It's 1:06 am and I'm watching a powertool infomercial. I think I have lost control of my life...
:-)
The real question is will this tool penetrate the human skull and destroy the brain matter underneath?
@@nathandamaren2093 Well, is your head harder or softer than concrete
@@RICHUNCLEPENNYBAGS77 the flesh is not harder than concrete... but i aint sure about the skull
@@nathandamaren2093 Well, think about what'd happen to your skull, and concrete, if you went flying skull-first into concrete. I think probably your skull would be crushed with no real effect on the concrete. Also the manual to this thing is full of warnings about injury or death.
I want a 50 cal version
You'll break your wrist. -.-
As a CN railway worker, I'd watch you drive spikes with that.
20mm version coming soon? 🤣🤣
For building bridges
Sill waiting, wish they had one
Nice! Now just make them automatic, and we have Nerfguns for adults too!
so... guns?
@@BADAB0O0O0O0O0M shhhhhhh, dont call them that, we dont want them to be prohibited
i found out that you can bust open pretty much any normal lock with these.
or when you just want to punch hole in steel for... various purposes~
syrenet yeah you found out... Or lock pickinglawyer ?
@@sprungkartoffeltv5082 I don't usually comment on these things but you know, whether he discovered it himself or found out from the lock picking lawyer it still called finding out. He wasn't claiming to have invented the technique as far as I can tell.
I use to take the powder loads, empty them, put match powders inside and use them as testing for simple mini artillery or pistols
"firing."
Dorian M 😂🤣😂🤣
I keep mentally editing tool to firearm. It's pretty accurate to firearm safety as well apart from holding it against a wall.
I love works with this tool nonstops
Well I used such a thing only once to drive some threaded rods into a double T carrier. It's scary how much power is behind this little thing. It drives nails into steel like butter
Interesting, The High velocity tool is like a regular gun that shoots nails instead of bulets where as the low velocity tool is like a Captive Boltpistol at a slaughterhouse that beats the nail down with a captive bolt.
I was hoping I was going to see them using it on the gun range.
All the dangers of a regular construction site + those of a firearm. Nice !
There are plenty of safety instructions and precautions that are stated in the video and the training and instructional material supplied with these tools.
Murca
Jesus these guys are treating this like its damn alien technology
TheWarBabe27 Just complying with legislated workplace safety regulations. It helps avoid being sued by people stupid enough to misuse them and then blame the manufacturer for their own stupidity.
New Hope Media thats what I started thinking like it would be damn easy to shoot someone and blame it on them
We just have to follow ohs rules and shit
Great video. VERY informational.

lmaoo 😂
i own a ramset gun but im sure its way older than the ones in the video it was probably made in the 70's maybe older. i purchased it in an auction and got two of them along with metal tool boxes made to hold them and all the needed blanks and pins so i know it was made in th 70's because im sure that by the 80's they all were in plastic cases
if I'm not mistaken, it was said that the low velocity tool was designed in the 50's. could be a version there of mate..

