In this week’s episode, we hit Dallas & Fort Worth TX. We visited the Perot Museum of Nature & Science, had a BIG Texas KYD Meet-up at Grapevine Brewery and recorded the American Semi-finals Rodeo “The World’s Richest One-day Rodeo”.
We love Texas for the large RV sites, late check-outs, nice roads and friendly people. The KYD Community in TX is strong and we’re sure to be back soon!

Something about seeing you all together in inclement weather is very satisfying.
What a great time! I was smiling all the way through. You know that hook behind the front door? Look up "drunk octopus wants to fight you." That which has been seen cannot be unseen.
Holy Cow! The little surprises you find watching your videos, you captured my daughter leading the color guard out for the rodeo!
That footage of the horse and bull riding was amazing.......
That museum looked like a great stop. I love finding new places to visit, from watching your videos.
Now come on guys! I always heard the best part of Texas is the people!! You can catch the scenery next time!
Thanks for coming to DFW! Glad you got to hit the local hotspots. Perot Museum really is a hidden gem. Joe T's started as a one bedroom house where you had to walk through the kitchen to get to a table.
Texas, here we come. Love Fort Worth!
It’s so cool to see you all in my town, Dallas.
I concur with Cale Yarborough on his list of things to do here.
One of the best things about Dallas is Fort Worth.
I highly recommend visiting Dallas in September/October, during the Great State Fair Of Texas. It is completely awesome.
Go For It
Think of it this way, Every part of the rodeo started as a ranch task. And ranch hands decided to go "hey man I bet i can do that faster than you." bronco riding was breaking horses, barrel racing came from herding, roping calves it obvious, and the bull riding was a "hold my beer and watch this" moment.
I am sure taking the boys to the Perot museum was a perfect teaching moment with homeschooling the boys
And dad :)
What a great video! When my son was younger (he's 22 now), we went to rodeos every weekend. It was great. I can't wait for your next video from WACO!!!
I've been watching your videos all winter and we are going shopping for a travel trailer this weekend. Love to see the variety of city and wilderness destinations. Thanks for the inspiration.
No! We missed y’all! The Perot added the Being Human Hall though so you’ll have to come back for that. Actually, we really need y’all to do a tour of Texas. It’s so big that it could only be done in an RV. Start at High Plains and Palo Duro Canyon, Muleshoe, Caverns of Sonora, Devils Sinkhole, Lost Maples, Natural Bridge Caverns, Enchanted Rock, Dinosaur Valley, Marfa! Omg.. so much to see out here. The Ozarks are gorgeous in Arkansas too. Southern Tour in the works?!
Wow, how fun. We just keep adding destinations to our list. Thanks guys...
These events looked so fun! Best Rodeo I've ever seen was in Cheyenne, WY during Frontier Days and I saw Reba in concert! Some of the best memories!
Cowboys and Cowgirls have always represented God, Country, Farmers, Respect, past present and future , these are the folks that get things done , can you tell I'm a Texan lol, so glad you are sharing your experience
Love Texas....Of course we have loved (almost) everywhere we have been. Thanks for sharing. Keep having fun!!!
One of my favorite videos. I lived on a ranch as a kid and attended many rodeos around Colorado and Wyoming. I swear with your description I actually could smell the grounds again.
A+++ video! So glad Marc made an exception and went for the museum visit. It looked pretty special👍🏼 Ross Perot...now that’s a name from the 80’s that brings up flash-from-the-past memories for me. And ahhhh...another chapter with a margarita finish. Muy bien 🤗
Drove, with my kids, from northeast to TX this past fall. This video makes me want to go again! There is so much to see and do.
Network television awaits you. Seriously good family fun entertainment. Great job as always.
Fantastic video, as always! Never been to the Stockyards, but many a rodeo, (used to take my horse to local small rodeo's, and watch the events on horseback, ride in the grand entry). Thanks for doing such an awesome job on this video! Ya'all Rock!!
Watching those bull riders in slow motion, just make my neck and back hurt. haha!
Cody Wyoming 4th of July Rodeo is pretty darn nice too.
Now that I am all caught up on all the seasons I have to wait for Sunday night for my fix and then it's like what it's over already!? Can't wait for next week! Might have to become a Paetron for the extra footage lol. I love that museum!! Thanks for sharing!
MY HOME TOWN!!! I moved to the DFW metroplex when I was 14 (now 46) and just recently relocated to the San Antonio Area. This video was like being home again. I LOVE Joe T's. I fell in love with my husband over a plate of enchiladas at that restaurant and it will always have a special place in my heart. And, funny enough, I haven't found an enchilada to best their's yet. Lol. You're right about the rigs being bigger in Texas, we are a RV friendly state and our state parks are some beautiful places to stay if you can get in them. 😁 No surprise, they stay busy all year round. Sorry you had such lousy weather, but Caleb is right, if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes, it'll change. Happy trails y'all and keep up the good work. Best RV channel on CZcams, hands down. 👏👍☝😀
If you’re ever in Pittsburgh area, there’s an awesome science center Carnegie Science Center and Sportsworks for Marc and the other Carnegie Museums (Natural History, Art, and Andy Warhol) not to mention Heinz History Center, the Zoo and aquarium in addition to some great parks and food! Come to Pittsburgh!!
