At the 2:40 mark you mention a lever that is moved to either N or R. Actually the N is for normal and the R is for rolled hem. At least that was what I've always understood those letters to mean. And I totally agree with you about tightening the needles screws when not in use, because I've actually had to order new ones because I've lost one before. I turned my sewing area upside down trying to find that little thing but was never able to. I also greatly dislike the handle on this machine. It adds one unnecessary step to the threading process. I've had this machine about 5 years or so now and I'm still not comfortable with the foot lever being opposite of what I'm used to. I've always known presser foot levers to lift up to lift the presser foot and to move down to lower it. I have no idea why they chose to make it this way. Other than that I've found this to be a very reliable machine. I get a very consistent stitch and it's not overly finicky.

Mine is broken and doesn't move and just runs in place and doesn't move forward. I don't know how to set it 😢

If the presser foot is down when operating and still won't move, I would check the feed dogs. Some machines can disengage. If they're working fine, and the presser foot is down and still not working, then I would have it serviced. You could also check presser foot pressure
