Super Street Fighter 2X - Akuma (Arcade) Hardest

Akuma:
1. First ever to be a hidden boss
2. First ever to be a hidden characters
3. First ever to be OP
4. First ever to appear in a Marvel Vs. Capcom game
5. First ever to have a silhouette portrait
6. First villain ever to not side with the final boss
7. The only character to not have an actually role in the Street Fighter II films and anime
8. The only SFII world warrior who has no ending
Well I mean he does have an ending as shown in this video, it's not the in the traditional style like the rest of the cast.
You forgot to add "The only character banned from SF2 Turbo Tournaments"
@@H0LDENSUX Actual SSF2 Sagat is soft-banned in some tournaments, but not all of them. Akuma still does hold the title of "the only character fully banned from any SSF2T tournament" though.

Akuma- hold my beer
And truth.
Great job mate because this game on hardest is seriously difficult
This Street Fighter is really very difficult.
Thank you very much, Roc.
I remember this game when I was in high school
That was amazing! Vs akuma was an epic battle
Akuma makes things difficult. lol
Was that Shin Akuma you fought at the end? Two mid air fireballs.
More accurately "Gouki", since this is the Japanese version of the game

One of the best! But I love the Fei Long stage more!
I unlocked Akuma by accident in the 3DO version on accident by pressing all buttons back in '96. Man, was that a fucken adrenalin rush. Just when I thought this game was getting boring.
You have done something really rare to happen. In 1994 me and a friend were the first to select Akuma in the arcade version. It was epic. lol

Good times.
What's great about this is, the way Akuma walks in and kills Vega, is exactly what was part of an April Fools Day prank in Electronic Gaming Monthly, decades ago in the 90s. It was a fake code sent in by "A. P. Rilfuls" (or something like that) from the state of "HA" (there is no state with that abbreviation). You supposedly had to go through the whole game without getting hit once, and do something crazy at the end too.

Guile is tough since his moves doesn't require charging when the cpu is using him
It is true.
Did you see when he threw 3 sonic booms in less than a second?
That’s all charge characters in all Street Fighters. The CPU cheats always. 😠
More proof that vintage CPU ai systems cheated in fighting games in the past! Especially in the SF2. Human players inputs took lower priority when they did special moves input!
@@enriquecastillo8337 The strange fact that gamers seem to like Akuma's OP status but then cry cheap when other characters have certain advantages is underscored by the fact Akuma started out as an April Fool's Day joke. Everyone who was there back in the days knew that Akuma, like Dan, is not to be taken seriously. When some gamers get excited by anything Akuma, thinking he is totally vicious, the old players just sit back an laugh.

Shoutouts to my boy Guile who put up the best fight. Uppercut! 💪 USA! 🇺🇸
That fight with Guile was cringe to watch, it was like my little brother scared to fight
Playing at maximum level and losing countless chips makes this excess of caution.
Never understood why they kept the profile pic black and took the name out. It’s not like we can’t see him or don’t know his name.
The black profile is weird indeed. But not revealing the name was cool at the time. lol
he was a hidden character. they just couldn't be arsed
Same with Reptile in MK, these early secret characters were either 1) glitch ot bugs, 2) a last minute idea so their profile pics, endings, story arcs aren't fleshed out.
Back in '94 when this came out and and he was just added as a secret character, we didn't know his name yet. And only knew he existed cuz of the spliced in flashes of him during the game intro while Ryu is about to throw a fireball. Most of us back then assumed that this actually was the real 'Sheng Long' that Ryu was talking about during his victory phrase(after we all got fooled by Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine's April Fool's joke of a Sheng Long secret character......that eventually led to the actual creation of Akuma).
I think it was great leaving it blank and just the silhouette. It was awesome being in the arcade in 94 and for the first time seeing this unknown person come out and kill M.Bison. Only later on magazines did we find out the name Akuma(at least in the American version, as he didn't introduce himself like he did in the Japan version).
Its for the sake of the storyline. He is a mysterious fighter in this game timeline. Yeah..he appeared in alpha that happened before this game, but that is secretly since there was no tournament in alpha..just chronicles after the first tournament (sf1). He only went public and interfere the tournament on this game.
This was when Capcom got tired of people hogging their machines.
Hi whats the link for this rom thanks
Woooo I love this game but akuma is very hard
It is true.
The real Mike Tyson was PISSED when he found out that the boxer in Japan's version is M. Bison.
It took a long time to realize this. lol
He barely found out
Barlog (Spanish Assassin) = Vega
M. Bison (American Boxer) = Barlog
Vega (Shadowloo Leader) = M.Bison
19:24 Could someone translate the text that appears in Akuma’s “ending”?
That last match tho...🤣
Yeah. Akuma vs Shin Akuma
I love it when Gouki beats the shit out of Vega.

@@KenMasters. It's a matter of taste. But which one do you find harder to finish?
@@Jan61083
SFIII of course.
That game is a quarter eater.
My personal dismay with Super SFII/SFIIX is that it is better than the original, but:
- The sound effects sounds cheap
- The voice announcer sounds like an Engrish-speaking robot
- They use the same endings from the last version
- Capcom was originally going to add stage finishers but it was scrapped and it eventually appeared in SFV except it is watered-down.
@@KenMasters. how did you know it had stage finishers
Good playthrough, please ignore the critics who don’t understand the point of a 1P video or accuse you of having the level lower.
For info of those people saying this looks too easy, here is a fact: The version of this game designated as the parent ‘World’ version in MAME is actually a broken release. It’s the same version Capcom put into the recent anniversary compilation and it’s widely acknowledged by the SF2 community as broken, due to overpowered and basically psychic AI that reads your inputs. You can look up the SF 30th review by Maximilian Dood on here (about 8 minutes in) for a more detailed explanation of this. It’s advised to play on this Japanese romset (and perhaps some of the other alternatives) if you want to actually enjoy playing against the CPU with its correct AI behaviours.
Another good example of a broken ‘parent’ version is Haunted Castle version M, which I compared to other versions and it’s virtually impossible. Any basic enemy takes 8 hit points from you and the bats have a very tall sine wave flight path compared to the other (more playable) versions. These AI problems are usually the result of stupid decisions by Western subsidiaries of the Japanese developers.
I get annoyed with questions about the level among other things. At the very least one would have to know the difficulty of the game and respect who can finish without continuing.
Really I did not know this detail of the broken version of the game and I want to play the "official version" and try to finish at the maximum level. Thank you very much for the explanation, Tinpolgamer.
Could you send me the link from the video you quoted?
@TrueSinister I played and found the equal difficulty of the arcade.

Capcom made a mistake in not giving him a worthy ending.
They really did. It made having akuma as secret character meaningless. Plus the game difficulty was insane. So what was there to look forward to after fighting The Other akuma at the end?

Most would consider Akuma cheating but I don't feel bad usking Akuma against the CPU.
The CPU cheats in many many ways.
1. More health (esp lvl 8)
2. More damage (esp lvl 8)
3. No charging for charge characters
4. Input reading
5. Near instant recovery from dizzy
6. Holds that can do up to 95% damage (in one hold/bite/bash/etc)
7. Unblockables
8. Missing hurt boxes
....Akuma, A-OK.
I've only beaten the game on lvl 8 without losing a round & reached Shin Akuma with Ken, Ryu and Akuma. Took almost a year though.
