This was unfortunately & literally the exact story to what my life was with my ex almost 4 months ago. It was a long distance relationship and we were trying to come up with a resolution to be together, he claimed he loved me, actually flew on a plane several times to come and be with me, meet my family and be in daughter's life, said to my mothers FACE that he wanted to marry me and now he's been mia and gone. I tell you what, if I didnt realize that I was a child of The Most High and if he didnt center me, I would have been a mess, but he put me at peace and I cant even be mad anymore. Being that he was too emotionally unstable anyway, I was tired of the toxicity and bad aura he was conjuring up. Didn't need those problems, no elevation, no relation. 🙅

@🌌Anointed Shebrew🌌I can relate to this mami. Not all similar but I can feel this pain. Mine started long distance then we got together but over my health issue which led to a disability eventually. He was there for me n then he changed everything my family knew n his. We never had a chance before everything came crashing down n now once engaged I had to break it off. He started lying n cheating then apologies then again and again, so much that he can't even fix it or so he thinks because he gave up so easily n I guess said fuck it I'll just go all out. As soon as you say this is the one n I can let go with this one, that's when they just can't seem to do right by you. I hope you continue to remain at peace with yourself because that's where everything begins. N without our Lord n savior a mess yes indeed. We are nothing without him. God bless you sis. God has another door ready n the right one will come through it n know what to do and what not to do. It is already written.

I listen to this at least 20 times, girl Mahalia your talent is just beyond me
This song speaks to me, as the exact thing happened to me. Fell in love, had a long distance relationship (1 state away), the dude said he'd follow me anywhere and wanted to marry me. Met each other families, friends, co-workers....it was so easy loving him and everyone actually liked and was excited about the relationship. Sadly, the moment I got into my dream school farther away from him, he started to sing a different tune. I asked him to wait after I finished my 1st yr in school (and he'd finish seminary school) for marriage and asked him to wait until I graduated my 4th yr in school to start having kids. He took my 'hold on' as a 'no', despite what I thought were good intentions.
He left, and I waited the beginning of my first yr, hoping, wishing he'd just surprise me at my school. In November of my 1st yr, had a huge pain in my heart and had a feeling I had to let him go. Next day, friend called to tell me he got engaged to another girl. Married her the summer after my 1st yr of school, had their first child right after my 4th yr. It was hard for me to accept it, but I came to realize that maybe he truly didn't want/love me the way he made it seem. Maybe I was just too foolish and got swept in his words, and the idea of marriage with him. I truly thought that if you really loved someone, despite the distance, you could make it work because you love them. Maybe in the end, i was the only one in love?
