CTV's Marci Ien receives honorary degree from Humber College

Humber presented Marci Ien with an honorary degree on November 7, 2019. Ien is a co-host of CTV’s The Social and joined the daily show in 2017. Prior to that, Ien was a news anchor and co-host on CTV’s Canada AM for more than 13 years, and received a 2016 Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Host in a Variety, Lifestyle, Reality/Competition, or Talk Program or Series.
Ien’s work in media has been recognized with multiple awards and she is listed among the Women’s Executive Network Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada in 2018. Ien is also involved in the community and initiatives across the globe. Her professional and philanthropic work reminds graduates and the Humber community to apply new skills and knowledge in a variety of settings to make a difference where it’s needed.
