I love deva curl. It makes my hair so soft, softer than any other shampoo Iâve ever tried, even better than the Alterna hair care caviar products. I feel bad for the girls that it didnât work out for but I donât think itâs deva curl at all. Because Iâve got sensitive hair, and it bring out so much beauty in my curls. Now I just have to be not lazy to actually buy a satin pillowcase so that it doesnât look so messy all the time. Like I got scared because of all the girls saying that deva curl doesnât work for them and I stopped using it for 6 months, and nothing worked. Iâm back on deva curl and I swear the DIFFERENCE. So much more definition and shine.

Funny - I use those same three products in the reverse order and the foam on my ends to prevent frizz. I use the spray gel for lift at my roots.. Iâve been pretty happy but will try it your way because, just like curly hair, no two days are EVER the same!!! :-)

Did you ever try the setting spray Set It Free? I use it often. It gives my fine hair a bit more texture. It helps with volume and frizz for me.

Second! Im used to using a sulfate free shampoo by redken (magnetics) that is also good for colored hair. I use a lot of products so I'm curious if the nopoo will get them all out and if it's color safe.

New sub here! Love the entertainment in your videos! Do you fluff your roots when theyâre dry and break the gel cast by scrunching? Do you scrunch with a T-shirt or microfiber towel to soak extra water? Or were these parts just not in the video? Thanks Mell!
Scrunch and plop right before you diffuse take some gel or foam and scrunch it into your hair then diffuse if you want a cast

Love your videos! So funny! I have long 2c / 3a hair and I use deva curl, Any tips for getting the underneath longer layer little more defined. I feel it can get less curl because it's long and heavier and they won't clump like the shorter layers. Maybe I'm not putting enough product?

It's interesting that you don't follow the Devacurl method that I was taught when I got my Devacut by just using the no poo shampoo and conditioner and gel. Thank you thank you because I've had too many complications with dry curls and frizz when I follow their method of sopping wet hair.

Hey so Iâm trynna decided between the wave maker and the mousse, I have waist lenth 2a to 2c hair and I know sheâs low porosity. I canât decide what would work best for me, anyone have any idea?
TheMistyclover I have waist length wavy hair as well. I love the wave maker! My hair is super heavy though, so the definition doesnât stay very long for me. Iâve yet to find a product with enough hold to last a couple days. However, using the WaveMaker and then following with a gel (Iâve also seen people use the foam and then wave maker) give more hold

My beauty supply lady told me their strongest hold gel was their best seller vs light hold.
I think its dependant on preference and what curl type is using it. if I use a gel with too strong of hold I lack volume and movement, so personally, I prefer something lighter and liquidy!
Ive tried allll this very expensive stuff annd i must be from a different beast cuz this stuff did nothing great for my hair. Im just being honest..your hair beautiful though

Ugh too much effort required
The issue youâve having with with attaching the devacurl hand diffuser is you first have to take off the green band and stretch it some. Then put it back on and slide it up as far as you can towards the fingers on the diffuser. Now you can attach your dryer to their diffuser by pushing down lightly, then move the green band over the diffuser to hold those 4 green prong type things to the dryer. It takes a little time so i have one dryer solely dedicated to diffusing so I donât have to mess around with taking the diffuser off and on. Itâs so worth it! DevaCurl has videos on instructing how to attach the diffuserâŠ.donât worry, I didnât read them either. I just tried shoving it on my dryer like you did đ Customer service was extremely helpful and super nice! If you have any questions about this diffuser, their products, anything really call them at 212-274-8686. They are in New York-Eastern Time zone. Their website is really helpful and has lots of videos. Oh yea, they told me the diffuser fits dryers that have a 2-2.5â barrel, 5.5â-6.5â circumference and 2.5-6.6â in lengthâŠif thatâs of any help. Hope you this helps you and others.
