In this video I use different techniques as plastic wrap technique on putty, dripping with alcohol or water, wiping with babywipes and some more.... just have fun watching!
So often abstracts are not given their due- it's the "my 5 year old could do that" routine. Your work completely wipes that off the board and shows how art evolves and takes a lot of time, trial and error to get a beautiful, layered result. you make those acrylics SING! Thank you for sharing!!!
This may sound strange but watching the work evolve made me emotional. At minutes 10-13 I was saying I hope she stops there it is beautiful, but you didn't and it got more beautiful. I kept seeing forms and figures and dynamic shapes then you took them away. Then you brought them back and finished with a work that made me cry. I cannot tell you how inspiring and blessed I feel to be able to watch you create. Thank you so much. I am not sure what it is about this painting that got me reacting so...magic , pure magic.

Artists so often jealously hide their techniques, especially in the male-dominated world of galleries, there’s an individualistic competitiveness that shuns outsiders. In the female-dominated world of crafting you see a community centered openness and sharing.
You straddle these two worlds by creating gallery type art but just giving your secrets away. We are so enriched by it. I myself have experienced how this attitude pays you back tenfold. I hope you experience that as well.

I’ve gravitated toward these colors since I was little and they’ve remained my fav for 52 years. I’m new to painting and could ask a thousand questions but what struck me the most, besides me screaming stop it’s beautiful a dozen times and it became even more beautiful with each change, was the fact if you weren’t happy with something All was not lost and the piece was not ruined, that is my biggest take away as I get frustrated when my piece doesn’t look like I had hoped. I started painting a year ago and have only done about 6 pieces as I’m disabled, but I watch tutorials daily and love learning about all sorts of mediums on the days I’m stuck in bed. I’m subscribing to you and thank you for teaching and inspiring me. Not only that but making art has been a Godsend, it takes my mind off the physical 24/7 pain that’s hard to manage with medicine and not be a zombie. Please, everyone, keep making art videos for us that can’t subscribe to patreon. I binge watch them, they’re honestly my new Netflix. 💕💕

I love the way you work light and shade. In this painting I saw an undersea landscape particularly at the stage before you added the white and blues at the top.

I could almost see the point where the painting was starting to speak to you.. what it was needing for you to do to it.
I’m no expert and there are no rules, however, lol .. I see so many videos where artists are at a puzzling point, rushing, and the painting is speaking -loudly! If we would be still for a few seconds here & there, and walk around for the opposite perspective & stop blowing or tilting or whatever. Just saying.. I believe you took the time, periodically, to ask ‘what is it saying to me’ .. and it told you something so divine.

Allerdings hat es mir in Minute 24 am besten gefallen, als die runde "Erde" noch teil des Grundes war. Das hat mich daran erinnert, wie heilig uns der Planet sein sollte, und das hat mir gefallen, auch mit diesem Art weissen Heiligenschein um die Erde rum. Später sah das dann mehr wie ein anderer Planet aus, der da im Raum schwebt.
