Poor Carrera GT, deserved better
The cops2racers mod picks the Undercover variant. The Patrol Carrera GT is the only variant that is using a V10 but a recycled LFA Sound

even forza horizon 5 failed to do the Mclarens sound correctly
P1 and MP4-12C sounds sound like a 720s or something, while this game being considerably old got it on point.

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta in NFS RIVALS also sounded as close to real life.
It’s crazy how this game sounds so much better than new games and also holds beautiful graphics for the time. Sad games have gone down hill. They also used to be so much more fun and competitive like rivals
NFS UNBOUND also have worst car sounds.
All it needs is for that weird map loading bug to be fixed, and it's own independent servers, and rivals is THE arcade racer if you ask me
Rivals is still quite bad. It MW2012 that was good. Ghost failed to do the sounds right from day one. NFS 2015 was even worse.
They messed up the perfection that was MW2012 sound engine system, especially gear changes and lovely rpm flutter happened from time to time. And best tunnel sound effect in history of racing games.
So nostalgic. Loved the PlayStation 3 era

ehhhhh idk about that, personally I rank mw2005, then hot pursuit 2, then rivals, then heat. Rivals is a hidden gem but it aint the best, it has bugs and problems

@@iown_dark1161 well the original game has a total of 47 cars (DLC included) and they are evenly divided between both Racer and Cop career modes. Most of the time similar cars are included for both career modes but they are some cars that are only exclusive to one mode only. I am pretty sure you could find some mods on google that allow you to use cop cars as race ones.
This game have texture bug like pop in or not loading properly on PC.
Yeah its a old game now almost 10 years but anyway every open world game has pop in and need for speed and GTA are right there at the top they have always been the worst when it comes to this thing.

I remember when this game came out I was so excited for it. Unfortunately it was such a let down. The game got way to toxic and trolling way to much. Hell my friends and I even did this money glitch the week it came out and got super bored within a month. There was not passion with this game like most wanted 2012. And the moment I sold the game one year later. EA started dropping dlc which pissed me off. But even the dlc sucked. It was just a bellow average game that had potential. Mw 2012 was awesome but this game was suppose to build off of it and it failed miserably. I haven’t played nfs games since heat which was a good fun game that should have had more support but didn’t. And well we all know what unbound turned into.
Rivals is the greatest racing game ever, I'm playing this since it's release and it's my all-time #1.

This game was ment to be alot better then what it was I heard they had to cut development short for some reason and most of good stuff got scraped last minute
Friend I know I'm late but you are very wrong with them making this the sequel to mw12 when it obviously wasn't.
It's very obvious this is their take at HP2 from 2010. Everything HP has, this game basically has it. It is literally the intended direct sequel to HP2010.
The problem is that development was cut short. Therefore, lots of content was cut. If you notice the early beta to what it became, it's very clear the free roam world would have rivals talking to you and more characters in the story but was all cut during late stages.
Not to mention, some of the car sounds had to be reused from 2010 or 2012.
Heck, the trailer showed undercover 6 being a veneno, but we never got anything about that further proving content was clearly cut from the game.