Looks like a great time had by all. Will definitely put Dallas on our bucket list. The museum was just amazing too. Use to go to rodeos all the time as a kid so, want to do that too.
You’ll love Magnolia. We did that last year and were pleasantly surprised. Free parking and get there early and have some great coffee and breakfast on site. They also have great permanent food trucks. Enjoy 😁
Loved the video. Claudia and I really enjoyed meeting you guys at the meet-up, along with all the other people that were there. Really hope you guys can do this again in the DFW area. Keep up the video's, they are really excellent. We always look forward to watching them as they come out. Thanks, David and Claudia...
Another great video guys!! Amazing time lapse by David Downs. Keep on living free.
Glad y'all enjoyed yourselves in the metroplex!
Awesome Marc... we really enjoyed meeting you and the family. Elizabeth was so excited that you used the footage of her figuring out where we were. Until next week.
Thanks so much for the footage. It really made the difference in being able to share the meet-up. Thanks!
Looks like everyone had a rootin' tootin' time in Texas! Great video !
That looks like an epic museum/science center.
I'm catching up on previous episodes again.
We're back in TX. Not too far from there.
Been waiting for our Sunday KYD fix. Thanks
I was disappointed that we had to miss the meet up while y'all were in our neck of the woods, but I'm glad y'all had a good time and saw some highlights of the DFW area. Can't go wrong with a great rodeo in FW and a meal at JT's.
Hi Mark, my husband and I have been following you since season one. We love your videos, we follow other RV'ers too, but I have to say you are the BEST out there. Seriously, you do such a great job with your footage. Other videos we watch I get bored, you guys are so much fun to watch. I like how Trish gives you all the details of the attraction or place you visit. So interesting. We have a motorhome, a Class C, but we are not full timers. We are planning a trip to Alaska should be getting there by June. I wish we could meet up with you guys somewhere. Keep up the great job with the videos, so informative and fun to watch.
Great video, as always, loved the museum. Loved meeting you guys, it was so much fun, hope to see you guys again one day.
Glad you had a good time and Happy trails.
Very enjoyable Video, as usual. We live 60 miles south of Dallas (45 miles south of Ft Worth and 45 miles north of Waco). Ate at Joe T Garcia’s to celebrate our middle daughter’s birthday in February. I have been to the Stockyards, but not to a rodeo there. Looks like fun. Perot Museum is fabulous. Magnolia in Waco is a fun trip. Also a tour of Baylor University McLane Stadium would be interesting. Keep enjoying Texas. It is a big state with lots to offer.
Our family and my Mom's folks use to own property on lake LBJ. Absolutely love Texas...
here in the east in October we have cornfield mazes, very complicated and going through them at night is the most fun!
If it was summer I would tell you to go to the Hill county to see the clearest river in Texas the Frio it’s like a big swimming pool that you can float. We are big campers and boaters I love to watch your videos gets me ready for camping. God Bless you guys.
I love almost everything about Dallas except the traffic! Can't do it! So when I have to drive through Dallas, I try to go through in the middle of the night, sneaking across I-30. WAY too many people on the road during the day. Thanks for sharing the meetup, your adventures and your travels! Looking forward to the day our paths cross out thereon the road.
So glad you enjoyed the museum. I'm sorry I couldn't go to the meetup, my class ended up going over. Glad you had so much fun in DFW.
Museums - I feel the same way. I have found a museum in austin that the most jaded have enjoyed, including myself. The Bullock Texas History Museum is in downtown Austin.
What a fun meetup😳😂🚍 the David Downs’ clip was gorgeous!🚍
Long time viewers, first time commenting. We gave up on broadcast TV long ago and feel that the content you can find on CZcams is leaps and bounds above it. I have to say that although the video was top notch with content and editing as usual, the best part for us was seeing the young lady from Living Coast to Coast get "star struck" over seeing KYD in person. You guys are the embodiment of what people should be and what would make the world a better place. Keep doing what you do, because your attitudes towards life are infectious.
You're too kind. Others have mentioned that on this episode and it was shocking. When I was editing, I thought, "oh well... they can't all be great :)". I can't wait until the channel catches up to the 6D Mark ii & Alaska :) Thanks for commenting.
ah back to the good old videos Loved it
I am not surprised you had so many fan at your meet up. Your videos are so much fun and packed with so much information!
Cool footage! Watching this on Monday morning in Hyderabad, India before I have to go to work. I love what you do! Keep 'em comin'.
Welcome to Fort Worth, Y'all. Love you videos. Recent subscriber. Live just down the road a bit from the Perot museum. I am learning a GREAT deal from you folks and appreciate it very much! Keep up the daydream.
Welcome!
Kind of reminds me of the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. Cool museum!
I live very close to the Stockyards. You were given great advice on where to go for food and entertainment.
