Coldplay and BTS did perform My Universe live at American Music Awards last year.
They performed at the AMAs in 2021.
I watched them do My Universe for PTD in LA Day 4 which is still one of most surreal moments of my life.
HELP!!😭 somebody tell them BTS are literally one of the biggest artist in the world right now.
Like seriously , they dont know how much is bts famous , they just think bts is a normal band like other kpop groups 🥲🥲
I love all of bts’s collabs, they always choose artists who have voices that go well with theirs, the collab with Coldplay was legendary because the two biggest bands got together and released an addictive song. Coldplay is even friends with bts, their friendship is beautiful especially Chris and Jin’s friendship.

That's Korean media downplay. I remember last year when the BTS concert was in Busan and ARMY traveled from all over the world to see it, the citizens were very surprised because they had no idea that BTS were so famous worldwide.
I love how Eun Bi is such a perfect representative of Army! Singing passionately, getting emotional, dancing to the choreography, excitedly explaining facts and details about the songs and MVs...loved to see it! 💜
LOL it seems like some koreans still dont know HOW HUGE BTS IS worldwide .....Theyre called 21st Century Pop Icons for reason guys.
its because their media and internet censors bts so much and only makes controversy or negative articles trend higher. they never see all the achievements or they see them and think any korean artists can do what they did they dont understand how bts are making history and how theyre more impactful than the Beatles because all they see is a mere idol group from a company that was never supposed to succeed. naver is their google and naver invested money in the big 3 labels so of course theyll hide bts articles from the public if the average korean isnt looking on social media for bts news specifically they wont know or be up to date. many korean reactors have said they didnt know how big bts were until they were either told from non koreans or they looked at media from other countries. bts are bigger than all of these artists in these collabs and these artists are happy to work with bts but many koreans think its cool bts "get to work with them" instead of these artists "get to work with bts" i wonder when the public will figure it out. probably when its too late too support them.

Bts are worldwide superstars! They are on the level of big western artists actually they are even bigger than a lot of them! Just wait for their comeback, their impact and demand is insane 🔥‼️‼️
It still surprises me to see how the rest of the world knows more about BTS than perhaps most Koreans! So, here is some information for those whom RM jokingly refers to as "muggles"😉:
1)They didn't start singing songs about hope, dreams, humanity, equality and many more important themes just recently. They have been doing it since their debut! Their very first official release as BTS was called "No More Dream"!
2) BTS did not become world stars because of collaborating with foreign/western artists. Those western artists collaborated with BTS because their world dominance could not be ignored anymore! Of course these artists must be appreciated for recognising and respecting the force that BTS has come to be.
3 "I want to listen to a hardcore Hip hop song by BTS". What do you think they have been doing all these years! 😂. If you want to listen to their hip-hop songs, starting from "Ugh", "Baapsae", "Daaeng" and the "Cyphers" wouldn't be a bad idea although you can go on to listen to the amazing solo works of the rap line. If you mean that you want a hardcore hip-hop collaboration between BTS and western hip-hop artists, that's a very valid desire. All of us want it! 😊
4) BTS and Coldplay did meet physically. Both the bands have huge respect and admiration for each other. Chris Martin particularly seems to adore Jin!
Anyways, thank you very much for the reaction. I enjoyed it. It would be fun if you made them react to old BTS songs, some B-sides and the solo songs of BTS members! I would love to see them react to a few songs from Indigo and Mono, especially "Seoul", "Moonchild", "All-day" "Wildflower", "Still life", etc.! Sorry for the long comment!

