0:29 That era of Williams sound effects shared between the pins and Defender/Joust/Robotron is just completely iconic now.
Got to give it to Stern, they did what they had to in order to keep their heads above water and they're STILL in the game.
Black Knight not only deserves to be a guest character for Mortal Kombat 11 but he even deserves his own video gaming series.
Good call! During the golden age of fighting games, I put my quarters on the glass waiting to play M.K, *The Black Knight* would randomly do a cool light/sound show. It stood out from the other pinball machines. I liked it more than Adams Family. I think it had a motion sensor because when someone walked by TBK he would taunt *”GIVE ME YOUR MONEY!”* It actually scared younger kids.
Steve Ritchie knows how to make Pinballs! Awesome!
The Black Knight trilogy is now complete! All of the tables are brutal! The Black Knight shows zero remorse; three of the hardest pinball tables ever made!
This game was a stand out at Pintastic 2019 - the fire in the furnace, the flail, the shaker motor, the music!
Best LCD pinball from Ritchie!!
I played this game for more than a year and finally beat it and no one watching behind me could believe it,that was 25 years ago, black night 2k I think it was.
I just played this game at Pintastic Expo here in Massachusetts and it is so awesome!
Steve is the King of Pinball! Love live Black Knight Pinball machines!
Love Steve Ritchie games!
This is my favorite pinball. It's definitely the most interactive. I love when it really amps up and starts shaking. It's so much fun. Except when he starts whirling that mace. I get so mad. 😂❤️💥
Can I purchase the Whitewood please Steve ? Looks AWESOME ! Thank you for another STUNNING EFFORT ! Well done Team Stern , you guys ROCK !
Really enjoyed this at the pinball museum in Nhill
I am sooo hoping that my local arcade gets this one in soon. I have been jamming out to so many versions of BN2K theme on my synth for the last few month and am jonezing for visceral experience of this new game. THANK YOU @STEVE RITCHIE for all that you've brought to the world.
I remember "Black Knight 2000" was a pinball machine that I saw only once in Japan when I was in elementary school. I was horrified by its loud sound at the time, lol.
As pinball machines, game arcades themselves, are disappearing from Japan, I respect the fact that there are still people who are passionate about creating pinball machines. I sincerely hope to see the actual machines with my own eyes, even if it is just once, before all game centers disappear from Japan.
Epic !!!!!! Never gets old !!!
I purchased this on Amazon and am totally addicted. I need sleep!!!
All time favorite pinball trilogy!
Stevie Ritchie and black knight.
The classic is ready!!!
When I first saw the video I wasnt to interested, but after playing a premium at SFGE I was blown away and now that's my next buy!!!!
Got to play this today, stellar game!
Seattle Pinball Museum has a Pro table, while the music didn't get me as pumped as 2000 (little too loud in the museum to hear it clearly), the gameplay is pretty good. If I can find one of the versions that has an upper playfield I bet it'd be even better. Cheers!
I really need to find an arcade that has this game...
I need this game!!!
Even though Steve Ritchie isn't a particularly good pinball player, he does masterfully understand how to create excellent game flow. That means the game pace has to be very fast so that the player is challenged nearly all the time.
A table taking this concept to the limit is Scott Danesi's Total Nuclear Annihilation. Beneath the scoop the ball bounces around at the speed of light. This makes a player go into overdrive with his neurotransmitters working under full load. Knowledge of how the ball will bounce off an object as well as blitz reaction is required. The low positioning of the flippers makes it much harder to safely stop the ball, so often the breathtaking hunt for control continues. High speed means also more exciting inlane-outlane action / time. More inlane-outlane action means more drains but the lane save feature genuinely balances the situation. When a ball passes the outlane switch, lane save instantly loads the new ball into the shooter lane to fire away. This process could be sped up further if a ball was already waiting in the shooter lane - talking about nuances here ofc. I like the scoop's fast kick-out bc wait for what? I dislike though that the scoop activates the ball-saver. It has to be possible to adjust the scoop so that it doesn't throw the ball SDTM. Given that, the player shouldn't have the option of draining deliberately.
