What an adventure swimming and snorkelling in Ewens Ponds and Piccaninnie Ponds! With their incredible structure, crystal clear water, and almost alien algae, these places are so otherworldly! While I was in Mt Gambier snorkelled these spots a few times and really got the chance to explore their nooks and crannies.
Safe to say this is just another reason why Mt Gambier is South Australia is one of the most amazing dive locations on the planet. We are so lucky to have it so close to us!

it's amazing how it looks as if the place is small but when you compare a human beside the landscape you come to realize how big the area really is. such a beautiful place, thank you for sharing this with those who are unable to go
Cool, I’m really into strange bodies of water in random places for some reason. 🤷♂️
Haha a cool channel I just subscribed to commenting on another cool but seemingly unrelated channel I just discovered. The echo chamber is real! And I love it.
Odd to see you hear haha
Samedt
Come to Florida. Best sinkholes and springs in the world.
Watch Mr. Ballen and you probably won't😂
Looks like a mountainside under water. This world is amazing
10:26 wow! Thats a cool shot!
I'm really scared of diving but this is really cool. Feels like I wanna try it.
Same here i was just thinking the same thing 💀
You can do anything you put your mind to!
I would definitely go to the pond cause there’s not really fear for me there, I’m scared of dark water and the creatures that live but it’s just crystal clear water and there doesn’t seem to be any large creatures and it’s gorgeous
just watch out for gators xD
You can do it. Take it slow, start in a pool with a mask, fins and snorkel. Just work on getting comfortable. It could take time but what do you have to loose and look at all you can gain. I was about 10 years old when I went to the beach in California. I was swimming in the surf with a mask and fins. I was afraid to put my face underwater and open my eyes. But I tried it once. I saw all the kelp, it was dark looking underwater. It scared the crap out of me. I could not look underwater unless it was in a pool. But I have wanted to scuba dive almost all my life. Because my dad did it and I would watch Cousteau on tv. I eventually took a scuba class and got over my fear. You can do it.
holy hell, i’ve lived in this state for 13 years and i had no idea someplace so magical existed here - i know where i’m going asap 🥺🥺
What a fantastic looking crack! That’s something you don’t hear very often.
I really want to scuba dive so bad, specifically cave diving. However I am too claustrophobic and have too much anxiety. I'm living vicariously through these videos!
Happy to be your window into the wacky world of these caves! :)
Have you gone scuba diving before? It can be very disorienting and scary but I’m sure if you set your mind to your dreams you can overcome any fear
I love your happy personality and laugh, both are so contagious
yeah, made me subscribe 🤣
so much positivity !! thank you Adam for your inspiration. I just begin my freediving journey . much love!
thanks buddy!!! hope you enjoy the wacky world of freediving!

Mate. Thank you for sharing this. What a life you live.
Crazy how it looks dark outside and so bright and colorfoul inside ! Love the blue/green color of algae and water it's so relaxing ..
as a 17-year old student who suffers from PTSD after a school attack, videos like this ALWAYS calms me down and clears my brain fog for a while. I hope one day i will have the possibility to dive in such waters and truly enjoy life
im a year late but that is so nice :) glad you have found something to help, and I too hope to dive in such wonderful waters!
I was put onto this by CZcams algorithm. It looks amazing! The clarity is absolutely crystal, and I love watching this. I'm a total novice, I love the water and try to swim at every opportunity. I have a short wetsuit, snorkel and fins and I live near a lake. Theres shallows and the clarity is pretty good. I also would love to travel and dive lakes too.
(By the way, I subscribed.)
I holiday down in Portland a lot and alot I come up to Ewen Ponds for a dive and I have to say you NEED to come back on the right day. When you get the right day summer day you can throw 20c coins and can watch it fall all the way to the bottom the water is so clear. On these days all the fish are out and its amazing-same with Piccaninnie.
So happy to have stumbled upon your channel!!! Keep it upp!!🤙🏽🔥
its incredible how much of this world we don't know and how much of it goes unseen

Haha I knew it, exhales all the way :-) That fluoro green fairy floss in the 2nd pond! The night dive might be pretty cool at full moon though. Of course its short finned eels, didnt you say no long fins in there?
You've made it to our great state Adam. You beut. I recoken if I were to enter one of those I'd sink like a lead balloon. Lol
Just saw the other day a Danish guys swim about 202 metres without taking a breath. Incredible.
Thanx again for about vlog.
Please stay safe on your travels.
What a perfect place!!!
thank you!
unreal! soo cool!!
Was the silver fox wearing a weight belt under his wetsuit in that night dive?
It's hard to believe these places are on this planet! The underwater landscapes look so alien and cool.
MORE LIKE THIS PLS!!!!
Like the background music!!!
Oh Wow, the CZcams algorithm pulled a perfect score with this one. Subscribed
Been diving since 1999. learnt specifically to go to Oz (I'm British) EPIC......
I love that place swam there in shorts and tee shirt , in January
Great viddy! You should go diving out in the Kimberly in WA! If you go to a remote enough place (like sections to f the Drysdale or Carson rivers you can see tons of freshies, and the black brim are so sheltered from humans they’ll come and start nibbling on you like one of those weird fish pedicures. They’re pretty dumb fish-an unbaited hook is all you need to catch them, but, lucky for them, they taste pretty rubbish.
6:48 🤍 “just looking”
Would love to learn how to swim for this reason so beautiful
WOW!! That looks amazing. Wish i was there :(
Me too! :)
Thats scary.you are so brave
natural aquarium =]]] I'm in love now
this is incredible!
Beautiful
Awesome and so beautiful
Beautiful place, as much as I fear deeths, thats some place I may venture to snorkle with your crew, moonless nights are usually pitch black, I wonder if these places were made by meteorite impacts just like Yucatan MX
Aha!! perfect video for lunch.
This is INSANE! just insane. wow.