I love ❤️ going to the Philadelphia science 🧪 museum when I was younger, well in my twenties I did too and probably would still love it and I’m in my 30s now lol 😂🤣😂🤦♀️
Awesome Video again! Love watching every week. :)
love this video. the museum looked like a good place to go and see. I also loved the rodeo video you took. only thing is no video of the boys on a mechanical bull. I was looking forward to that. thanks for all you do.
Seriously, can these videos get any better!! Amazing job as always you guys!! :)
WOW! The quality of your vids have reached award level!
Love it... Keep on living the dream!
:)
That was an awesome video. Love the Rodeo footage and the restaurant ... I wanna go.....Safe travels.
That’s crazy. I had a dream about that wooden maze and yes, my dream was earie also.
So glad you guys had a good time. Yes, it rained the WHOLE week. It never does that! Maybe 2-3 days, but what can I say, lol. Joe T Garcia's has a fabulous and huge outdoor garden setting, but of course it was cool and rainy, ;-)) Glad you went to the Perot Museum.
It was so great to finally meet you! Thanks for coming out and all your comments.
That looked like a really good time.
Keep up the good work 👍🏻
My husband's mom married a cattle rancher in Montana. We were so excited to go up there and ride horses. We got up there and found out he herds cows with a 4 wheeler. :)
Agree with you! All checkouts should be after normal lunch hours. It's not like they have to clean a bedroom...:)
AWESOME AWESOME Museum!!! Rodeo no not my thing I'm an animal lover & the way they treated those poor animals I'd definitely would say something. But it looks like you guys had a TERRIFIC time in Tx. That food definitely looked real good!! Hugs to family!!
The Grapevine Brewery meet-up was alot of fun. It was great to meet other RV'ers and chat with you guys.
sorry to be so off topic but does any of you know of a way to get back into an instagram account??
I was dumb lost the account password. I love any tips you can offer me.
@Tatum Blaine Instablaster =)
@Jonas Kenneth i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im trying it out now.
Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Jonas Kenneth it worked and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my account !
@Tatum Blaine no problem :D
Thanks for the awesome footage of the rodeo.......these boys and girls got b.... Love your channel!!
Loved your video, really awesome! Born and raised in Dallas, never been to the places you visited! Did ride in the Mesquite Championship Rodeo Grand Entry when I was a teenager. Moved south to Ennis ( Ellis county where Ellie May was found ) in 1992 to get away from the city. But drove through downtown Dallas 8:00 am and 5:00 pm 5 days a week for over 12 years so I’m not a great fan of the city. Semi retired now, looking forward to seeing more of the country’s natural resources, mountains, valleys, deserts, etc, etc!
Welcome to TEXAS !!
Can't t wait to meet up with you someday 😊
Great adventure as always.
looks like Mark you're enjoying this museum
We were so bummed to have missed the Texas meet up by just ONE day!! Looks like an awesome time was had by all. Uh oh Marc... you may become a museum addict after all... 😉
That would have been fun! Museum. Lol.
Another great video guys!!! Thank you!
Thank you for helping me escape my mundane existence in the place I’m stuck in now, I’m a traveler but my anchor is stuck . Please keep them coming.
It wasn't too long ago we watched CZcams for the same reason! Keep watching CZcams and check out these books www.keepyourdaydream.com/get-started/
Wowee, great video! (except I miss Ginger. Hope she's back soon!) And, I can't believe you're going to Magnolia!! I hope that video is nice and long. I live vicariously through you guys so I can't wait to see it.
Fingers crossed you get to see you-know-who!! (J & C)
♡ 😊 ♡
More excellent work! Such good stuff.
The Perot! ❤️
Dallas looks cool, we are headed there in a week, and now we have a new museum we have to visit!
Great video! Glad that I started watching again!! Cant wait to see Waco Texas!
Woh woh who... you stopped? :) Welcome back.
Great video thanks for the tips and thoughts.
So much fun! Can't wait to go to a live rodeo! My husband got his cowboy hat already, now gotta get cowboy boots! Off the Harley, on to the bull!
What a great first rodeo to go to!!! Not a pro at all, or even that good, but running barrels is a blast!!! I would live to see the boys ride a mechanical bull!!!!!! I think they would love it, but you are correct in your statement that bull riders are crazy!!!!
Star cafe has awesome food in stock yards also.
Great video and I can't wait for Waco!!
good stuff, thanks.
Looks like a fun rodeo! If you're ever in Wyoming in July, check out Cheyenne Frontier Days, the Grand Daddy of'em All. Thanks for another great episode, Marc and Tricia!
We live in the Texas Panhandle. We haven't had rain for 4 months. Please send the clouds our way. We neeeeeed it!
Couldn't agree more with you on the 1 o'clock checkout. And, yes, I used to be one of those "crazy" people. Great video gang!
I live in Fort Worth. Great town!
This was so fun! I felt like I was there with you guys!
Almost to 100k subscribers and episode 100!!! 😄
awesome video again
Loving the videos!
Great video. It is in our list of places to go! Best Rodeo is the Calgary Stampede!! You’ll have to come back to Canada KYD!!!!
GO TEXAS!!!
welcome to my home town. Joe T's Margaritas are the bomb!
