- I decided to add a 3rd output to my battery box so I do that here. I also weigh it and compoare to the older one and its mor ethan half the weight so i'm very pleased with that indeed!
Battery box MK2 is pretty much done now. I just need to find a way to seal that lid and mount it securely in the boat and its we're there!
Enjoy!

Great job,... That's a lotta power, in a box ! 👍
Many thanks Marc, thats the idea, at least if it will run lights, the tiller autohelm and the odd phone charge it should be good.
Good work Dave, very neat a solution to your onboard power supplies.
Lets hope it works this time!!
wow thats some weight saving , do the 5/4/1 and long distance now and you will fly around it , may even miss the mark :0)
Yes even I was surprised. Lets see if it works though shall we!!! Otherwise its battery box MK3!!
Looks good Dave, hope your finger is OK and that you feel better now
Yes all better now, but it did take a while to heal up that one did. I'm always doing stuff like that to myself!!!
@SailingWithDave yes, I know that feeling, over the years I have completely cut the top of my finger off, drilled into my hand, sliced into it too with a grinder.
Unfortunately, it's easily done, one lack of concentration moment....
@@fat_tommo_goes_boating Yes for sure. The worst thing I did I think was stand on a nail. Went straight through my paltry trainer and out about 2" from the top of my foot. I was so shocked I just pulled it (and the wood it was connected to) straight out again!! Blood everywhere!!! Had to have a tetanus jab and it took ages to heal up. Needless to say I now am paranoid about standing naily wood up and keeping it well out of the way!!
@@SailingWithDave ooh, sonds nasty.
I had to have a tetanus a few weeks ago after a customer's dog came up behind me and bit me in the leg!
