DJ Set Breakdown From El Tejano

S/O to @viberevival for having me at one of the funnest venues in the city. Great opening set by @denvertootall as well. I couldn’t add all my thoughts of this set breakdown in a reel so I added them below.
Last time I spun @eltejanodenver I made mental notes of a few things. The Rockies had a home game and the ppl watching the game hung around until the early portion of my set. House bootlegs were working well. Then around 1245ish a 2nd wave came in and the house bootlegs weren’t hitting the same. But Latin was hitting very well. So I road that wave mixed w/ some current and 2000’s hip hop until the end of the night.
My notes from July’s set got flipped on its head in October. No home game for the Rockies. The ppl out genuinely like coming to this venue to party and not to watch a game. I mention people partying in circles and groups. That’s important to me bc they’re not just there to dance. They wanna talk, be silly, twerk, drink and be visible to one another while interacting. So the game plan wasn’t just to make them dance. It was about providing a great overall experience and keeping the programming familiar so they’re encouraged to stay the whole night.