The downside of TNA is that shots to the top (spinner and into the scoop) are pretty seldom and so 90% of game play takes place in the lower section. For the same reason multiball play feels a bit "overcrowded" as the balls collide extremely often. TNA's single multiball feature is the only strategy to go for. That's pretty poor. The unique lock sequence however counts on the plus side.
Black Knight has a wider open playfield what means a little less speed however if you don't hit the shot and the ball bounces back from posts, fast reaction is tested for sure. Different multiballs make BN more interesting. Overall playability is hard to compare as different layouts obviously play differently. BN is more what's expected and TNA more unique. I say it's a standoff. TNA's awesome soundtrack wins slightly over BN's while BN is ahead concerning art and video animations.
If I had to decide between a BN Premium and a TNA I'd choose the BN but only by a small margin. To me it seems incredible how close Danesi's team can come to the Stern giants.
This table is absolutely beautiful, I wish there was one less than a 5 hours one way drive from me. I dream of a day Stern would partner with one of the better pinball emulators like Visual Pinball to release official tables. Unfortunately Pinball Arcade just isn't great in comparison, though I'm glad to have the old Black Knights on there before the licensing issues. Hell, I'd donate $30 for a high-quality Sword of Rage VPX. I understand there may be technical difficulties or piracy concerns, but man do I love a Stern table.
Très bonne vidéo!! J'y ai joué cet après midi à Toulouse, version pro : excellent.
Saw this at the local pizza joint near me it’s so damn good the music the animations the design it’s all so damn good!!
And the white board is in a Wrestlemania Cab... :D

P.S This machine was an epileptic’s kid’s nightmare. ☠️
This game is So Awesome!
now i'm more enticed to play it. hopefully, it will show up at Free Play Florida this year.
5:48 does anybody maybe know the name of that song? That sounds really cool.
Those are some big @ss watches!
That's wild my buddy has an old one and iam thinking the 2000 one..anyway has 2..iam sure hes shopping for more
Well this game is like you are getting the tokens or coins that people lost when they played the 2 Black Knight games when you defeat him.
Is there any way to hear the music apart from the game?
This is Fucking Awesome!!!!!!!!!
0:05 Shao Kahn moment!
I love Stern pinball but really wish they wouldn't cheap out on some of the parts nowadays.
Sure looks a lot better than the first one...
Grand Lizard 2, when?
what about Road Kings 2? That was a good game that was obviously influenced by Mad Max.
@@figment1988 Fuck yeah! A-Ok game, even if people look down on it somehow. Man Stern have like decades of games to make here
@@figment1988 Funny you should say that. Some guys in the Netherlands did one a few years ago. czcams.com/video/jAwPI70vQ9k/video.html And I am current;y (for the last 2 years) been working on a version myself.. I'll be streaming the progress on my twitch page soon. Mark Ritchie at his best. www.twitch.tv/boomgo_pinball
Wow. Is he really doing the voices just like that? I assume they were edited to sound like that.
Cool video! My local arcade has a pro version of this. I know next to nothing about pinball but this is definitely the one I'm drawn to even though it seems like the most difficult. Now I'm trying to figure out how to not lose so often and quickly at the game, haha. 🤣
Steve Ritchie once pillaged my fridge.
Give me your money! Hahahaha!
They really should have gotten someone else to do the voice of the knight, I'm sorry to say. He sounds, well, old.
Samurai Pizza Cat ahead of the times with the face mask.
HA HA HA GIVE ME YOUR MONEY!
*What's with the weirdo with a mask on his face, is it Halloween or something? Seriously...what's with the black mask, does he think he's a Knight? How strange.*
Why stern trust a guy who have a « lets fuck » tattoo on his right hand.. he is so ridiculous
It says "heck" not fuck. The other half is on the other hand. Probably says "heck yeah".
perdon pero... para el 2019 son muy malas las animaciones. muy malos los modelos 3d..! no esta a la altura de un black knight!
This game was such a letdown. Deadpool and Iron Maiden are two of the best of all time, but the rest of the latest tables are so lacking. Here's hoping JPark is good...
Boring 👴🏼
Steve Ritchie never disappoints, 3rd one is the charm.