미국에 살고있는 요즘 나오는 여러나라 music들도 경청하는 사람으로서 알수있는건 한국대중들은 BTS를 너무모르고 그들의 전세계 영향력이 얼마나 크게미치고 있는지 몰라요. 그들 노래는 message가 굉장히 큰비중을 차지하는데 한국대중들은 그냥 title곡들의 melody가 catchy해서 듣는정도인데 그들의 B-side (수록곡)들은 많이 심오하고, symbolism도 엄청많고, genre도 넓어서 (r&b, neo-soul, hard core rap, jazz, ballad, latin pop, edm, pop...) 외국의 음악에 종사하는 professional들은 그냥 BTS genre라고 합니다. 그들 노래는 their own experiences, political & social issues 등을 말하고 arts, classic books & movies, philosophers, psychologists에게서 inspiration을 받아서 그것을 바탕으로 쓴노래들이 많아서 여러나라의 교수들, 경제학자들, 문학자들이 모여서 BTS symposium을 벌써 3년째 해왔고, 외국정치인들이 한국에대해 연설할때 BTS에 언급들을 많이하고 또 몇나라에서는 BTS를 그들정치에 공약으로도 이용하죠. 작사 작곡 producing도 스스로 많이해요. 그래서 그들은 단순한 idol들이 아닙니다. 그리고 요즘은 외국가수들이 BTS와 collab하는걸 더원합니다. Steve Aoki도 Ed Sheeran도 2곡이나 써서 자발적으로 BTS에게 줬고, Cold Play도 진 군대가기전에 진에게 노래주고 그들의 concert에 진이가서 perform도했죠. 이젠 BTS가 그냥 세계의 brand label이 됐읍니다.
Estoy de acuerdo contigo y es lamentable que su propia y patria y sus propios compatriotas no les dan el reconocimiento y valor que merecen, antes de que bts fuera famoso a nivel occidental los coreanos los denigraron, humillaron los acusaron de plagio etc y más por ser de empresa pequeña, pero desde que nos fue reconocido en usa y muchos países más ahora los coreanos dicen ser fan de bts, me parece muy hipócrita de sus partes, y nisiquiera saben la historia de fondo de bts para llegar a donde estan, los coreanos no merecen a bts.

It would have been great if Max's -Blueberry Eyes (feat. Suga) was included as well even though Suga did not personally appear in the MV as it is an opposite of IDOL, being an English Song with a Korean Rap section. BTS collabs never miss. All of them are great songs.🤩

Cold Play and BTS first met up when Cold Play flew to South Korea, and BTS helped Cold Play finish writing the song. They also recorded the song in SK. Then they performed it together at the 2021 AMA’s.

Its surprising how many koreans dont know just how big BTS is... but i guess with how badly the media in korea does in reporting anything about BTS it makes sense. I hope more koreans can understand just how big BTS are. They are quite literally living legends at this point.
Also... lol theyve done huge hiphop songs. J-Hope literally just collaborated with J cole, his album has credits from Wu Tang clan. RM has collaboration with Erika Badu, Wale, Lil Nas X, Tiger JK and Epik High, like.... BTS are worldwide superstars, not just kpop idols.

Actually all of the singers can sing very high, not just Jimin. I’m not sure who actually has the highest range, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that Jin can sing the highest. JungKook can sing high and even V has a beautiful and high falsetto. I love all 4 of them in high notes because they each bring something different. :)

I agree that all the singers can sign high beautifully but so far the one who has hit the highest notes is Jungkook. Maybe one of them can overtake him someday :)
@@nillilinuna446uhh no, it's jimin. jungkook has pointed out as well that jimin's notes are sometimes even too high for him. this comment section is so weird.. stating the fact that jimin sings the highest notes doesn't mean that the other members can't sing high, calm down.
JK may have said it but I don't think that's true in actuality. Or maybe Jimin can hit higher notes in studio but JK can do it on stage? idk you'd have to show me an instance where Jimin has hit a higher note than Jungkook. Although I should add here that JImin has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard in my life. I love all their voices but jm could sing an instruction manual and I would click on it.

Idc what anyone saids, the western collabs are some of the best. DreamGlow, My Universe, and Brand New Day are great. The Steve Aiko remix of Mic Drop is better than the original and got me to check out nore of their music and Boy With Luv was my first time hearing of BTS.
Delving into Kpop i am amazed at how much overlap there is with western pop. From artist giving songs to each, to choreography, to featuring, to sampling, to outright remaking songs. Its cool seeing artist from different parts of the globe work together.

what I think about the korean language. honestly, i love it. and i think it is because it is one of those languages where most words end with vowels which sound just right in songs. in other languages like english sometimes you wouldn't be able to understand some words because singers have to change the pronounciation of these words in order to sound good.
as an indian. got used to so much k-content exposure now korean songs sound like any english song.😅

After watching this reaction I have come to truly believe in the saying that , “one who has treasure doesn’t value that treasure “. They start valuing that treasure only when other people start telling them how much valuable that treasure is .I’m sorry to say this but I feel sorry for some Korean people who still doesn’t know how big BTS as a group are and I don’t like that they are in way underestimating BTS - the group that brings millions of dollars to their country- South Korea on the basis of their talents .
