For those of us living outside the UK we love to see the red phone boxes & mail ‘boxes’, these are the quirky things that are special about London.
Do they still smell of pee and dettol and have "night ladies" calling cards in them ie. Call for Porsche, black model etc..
Don't forget phone booths and double decker buses!

I just caught this video. Loved it. The book about London is similar to the one my husband and I use for New York City, our home town. It is called weekend in New York City. It also shows all the little areas like MidTown, SoHo and Greenwich Village. It goes over the different vibe of each area and the restaurants, bars and shops that are to be found there. We play tourist in our own backyard and have a great time doing so. Its amazing how much you miss when you live in your own city. Loving your vlogs! Thanks again, Vickie

Hi Hannah,
I really like this type of chatty video. I think for me who does love London, that love is more sustainable over time on a daily basis in a beautiful quiet residential area, where you can feel part of the community, such as St John's Wood, than it is in the noisier commercial areas, where building and construction work is forever changing the landscape, plus there is more of a feeling that you 'own it' rather than it belongs to no one and everyone.
I have that coffee table book you mentioned. One thing that strikes me looking at a lot of these mews, is how picture perfect they all are, a sort of communal effort by everyone living there to ensure that each property looks perfectly maintained.
I drink at least seven cups of tea a day.
Programmes on TV I enjoy are the true life drama's, such as The Pembrokeshire Murders being shown this week.
I think thirty minutes is about the right length for a video.

Hello Hannah, We just started following you recently from Brooklyn NY. We come to Little Venice for a couple of weeks every summer (except, sadly, in 2020 for obvious reasons). Your neighborhood through the area, particularly the Mews houses, brought back so many wonderful memories of this very special part of London. We were lucky to stay in a place on Warrington Crescent which had access to the incredible private Crescent Gardens-it’s sometimes open during Open Gardens. Thanks so much for your views of Pindock Mews which is our favorite street in London. It’s so wonderful to be able to visit the city through your eyes.

Love Love Love Maida Vale - I want to live there! Did you know that Joseph Bazalgette engineered the original sewer system in London to rid the city of the great stink? He also had 11 children. Love your walking tours around the area! xx

Love the book!! So many pretty places and buildings in London! When I stayed in Notting Hill....we were told Stella (McCartney) lived across the street. The Mews houses are gorgeous! Really enjoyed this vlog, thank you so much for taking us along with you.

Hi Hannah, I love walking and it is such a treat to join you for these lovely walks around your area. I live ion a small island where I can walk in forests or along roads but sometimes I just crave city streets so going along with you is great. I like seeing in the shop windows. I would not be able to resist those lovely cakes! Fortunately (actually unfortunately) we have nothing like that here.

Thanks for the enjoyable walking tours! Haven’t been to the UK (live in Colorado), but it’s on my “bucket list”. Just a tip to clean your electric kettle - use equal mounts of white vinegar & water and boil. It’ll be like new! Just rinse & boil with clean water a few times before using - works like a charm! I do it all the time when my kettle looks icky 😀

Man I remember when I went to London for a school trip/stay for a few days or maybe 3 back in 2013. It was really something new to me since it was the first time I ever went there. Loved the National History Museum and all the other things I did during my stay. One day I might come back to London to visit again. Great vlog Hannah Ricketts. Greetings from Cornwall in the UK. 😇👍

Hi Hannah - I'd recommend dissolving the tablet in the water in a separate container then pouring in...that way it has space to bubble before it starts boiling. Hope that helps! Loving these vlogs...perfect way to unwind after another day of working from home. Hugs from the midwest US!

I imagine you had a pass life in London during the Wars.
I personally am fascinated by the change of old estate England and how it changed SO MUCH after the WW1. 1920’s. England was no longer in a bubble from the rest of the world.

I agree with Francene Komsa. I've wanted to go to England since I was a teenager. My favorite band is British so I learned all I could about England and fell in love with it! I hope someday I'll get to go. Then Francene, Hannah and I can have tea at Harrods😊

We live in a Kensington Mews and appreciate the respect you give to the home owners. We sometimes have a parade of people sitting on our benches, eating lunches and leaving trash. It feels like they think we all live in hotels and don't own. But mostly we love our space and close knit neighbours.

Hi Hannah. I just found your channel. I am originally from Scotland, moved to Canada at the age of five and lived in Chicago during my marriage. I love seeing London (especially the simple everyday places). We're still in lockdown in Ontario, Canada and these vlogs take me away from being in the same place all the time. A hint for cleaning the kettle is to pour some vinegar in and add water. Bring the kettle to a boil and leave it overnight. Rinse with cold water and the kettle will be sparkling clean.
