Dive Mask Lighter Trick - How To Prevent Your New Dive Mask From Fogging Up

- Every time you get a new mask it fogs up, why? Fogging of your mask comes from when your body heat in your masks mixes with the outside cold water on your lens. When they are manufactured they have a thin layer of silicone on the lens which by doing these simple tricks should help reduce your fogging problem. However I do recommend you still use a defogger before every time you enter the water even when you change spots.

Yessssah! 🤙🏽one more added tip to this trick, I use a defogger the night before I dive and leave the defogger on until I jump in the water the next day and my mask doesn't fog up for couple hours while diving. Tight lines, and dive safe.....Aloha🤙🏽

Thanks. please confirm if there is no issue with doing that to coated lenses. Mine are yellowcoated on the outside and clear/silver coated on the inside

When you use the baby shampoo you just rub um around with your finger and rinse? Gotta be rinsed with freshwater or can just use salt water?
So I add the baby shampoo inside and outside of the mask on the Lens and rinse it salt water. I rinse it heavily so the shampoo is gone but I don’t scrub it out completely or it could fog
Eh Braddah tony, I get one mask and when I dive down and I equalize. Parts of the lens fogs up not all of it but only spots on the lens fog up. Do you know why It does that?
Could he never apply the defog thoroughly in those areas. Happens to me too sometimes. I reapply defog good and usually clears it back up
@@VentureWetsuits does the mask have a gap between the rubber and the middle of the frame by the nose piece? So where I can get a zip tie between the frame and the rubber to put a GoPro mount.
You risk creating separation of frame and silicone which would cause leaking. Better off getting this amzn.to/38YcBy3

Gloves are tricky for me. I can easily make gloves to match the suits but I rather make the right kind of gloves. Make their use better for function and what we do rather than just for looks.
