- Hey guys! It's been a stressful week with Sydney suffering from hives, mosquito bites (skeeter syndrome) and eczema. Trying to get to the bottom of the cause. A mom's worry is never over haha But overall, she has been an absolute champ and unbothered. I'm sharing a day in the life of a single mom vlog combined of a couple days. I honestly prefer the sit down videos! I love your product recommendations, amazon hauls, q&as, chats about certain topics, etc. The vlogs are cute but the other content is the best! I love all your videos when you show like toys and etc for Sydney it is always really good toys or books. I bought the space book a slide and that jigsaw about layers of the body skeleton muscle etc all really great ones! Thanks for all your ideas etc it has really helped and makes me feel like a better mum too! 😃👍😊
Here’s a recipe I got to help minimize the mosquitoes around your house!
• 3 cans stale beer
• container of Epson salt
• mouthwash (any will do)
Instructions:
Combine the beer and Epson salt in a container. Let sit for 2 days until Salt completely dissolves. Add mouthwash. Spray around the front and back of your house.
This is a tried and true option! It doesn’t completely rid of mosquitos it it definitely helps minimize the amount near your home. Worth a shot. Hope Sydney heals fast! Xoxo

So good that you are supporting local small businesses who need our help now. Your initial pronunciation of peony was correct and that magenta color is gorgeous. If you plant it in a flower bed, mint will take over everything. It's good you have it contained in its own pot. Tell Sydney she sees birds pecking in the dirt because they are looking for worms. Funny, but I am also pretty consistent on working to keep my home attractive and comfortable because I work from home. It is not as a showplace for other people and is not at all fussy. But it's cozy and pleasing to the eye because I have to see it all day long. Yes, I'm not on Instagram. It was probably contact induced, so it was wise to change sunscreen or bug repellent. Everyone's body and skin are different in how they react to things. Her comfort required your attention. It is not good to have skin problems and is not as much a threat to one's health as it is damned miserable living inside that skin, especially in hotter weather. Thanks for the heads-up on the Clorox wipes at Walmart because some of us live in areas with serious supply shortages still. Don't fret yet. Her doctor could have had an emergency to deal with or taken ill him/herself.

Hives the worst! I can totally relate to you! It’s so stressful to find out what’s causing them! I went through this with my little one...pedi thought she was getting a little cold and it was a viral thing it last for a week and luckily have t been back since. Hopefully you find out soon what it is 💕

I’ve loved seeing you and Sydney sitting at the big table together for meals, lately. 💕 Our ped also has us switch from Benadryl to Zyrtec for hives reactions and my little guy takes Chewable Singulair to help with seasonal allergies.
How is that helping him?! I am praying it helps & also doesn’t make her drowsy 😬🙏
Tres Chic Mama he does the Singulair daily and the Zyrtec only if he has a reaction. It works well for him! Take it in the evening if you’re worried about drowsiness. He also has food allergies so I totally understand what it’s like being a mom worrying about why your child is breaking out in hives.

I’ve found Clorox wipes at my local Kroger! They are actually back to stocked up finally. I do live in a smaller town but our Walmart is still cleared out every week

Try to look up Polymorphous light eruption (PMLE) I cant tell in the video but if S gets eczema like bumps on her sun exposed skin especially in the summer, she could have a sun allergy. My husband has this and was not diagnosed for a very long time. Sun exposed skin would get bumpy and really itchy even with sunscreen.

Hi Hayley! My son (2) gets eczema flair ups as well, so just thought I’d share our recent ‘breakthrough’ in case it might help. Initially I had allergy tests done a few months back; he doesn’t have allergies but they said that doesn’t mean he might have an intolerance. I then worked with a dietician to do a good elimination diet - turns out that gluten/wheat cause his flair ups. The way they described ‘intolerance’ is that you might be able to have a bit, but your body has its own threshold, so if you tip over that threshold you might see symptoms. Hope this helps a bit! X
Products I’ve used to help my eczema
Aveeno calming comfort bath and moisturizer for my kiddos
Aveeno stress relief for me
Aquafor for facial rashes
Vaseline also works
For me cortisone makes my rashes much itchier but that’s what most doctors recommend.
If she has scales using an oil (any kind I like coconut) on the scales and then washing it off with soap and water after ten minutes can loosen the scales and keep the skin moist. Gentle and consistent skin routines help a lot.

I have eczema as well and I break out from sweating. Like I’m allergic to my own sweat. Also my baby is suffering from pretty bad eczema since the weather has been warmer. Sometimes sweat spreads the eczema rash. Hope you figure out what helps her skin!! Maybe get referred to a dermatologist for her if it continues to worry you.
This!!!! That’s also what the nurses said. Heat/sweat. Just gotta keep her skin rinsed as much as possible

I get bit bad too! So do my kids. I swell up and get big bites! Don’t worry it’ll go away. It’s summer time n no matter what u do they just going to get u lol. Nothin docs can do.

My son is prescribed an allergy medicine because he gets hives in the summer from the sun! I do as well. But his bug bites get like hers as well and we just give a dose of the allergy med and it clears up. It’s basically Zyrtec but called cetirizine

Hi there, I have been seeing my sons eczema flaring up as well getting worse then the normal can you please tell me how did you make the oatmeal bath? Did you add just normal oatmeal to the bath and let it soak ?
My daughter went through the same thing. Very frustrating but I discovered that applying Aquaphor baby on affected areas every morning, after every bath, in the middle of the day, and before going to bed made it cleared up. Now I just use it twice a day to keep her skin moist and protected. 👌👌 keeping skin clean speeds up the process to clear up.
I have learned so much through this all! Clean skin & moisturizing helps a ton 🙌

My girl has horrible eczema and her doctor prescribed a prescription vanicream that I have special made at a compound pharmacy, it's TMC 0.1% Vanicream-Compound. I swear I can put this on her at night and her eczema is gone the next morning, its miracle cream.