the New Hope Media PR guy is a God
ninja unicorn I’ll take that as a compliment 😀
Don't use a nail gun on pressurized gas cylinders... 4:51
Alexandru Ifrim unfortunately there are people who have done it and many haven't lived to tell the tale. Hence the need for the warnings.
Alexandru Ifrim it's why there's an international award, called 'The Darwin Awards' for people who increase the overall intelligence of the collective gene pool by killing themselves in the most stupid manner. 😆
Alexandru Ifrim on the serious side. Because their have been 'accidents' caused by people misusing these tools the company has a legal responsibility to warn against misuse. That's why the video has these warnings.
+Alexandru Ifrim never underestimate the stupidity of others
Also, don't use it while walking in lava, you could burn your feet.
Felicia "Snoop" Pearson brought me here.
Glock has less "don't ever ..." than this tool.
red button Depends on the country you are in of course. In the land of the 2nd Amendment rights over responsibility are the norm. Elsewhere sanity prevails.
It was a sarcasm, but nice tool by the way :)
red button my reply was more irony with a hint of sarcasm :-)
New Hope Media Muricaaaa
that's right tools, I like that.
i have a couple of these, but mine are hammer activated, as in you hit the firing pin with a hammer. they are a lot faster than drilling a lot of holes for concrete screws. don't need a license to own, or use in the usa.
All the colorblind guys: "Fuck"
😂🤣😂🤣 yeah and they can’t be electricians, police or fire fighters either. My SIL is colorblind 🥲
I may purchase one of these soon
You get it or not yet ?
steven mckinsey did you get it?
How much did you pay?
My god, if you have to learn at this level. I sure the hell don't want you building for me.
In some jurisdictions it’s mandatory that tradesmen using these tools are licensed and this was produced as a training aid for those licensing courses.
15 minute video and all I took away from it;
....firing.
.....firing. Firing. Firing. Firing.
...firing. ...firing. ...firing. Firing. Firing. ....firing. Firing. Firing.
Firing.
Firing.
John Smith well one can’t always pitch the content of a video to the lowest common denominator. There’ll always be some who don’t have the capacity to learn.
The low velocity was made so you can't convert it to a real gun
tell me about the colour coding series acourding there power for powder actuated tool
I am the producer of these videos, not the product manufacturer. Please contact your local RAMSET supplier for any technical or sales support. www.ramset.com.au
It's an Australian video, but the narrator sounds New Zealand.
+Kauwhaka Definitely an Aussie VO artist, Mark Condon www.markcondon.com.au and he does say 'fixings' not 'fuxings'.
Could that be used as like, a projectile weapon? or not really
It certainly isn’t intended as one but the high velocity tools can, if incorrectly used, send the nail over a short distance at high speed. There have been deaths reported from accidents of this type. Ricochets hitting operators and bystanders. The low velocity tools don’t project the nails beyond a few feet at most and not with any impact. Both are designed not to function unless the front actuating device is correctly depressed by the substrate so not a ‘James Bond’ Casino Royale type of projectile and they are not intended to be so.
We are Manufacturer ZG660 Ramset trigger pin mumbai,India
Somebody should make a parody of this.
is it possible to shoot live .22 ammo with these things?
The breech accepts .22 caliber blank cartridges designed for the old high velocity powder actuated tools. The barrel is not .22 caliber though as it is designed for the nails it is meant to drive. Attempting to fire .22 ammunition would cause a malfunction likely to severely injure the operator. That’s the long answer. The short one is more of a question. Why would anyone be so stupid as to try?
czcams.com/video/MOZpy55U-jY/video.html
No but at great personal risk you can shoot them from a .22 cal. rifle
Why I am i looking at this when i should be sleeping
Did you sleep or not yet ?
I can't believe nanny state Australia allows this. Or is it only for export?
Australian designed and manufactured originally. Can be purchased in Australia at any RAMSET outlet.

It all grinds up mostly to be, treat it like a gun.
Alex Williamson it’s as lethal as one if not used properly so yes.
Those look a lot like 22. Blanks
Definitely the same calibre, .22, but specifically made and power rated for the powder actuated tools with different loads for different applications. In the old high velocity range there is even a .38 calibre tool.
QUESTION: I need to add a wall to a custom shower(turns out I should of hired someone lol) I'd really rather not have to drill holes with masonary bits because that is a pain! Would this work on tile to seat a wall bracket for a 2x4? it doesn't matter if I crack the tile because it will be sealed and covered with a wall. Thanks for the advice.
Jack, I'm the video producer not the technical support section of RAMSET so I can't offer you advice other than to say that unless you already own a powder actuated tool it would be an expensive way of avoiding using a masonry bit. If the wall is masonry behind the tile have a look at the Ramset AnkaScrew WERCS but you'll need to drill the holes with a masonry bit.
what model Ramsey is this. product number?
Bass Based please contact your local Ramset supplier or www.ramset.com.au.
I made the video and posted in my YT Channel as an example of my video production, even if this video is now about ten years old. I can’t offer advice on Ramset products.
12:06 LOL
?
?
I get it
don't act like u guys can't see race
is this expensive. do other countries have them do u need a licence to carry this and what is the name of the tool
+cholan segal Ramset is an international brand, although it started in Australia it is now owned by ITW and marketed around the world as Ramset. As for pricing you'd need to contact the local Ramset distributor/retailer in your country. Some tools require safety training but local laws would be different in each country so I can't answer that question. The best thing is to look up Rasmet online, find your local outlet and ask them as they'll be able to answer your questions. I'm just the producer/cameraman/editor of the video and put it online as an example of my work, though it is now almost 10 years old.
Sir thank u very much for your help
quacka
no available .22 caliber loads here at the philippines for my ramset mastershot. tsk. im planning to convert my mastershot into a .27caliber gun by changing the breech plug so i be able to use a .27 cal power loads whos always available in the markets here in our country. why there is no ramset branch in our country?

