Hello did you glue the wing spars in the centre wing? Or leave them removable

Hi Jack, greetings from the great white North here in BC Canada. Great clip on the Corsair! I've been flying R/C for 40 years and the Corsair has always been my favorite bird. So two years ago I pulled the trigger and bought the Top R/C Corsair. I plan on putting the Saito 90 radial in it, MK Servos, new updated Robart gear, blah, blah, blah. Then I read with horror the wing spar failures! Yikes! Consequently the bird is still in the box. Your procedure for the spar upgrade looks straight forward. I would love to get a couple more details from you about the spar procedure, engine weight, C of G, brake system etc. Danny at Robart is gonna shoot me if I start asking for changes again but they look like they are worth it! Can you PM me or shoot me your email so I can pick your brain wealth of knowledge? You don't appear to be a stranger of danger! Cheers.....

Thank you for the video. I also have one of the first run corsair with the weak wing. I was planning a similar fix. Your use of the wire is a great great idea. I was thinking of making the spar from 1/8 birch ply sandwiched with two pieces of 1/8 g 10. What engine did you install?

I used 1/8 aircraft 5 ply. Bolts with blind nuts I feel adds big support for landing gear mounting blocks. It ties it all together. Mine has a EME twin 70 w/electric start with 24x10 xoar prop.
I always use Zap glue products on all my planes. They sponsor our events and supports our hobby in many ways.
      Have a great day

Send it back for refund, let the manufacturer it's job if you do it they will continue to sell defective products. I understand why you did it, but if they have no consequences for bad workman ship they will release other models with other design flaws. Where will it end?
