ceiling fans every day
    Emits 1700 tons of CO2
    Pollutes 1700 kilolitres of water
75% of electricity generation is from coal-based power plants
Generation of 1 kWh electricity every day
Emits more than 1.5 kg of CO2 into the atmosphere
    Pollutes 2 litres of water
Indian solution to an Indian challenge
Superfan invented ceiling fans with BLDC motors to handle this Indian problem in a novel way.
By saving 10,000 MW, moving to BLDC ceiling fans can reduce the environmental effects of all current fans.
Superfan is the most Indian way to increase our level of independence while keeping consumer spending domestic.