Never worn earmuffs with those things
buklao the video had to abide with health and safety regulations. Of course you may regret it when your hearing goes in later life.
New Hope Media I work with guys much older than me and usually they skimp out on many safety precautions too. Along with alot of other electricians. Of course I understand the given risks
buklao of course, we understand risks we take. However hearing loss is subtle, slow in its onset. Unfortunately it is also usually irreversible and can only at best be alleviated with hearing aids but never cured. Living with a family member with congenital hearing loss, and being a sound engineer by profession, it’s something I am particularly conscious of and
mindful of looking after my own hearing as it’s the basis of my career and the source of my family’s financial wellbeing.
New Hope Media wow, you're really bout to make me cry man. I'll definitely get accustomed to using them especially since I'll be working on bigger things mechanical wise (planes) the next few years. Much love to you and your family and as a sound engineer I hope you take the time to listen to Hans Zimmers score of interstellar. Im sure you'll find it very pleasing to the ears
How to buy?
Juni Aja look for a local Ramset reseller or contact www.ramset.com.au for international sales.

America + Guns + Carpenters = Ramset
PDB except that Ramset is originally an Australian company, now owned by ITW.
Where we can get it india
Please contact Ramset www.Ramset.com.au with this question as I am the videographer and have just posted this as an example of my work.
Why do the workers say firing. I don’t do that at work with these nail guns
Angelo Fanella because to comply with Australian Occupation Health and Safety Regulations pertaining to Powder Actuated Tools the operator is meant to say ‘firing’ each time the tool is fired. As these are training videos made in Australia the demonstrator is following the OH&S guidelines. In practice this may not be what happens in the workplace. However, if there were an accident caused by the tool and it was found that the operator had not said ‘firing’ they would be liable under law..
Some Gun shooters and Pro Gun owner brought me here
Equilizer
So basically firearms that shoot nails
Pretty much, as far as the high velocity tools are concerned.

No estoy seguro. He hecho los videos, pero no funcionan para Ramset
I will be pissed off everytime I use this gun I must say firing
Georgis Yousef the newest version has a voice recognition chip that prevents firing until you say it. Unfortunately it's not the best so you have to say it really clearly and sometimes you have to ask anyone around you to stop talking or using loud machinery.
Its almost a gun
Appeltaart well they are generically referred to as ‘nail guns’ in the construction industry.
Gun wannabe
In India
Jesus christ. Has ANYBODY ever tried to set a pin into a propane tank? Do ya think we're morons?
Glenn Storey yes unfortunately they have or it wouldn't need to have been added to this video as a caution. In fact while making this video there was a news report of a contractor being fatally injured when they fired a high velocity nail through a fixing and it ricocheted back through their face. Sometimes people do dumb things.
6:30 do not use tool as a hammer
P
This looks dangerous to keep in a house looks like a gun.
It’s not a DYI home handyman tool. It’s designed for tradespeople and the powder activated charges have to be stored as you would ammunition. In many jurisdictions you need to be licensed and accredited to ow. And use it.
Wtf it's a gun hahaha
"The user must not be colorblind" What a massive failure of design.
theclinger actually having a colourblind relative in the family I discovered how many jobs that condition officially precludes them from entering. Most defence and law enforcement, electricians... The list is surprising. So, as colour coding is a fairly common practise in the construction industry, it’s hardly surprising that Ramset chose that method to identify what are fairly small items, the power load, as they could hardly have a written description on a .22 calibre high velocity load or the low velocity strips. The writing would be too small to read.
The criticism isn't that they shouldn't use color coding, but of their choice in colors, if telling them apart is seen as such a critical factor. I acknowledge the usefulness of color coding, and also see that they would not throw it away for a minority, but differentiation between red and green, while common, is a fundamental design error in failure critical systems.
colorblind?
Then why not add symbols to determine stuff?
Jesus is this 1960?
Cobac well if you could actually do that on a .22 caliber blank shell or low velocity strip at a size that could be felt I’m sure they would. No use doing it on the packaging. Still feel free to write Ramset. I just made the video.
