If only there were things like torches, lanterns or even spells that let you see in the dark.
I know this is a little late, but he had to 2 hand it, so no torch, he has no wand so no spell, and he hadn't found a lantern. There was no way for him to make it brighter
@@smarticuno690 he could have use the torch outside of battle though.. and only 2 hand the weapon when needed. Or even throw the shiny rocks on the ground (although I can't fault him for not noticing that kind of items. especially since he doesn't bother with crafting)

i also missed that ladder on my 1st run, found out it's there while cooping later xd my friends also missed the beach cave despite being quite thorough with exploring, but yeah the loot he misses is crazy especially in the upgrade cave xD

Not gonna lie, watching him staggering bosses and not do the critical attack triggers me like crazy, I love Asmon for it
Sometimes it’s better to not do a critical attack after staggering a boss because you can get more hits in.

The critical hit is in desperate need of a buff in most cases. They made that so weak except for a few exceptions that i almost always find myself trying to do anything else besides going for the crit

what fux me up is how he doesn't pick up the grace sites along the way, and then he's like "oh wow this lift, now we have a shortcut to the boss!" all the while not knowing there's an unactivated site of grace 2 steps from the boss :D

Godrick's second phase cutscene has to be one of the coolest moments in Souls, fuck. Never gets old

I still can't believe how huge stormveil castle is and all the little secrets. I just love this game, every place feels so unique.
Also I'm thankful af I got lucky on Godrick and got him to maybe 1/4 HP by his 2nd phase. Looking at asmons build, I'm glad I went with a dex bleed build with some faith. I'm still not even 25 dex and I'm smacking 1000dmg. That halberd got crazy range and is OP against those birds tho. Useful to know that
I went back through stormveil 130 hours in and found the other 30% of the place, leading down 5 stories into the abyss. So sick

I don't think I've even killed Mr Dragon Arm. I _DID kill_ that dragon that doesn't move, though. It was a tough battle, but i was victorious. What a day, dood.
@@snickle1980 Dude that's me with ds3 right now lol. I'm stuck on the lothric twin prince's fight... And I go back like once a week and get smoked once, and turn the game off 😂🤣. That boss just pisses me off so much. Definitely recommend just giving it a go.
I had to look up some guides on the more secretive shit. But I found my way to most of the stuff. Didn't know about the crucible knight on the outside of the wall tho for the longest time lmao. Came back in NG+ and beat tf outta him 😭
@@snickle1980 I envy anybody who has yet to fully complete and explore elden ring. I have a friend that's a massive skyrim and fallout fan, and those types of RPG games. I tried to get him into it, and he of course knew nothing about it lol. His first venture was to the giant troll that drops down in limgrave, otw to Margit lmfao.

Best game I've played in 5+ years, easily. Maybe even the best game I've played, period. I'm eagerly waiting for the DLC.
Also, ER was my first souls game. A buddy tried getting me into Ds1 but I was just an impatient teenager trying to play cod lol. So if I can do it, anybody can :)

@@BiIlDipperIy 😆 the only reason asmon infuriated me with this playthrough is simply cause he knows what he's ignoring. I know he knows. Zach knows he knows and asmon knows we know. Asmon and Zach are 2 different gamers. So him being a souls player making so Many mistakes is so bad.
These games are basically Mike Tyson Punchout. Find the patterns, time the attacks, and chip away. Punchout was my favorite game growing up

The ballista crossfire death was the best death I’ve ever seen in a video game.
That’s why I use nepheli loux plus the lone wolves ashes to distract him and during his second phase I used the ground slam ash of war it deals more damage to him

I’ve been watching these videos during the time that I can’t play. I got elden ring recently fairly late compared to most people I know, and damn it’s hard. Never played a souls game or fromsoftware game before, but I love it. Asmon seriously makes these enemies look so easy. I’m 11 hours in and I still haven’t managed to kill Margit, the tree sentinel, or that spirit guy in the round table hold when you jump down. It looks like Asmon’s weapon gives him a lot of space that I don’t have since I picked samurai, but I have a hard time convincing myself that even matters considering all play styles seem to be viable from what I’ve heard. I need to git gud
I've bought Elden Ring like a week ago after beating all soulsborne games. This game is already one of the best I've ever played. The gameplay is so fun compared to other souls games. Bosses are just a work of art, some really reminds me of Bloodborne and I love it.
Also the game is pretty easy most of the time tbh, but there are few bosses that were so hard for me that I though I will never beat them (I don't think Margit is one of them). Some bosses require special items so fight can be a lot more easier and actually ,,Possible" to win so If it's your first soulsborne game and you are stuck on some bosses, don't be afraid to ask uncle google for some tips (If you don't want to go the Ultra Hardmode hah).
I also picked Samurai and he's probably my favourite starting class, DEX builds are just so much more fun in my opinion (Especially when you ,,dual-wield" the same type of weapon, it's so cool!)
Don't worry many of us been playing the souls games for a decade at this point. Watch and remember boss attack patterns, Don't get greedy with your hits, try to be more confident with your dodgerolls.
You’ll get it. Samurai is actually the most popular starting class coz Uchigatana is a very strong weapon, and u can dual wield it with another uchi early. Use jump atk and your Unsheathe skill more coz its very strong.

Ive tried to watch him play this a few times but i constantly get the feeling hes already played through the whole game
When he played this it was a review copy before the game was even released so no he definetly ddint play it before hand. Plus he makes way to many basic mistakes for having played it before.

@@michaelakadap924 Dark Souls 3 has more good music, because it literally doesn't have a bad track and only three mediocre ones. Elden Ring's best tracks however are even better than the best of DS3.

@@deepergodeeper7618 Where he's fighting the pots at 59:25. Go through the windows at the opposite end of area where the pots are. Just follow through the different rooms and areas. You'll get to the boss.
It's bizarre how much content is in this 40gig game.
Around the 1 hour mark where you run from the big guy to the boss. You missed a drop point to the left of the grace where the item at the edge is.

@@SPG8989 I think he is actually competent here. I played the dark soul trilogy and elden ring and I wasn't as good as he is by a long shot. Sure, I'm not talented for this types of game but still, I think asmon really is good at analyzing boss patterns and actually do something about it. I feel like he does a really good job at not being greedy while I died a lot of time because I though I could have hit the guy when I really couldn't. He is a professional gamer though, so it would be weird if he was bad at it

But that doesn't mean he's a bad content creator, I love his personality and he is truly someone nice to watch play through these games, but no, I definitely do not watch for his skill, and if someone believes he is pretty good at this game doesn't play the genre or watch any of the other great souls like players. Amazing personality though

So many ignored game tactics in favor of hack and slash tunnel vision lol and for the love of god for all the time you spend looking for stuff, you don't pick half of it up. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD USE YOUR BUFF LOL
Asmongold knows how to play but his build, as it has been throughout it all, is about high poise, staggering and high dmg weapons tanking through it all and knocking everything off its feet. Very entertaining to watch and actually fun to play early on but as far as using the games mechanics, to me, it’s a rather boring style of play. But hey, that’s the beauty of these games. You make the game what you want it to be.
I beat Margit on the 13th try, Godrick on the 8th, the red wolf, of Radagon on 20, Renalla, queen of the full moon, on the 3rd try, and the draconic tree Centinal on my first try. That is the farthest I've got.
