- It is known that Crown is the "VIP" car of the 90s selected as a means of transport for senior leaders in Asia. Usually, the owners of Crown cars are famous and powerful giants.
Up to now, the number of antique Crown cars and people playing this car is not much. The Japanese automaker is still producing the new Crown version, but only distributes it in the domestic market.
For the above reasons, old Toyota Crowns are always sought and restored for the purposes of collecting or as props for movies set in the 70s of the last century.
This video captures the entire rebuilding process of a 1973 Toyota Crown.

I remember these things when they were new - I really didn't like 'em, but now I think they're brilliant.
I seem to recall seeing many very smoky ones, however I'm hearing that the engines were good.

@@minnietoby nice. I just pcked up a late 70's crown I think it's the s80 according to the chassis code. Needs engine rebuilt but tried the dealership for a new engine and they said the can't re-manufacture something that old so my best option is to engine swap for a newer one. what efi engine would you suggest?
