The New Soup speedruns I like to think are euphemisms for shooter games on the market. Every single stage is fighting for your attention despite very little variation, just like shooters. The easily farmable livrs are like farming KD, and every annoying Piranha Plant jump is like overcoming each annoyingly grindy battle pass task. The occasional actually unique speedrun stage is just like the occasional unique shooter like Left 4 Dead.

The original climbing up game “Getting over it” ridiculously hard and lose massive progress from small mistakes. Made by Bennett Foddy. He is a butt face.
It's *Bennett Foddys* and it's referencing a rage game called "Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy". In that game, your goal is to climb a mountain, but there aren't any checkpoints and you can fall all the way down and lose your progress at any point. It's basically just referring to vertical a level where you can fall down and lose a lot of progress.

I understand the whole wanna get 69 coins just for the LOLs but he literally just had 99 lives just the other day and he went all the way down to whatever he had. But that’s what happens when instead of actually trying to get enough coins for lives you find the need to keep getting 69 instead of actually getting a life from the coins. Like it’s cool you wanna be funny but I would think staying alive and having enough lives should and would come before a meme (which is kinda a childish outdated meme in the first place). And then instead of trying to speed run every level why not look around for lives or power ups? I’ve literally played levels that he’s played before and he said that there weren’t any power ups to help him but I’ve found power ups in the blocks that he didn’t hit. One level that specifically comes to mind was a level that he had on here about a month or two ago and he had to fight like 5 Boom Booms maybe it was 5 BJrs! But anyway, there were like 4 or 5 blocks next to each other and they had power ups in them but he only checked like the first or second block because there was a fire flower inside the block so every time he’d die he’d just keep hitting the same block. So I played the level and in one of the separate blocks was a star lol. It would’ve been a lot easier if he you know checked the blocks that were off to the side lol. But idk he for some reason doesn’t use common sense sometimes while playing. But I mean it is his play through so he can do what he likes I guess🤷🏾♂️. But when I see stuff like that it dang near just makes me want to start streaming or playing on CZcams. But I don’t have time for all of that though.
He loses a lot of lives because he doesn't play the game slow and safe not because he occasionally avoids coins. His life count wouldn't really be that different if he had collected every single coin instead of sticking to 69 every once in a while. He might have 5 or so more lives right now if he stopped doing the 69 meme but that amount of lives is not really all that relevant in the grand scheme of things and isn't worth bailing on a meme that his audience seems to enjoy. If you want to give him crap for something, give him crap for losing tons of lives to dumb stuff like walking into enemies or failing multiple times on an easy trick he has done a million times.
