    Update: on 20+ JLs and 21+ JTs, you no longer need to run the secondary power wire for the halo rings, as it is built in to the jeeps main harness.

    I was thinking about buying the LED Mopar and replacing the stocked halogen headlights myself but after watching your video, I think I am going to let the professional do it. Thanks for showing me how much work is involved to get the halo to work.

    Thanks for the vid. I got the Mopar LEDs mounted. But geez, had I known how much work it is to get the d*mn halos to work, I may not have bought them. Plus the dealer flash. It is just absolutely ridiculous. There's no way I can recommend anyone to buy these things.

    Thanks. Found this helpful for my install. I agree these are great quality. I like the halos. Was definitely more work than probably worth, but part of the fun of owning a Jeep is the fun of tinkering with it. Definitely have to pay attention to get the wiring right. Also, unmounting the BCM lets you pull it down for much easier access to C1A. There are 2 10mm bolts you take off to do that. Still a huge pain in the hand/back working on that tho!

    I have 21 diesel. My driver’s side light has 4 wires but passenger has 3. When I ordered the kit from the dealership it came with the same harness in this video but when I looked it up on Mopar it stated that this kit does not fit my vehicle. I installed them without halo but when I switch to high beam low beam turns off. I can’t see anything in front of my vehicle. Any idea on what to do?

    Thank you so much for the video it was very helpful. I have a 2021 Jeep Wrangler JL and it looks to complicated for me personally, then I saw your comment above and about no longer need to run the secondary power wire for the halo rings, as it is built in to the jeeps main harness. Is that true? That's music to my hears lol

    Those new headlights look nice, but how do they look at nite, on the road, low & high beam.
    Also, the wife likes the neat little "easter egg" in the halogen lite, the Jeep grill in the internal reflector.
    Do these new lites have an "easter egg" too, since they're Mopar lites?

    If you have a JL that came with Halogen headlights, Mopar LED LIGHTS will not work with your computer. You will end up at the dealer trying to get the error light off your dash. Not to mention it costs big bucks.

    • @ambrose.little
      @ambrose.little Před 3 lety

      Most likely the wires are not firmly seated in the connector at the BCM. I used a hemostat to grab it and firmly press it in. Small needlenose pliers probably work too. You might hear click. Give a tug to see if it backs out.
      Unfortunately this is the most painful part of the install IMO.
