Stony Lonesome 6/2019 Part 1

- It was our first trip to Stony Lonesome and definitely not our last. It was just me, Jeremy and Brian this trip for day 1. We really had no clue what to expect but after this trip I can't wait to go back. It had some of the most extreme climbs and rock sections of any place we had ever been. As you will see in this video, things got off to a slow start. They for sure picked up throughout the day though! Stay tuned for that.

Stony is a great place to ride. I wish I loved closer to some of these parks.

Oh damn, that is a solid price for a place to stay! Can't even buy a tent for that. Were you all out there during the week or something? Surprised it's that empty. OMG, the Taps Ryan!!! Hahahaha! Poor Jeremy, didn't he have some bad luck last trip as well? Never seen video of the entrance to that place. Looks like a beautiful area. If the beginning rocks are an indication of things to come, I'm excited for this series.
I’ve had bad luck every trip! 😂 those rock climbs where crazy to be the main connector trail. Of course like always with the videos you can’t tell how steep the grade was climbing over those rocks
This video was taken on a Friday morning. The crowd was still pretty slim on Saturday as well. Surprising because it is a great park and had awesome weather that weekend.
@@hoss150 That's pretty wild. Hopefully you'll have better luck next trip. Do you still have the bronze colored Rzr? I can't remember which series it was back a while ago, Black Mountain maybe, but was impressed with how well it managed to follow the new machines, even in the rock garden.
@@briansmith8505 Yeah, I'm surprised. I've only recently learned of this park, so maybe the notoriety isn't there yet. At the rate you all are gaining viewers, that may change though, haha.
Yes sir, your referring to what’s called the 1200! I do still have it but I don’t bring it out much. My son drives it some when he comes with me. It’s certainly a tuff little guy! I have beat that poor rzr to death on rocks and ruts and it just keeps on going.
A press in you trailer? Shesh! Im apparently lacking.
Oh yeah. I keep one in my trailer. I was just SHOCKED Jeremy did. lol

What is this bearing tool that you use without a press Ryan?
It was one that KMC offroad used to make but they went out of business and no longer make them.
Me and my dad saw your truck up there you got a really nice truck but we stayed in the cabin right beside you we had the orange 4 seater rzr with a red four wheeler and a red dike bike
Thanks man. It was PACKED that Saturday. The time before when we went there were only about 2 other folks there. The nightride brought a lot of people out I guess?

If you like extreme and technical trails then you’ll love this place
It is worth the trip. It's about 2.5 hours from me as well and I am glad we found it. We will for sure be back.
that place can be wicked after some heavy rains, trails washed out.i just live about an hour from there if that much

Yeah I bet. It was dry as a bone when we were there but I can see things getting interesting if it was wet. It is a awesome park.

Ryan, What tires and rims do you run if you dont mind me asking? Is the offset 5/2? I’m looking for mine and am having some difficulties.
I run 32" Pro Armor Crawler XG's. They are awesome tires. I run STI HD 9 6+1 beadlocks. I did not want to go any wider and the STI's are one of the few wheels in a 15" that offer a 6+1 beadlock.

Just picked up a 2019 rzr 900s what’s the best procedure to break it in. All I’ve done so far is rode it in high around the neighborhood up to about 1/2 throttle and done some heat cycles on it
Everyone will tell you something different but my last couple of RZR's I just drove them like I normally do and never had any issues with a blown belt. As long as you heat cycle it you will be good to go.
Southern Land Riders I’ve heat cycled it about 5 times should that be good
I did 25 hour break in with mine of running between 3-4 thousand rpm. However like Ryan said to each their own.
Jeremy Wallace there’s just so many people that say something different online, i just want to get the most life out of it possible
In the 4 years of riding and following this sport I’d say that’s one of the most controversial topics. But yeah at the end of the day it’s your machine and I would rather be cautious and break it in easy than listen to people online who doesn’t have to pay for your repairs
