They didn't put much thought into the continuity of the film.
While parkour can be cool, I hate the random flip for the sake of flipping when there's nothing to flip over. WHY.

I can summersault and backflip but I don't do it for the sake of doing it.

But my main beef is that it's just. . filler. And while plenty of us here can't do it, in their world. . it's kinda basic. It's nothing compared to flipping off walls and over tables and from ledge to ledge.

I recently got sides, backs, and fronts on hard ground. Milestone, but hey, I do it for fun.
Doing flips because you're doing flips is good. Doing random flips for no reason in parkour just slows you down. I looked up the definition of parkour a while ago: the act of getting from one place to another through the fastest and most efficient means possible. Random flips doesn't make you faster.
However, doing flips over stuff is all good. It's just when they're running on flat ground and doing flips that it's bad

I think the quickest way to get to point b would be by purposefully jumping over this thing while doing a double front flip.
Fun fact. Doing a forward front flip is way more effective than setting one foot in front of the other.

Well, the philosophy of parcour is getting from point A to point B, but these guys are doing freerunnung. But yes, when I go to school I can't walk without..gainer, cork and double backflip... :D

Seriously though, parlour IS free-running. They're both the same thing. Its getting from point A to B as quickly as possible. What the zombies did in this video was more just for style. Although it didn't really look that good when they flips in places it wasn't needed...

Can I just say this: You are an amazing director, I love all of your videos. Just as certain directors inspired you, as you say in the behind the scenes video, you inspire me. For me right now it may seem like I'll never get anywhere, but looking at you makes me second guess that. Keep being awesome, and hopefully I can someday be like you.

it was mostly parkour. some of the guys did parkour, and some did freerunning ;)
Aleks Parker freerunning is more tricks and flips while parkour is about getting from point A to B the most efficient way while adapting to your surroundings.

aypierre exactly. Freerunning is more of a show-off and looks a lot more fancy than a kong or another parkour vault... Parkour looks very impressive (to me at least) when it's smooth. And by that I mean really, really smooth...
***** Parkour is the art of movement from point a to b in the most efficient way possible. Flipping isnt efficient. Freerunning is the art of parkour being used in a flashy way incorporating flips. :P I've trained Parkour and Freerunning for 5+ yrs.

For the amount of production value put into this, the camera work and editing is surprisingly NOT GOOD.
Purifier Prestige in fact he is right. I would edit this better than devin did. the way he graded this film the set looks really artificial. The lens work is not good too. Not to talk about lighting when the "mayor" gets from the hall. A diffuser or bed linen would diffuse the sunlight nicely. And for the budget and such a good location the video is poor. They have probably thought that "glorious" 4K will make it look cinematic. No hate ☺

It looks super over exposed in parts and with all the drama and tension, the colorgrade seemed sooo “out camera” and not dramatic. The whole time I was watching it I was thinking is this the BTS? I’m a huge fan of Devin but I’m not sure about this one.
Yeah this was absolute garbage. No reason for the camera movements to be so bad. That goes for the exposure and grading too. Seems like a wasted budget.

I think it is awesome how you guys were allowed to work on the universal studios backlot.
Dude, overall is a fair production value but it makes me kinda sad that this is the first video I see from you that paid low attention to image quality. Highlights are blown through the roof the entire video, vFx are like "stock vFx 2000 bundle".
You and your team make great action cam films for fun and advertising and you sort of set the standard for that niche. Don't ruin it because your are having "too much fun" doing what you love!
