Btw AKB48 Has more than 120 members. This is only the 32... Also have another sister group called SKE48, NMB48,HKT48,NGT48, STU48 in japan and JKT48 in Jakarta Indonesia, BNK48 in Bangkok Thailand, and TPE48 in Taiwan, also another group MNL48 in Manila Philippines. So the all members could be more than 600 members. Not only sister, they have a rival group called Nogizaka46 and Keyakizaka46.

+K-pop Zone Unfortunately, SNH48 cut ties with AKB48 because they wanted to make their own sister groups and songs without permission and their management even had the audacity to say that it was their "original idea" which they based in the internet (or something like that, I'm a bit hazy with the exact details). So they don't recognize each other as sister groups anymore. But AKB48 is still adamant on having a group in China, right now they're planning on an AKB-China thing, which is kind of like teams in China directly under AKB48.

In Indonesia we have JKT48 (sister group of AKB48) and guess what my classmate when i was in junior high school is one of the member of JKT48, she is very talented and she moved to Jakarta from Bali cuz she wanted to be a member of jkt48 hehe

It doesn't seem like it, but AKB48 is a rather old group. I used to watch their show AKBingo years ago. And quite a few people were/are against whoever created the groups because it's basically a factory of idols in just one group. Imagine if they made one kpop group of 10-20 kpop groups put together. The SAME company would make all the money, while creating the same songs for everyone to sing. It's actually a smart way of fans to like the same group, support the same group, and know that so many idols exist within ONE group. If you find it hard to choose a bias in your favorite kpop group, imagine if many kpop groups were put together, like BigBang, BTS, MONSTA X, WannaOne, VIXX, BtoB, EXO, NCT, SHINee, etc. ALL in one group.
