D.J. Sanders is 6'4 and actually looks even taller. He can play the Defensive Tackle position with a lot of leverage, but he needs to play much lower, though. Considering the top 5 targets for Texas at the position, (Brandon Brown, Zion Williams, Kevin Wynn, Josiah Sharma, and Myron Charles) are all expected to be dominant players for the Longhorns, if they commit, Sanders is definitely a developmental player.
I could easily see Coach Davis turning Sanders into an All SEC Defensive Tackle prior to leaving Texas, if Coach Davis were still coaching at Texas. I don't know if Coach Baker would turn Sanders into an All SEC Defensive Tackle, if Sanders committed to Texas. Nonetheless, he has potential to be developed.

If Coach Davis were still at Texas, he'd havevto develope Sanders because history shows anything he's not landing any of the top 5 DL recruits.

@@garysmallwood1527 I suppose you don't consider 5 Star 2024 DT Dom McKinley a top 5 Defensive Line Recruit. Texas absolutely wanted and needed McKinley in last year's recruiting class, but he committed to LSU knowing that Coach Davis would be his coach.
