- After what seemed like months of rain we finally had a break from the gloom of June-uary and July-tober. A few friends and myself headed to Sun Peaks Bike Park just outside of Kamloops to celebrate the break in the weather to see how many laps, beers, and hot tub sessions we could fit into one weekend. The answer? A lot, much more than we probably needed too!
One of my favourite laps from that weekend was Insanity One/Bermalade/Arm Pump. 600 meters vertical of face meltingly fast trail. Mostly tech with one of the best machine built bermed trails I've had the pleasure of riding. Don't take my word for it though, check the video and then book yourself a trip directly to this amazing bike park. I'm already trying to plan my next trip back. - Sport
What the heck. Man, some of those inside lines you took 🤯
Cheers boss! Would love to go back and dial those in better some day. Think this was the 2nd run I've ever had down it. Started to notice more and more possibilities with each lap. Such a fun trail!
This is art !!! My goodness man, I can’t wait to learn to ride like this. Subscribed 👍🏽
Wow, thank you so much for the kind words Pablo :) Appreciate the support! Put in the work and there are no limits to how far you can take this sport. You'll be there before you know it!
Wow,, what a skills ❤️🙌🔥
Love from Rajasthan India 🇮🇳
Thanks so much, Jitprince! Cheers from Canada
Love the videos, keep them coming!
Thanks, dude! Now that it's raining way less and my gimbal is fixed much more will be coming!
wow dude, the riding in this video is on some legendary level. also nice freakin' trails dude!
Cheers pal, appreciate the kind words! Sun Peaks has some amazing riding. So many great trails. Should have more up here soon.
I like this kind of content keep it up🤙
Thanks, Alex! Appreciate the kind words :)
Wow, Great Video!
Thanks so much, really appreciate the kind words!
Really need to hit up SP! Hopefully when everything becomes ok again, I’ll make a trip! Sub’d & keep shreddin!
It’ll be one of the best trips you can do post pandemic. In fact, it’ll be extra epic!
Thanks for the sub, much appreciated ✊
That was nutz
Haha, thanks man :)
You were in hyperspace man! I’d love to watch a bike check for your delirium and especially fugitive. Stay safe🤘
Haha, felt like it at times! I can definitely do a bike check of all my bikes sometime soon. Never thought of it doing it on youtube but had considered instagram or facebook. Would you prefer to see it here?
Come back 💪 soo good 👍
I hope too again very soon 🤘
I heard you use the brakes ONCE! Fast as all hell! top level riding :-)
def bike check these if you can. I don't even need a delerium, but I would love to see that space travel machine up close.
Haha, thanks man! Definitely used the brakes more than once. Would've been able to pick up the speed a lot more in the lower section but the mud made it pretty slow. That and the vegetation cut down the site lines making it unsafe to go faster unfortunately. Almost ran into someone on it the run previously!
Will definitely get a bike check up on my current collection. Hoping to have something done in August. Stay tuned :)
@@SteveStorey I def need the story on the Storey bikes. All I know is you're a Knolly team rider. looking forward to it!
@@realitynuggets6204 Looking forward to getting them shined up and ready for their glamour shots!
Sun Peaks looks so sick, fast and steep fall line tech, my fave, need to get out there cuz Whistler Bike Park doesn’t have that kinda terrain.
You for sure have to get out there. Really unique style of bike park, so much gnat and speed! Great place to escape for a few days
You are a quick boy.
Thanks dude! Trying my best 🤘
Nice video man. Great footage and not very shaky. Where did you attach your go pro?
It was chest mounted with a gimbal.
Extremely fast and exceptionally skillful riding. The quality of the video footage is brilliant too. I also ride a Delirium and would really appreciate your opinion on running a dual crown. Are you running the frame in long shock mode and if so how do you find its effects on the geometry and handling of the bike?
Thanks so much for the props, really appreciate it!
I’ve never actually run this bike without a dual crown so I can’t comment on the differences. That said, having a dual crown on it does make me feel right at home. It works extremely well with it and honestly can’t say there’s been any downsides. I appreciate the extra ride height and how much traction it provides. I’ve raced multiple DH races with this set up and done well.
I do run the long shock mode with two offset bushings and a 1.5 Angleset. I rode it regular travel for a season (no bushings/no angleset/stock shock) and I won’t get back. It’s my 3rd season on this set up and I absolutely love it. Traction and stability are on point, the bike charges very comfortably. The only thing I would change is a slightly longer reach. The new Delirium has addressed that though.
Sorry about the delayed reply, have been on the road camping in some wild places. Back on grid for a bit now ✊
@@SteveStorey Thank you for your reply, Steve. Very interesting that you've always used the Delirium in long travel mode, you've certainly heightened my curiosity to try it out. I love my Delirium as it is, so it will be interesting to evaluate the effects of the long travel mode on its handling. Look forward to more of your content in the future!
I had the short travel with a dual crown set up for 1/2 a season. Life got a lot better in the bike park after going LT.
That looked great!! What is your camera setup?
Thanks, Sandro!
The set up I was using for this video is a hero 4 black on EVO sa gimbal. Settings are super view 4K 24 fps
Sick! Are you braking with your middle finger? Looks like that..
Good eye, I am in fact. Punk rock braking haha. It's an old habit from two finger braking with v brakes back in the day. Never got around to correcting that haha
You dont need derauler, also brakes... Subscribed
Hahaha, that would be great if it was actually true. Biking would be so much cheaper!
Looks like that video was edited to 2X speed! Damn.... have you considered going faster??? Ha!
hahaha, almost feels like that at times on that trail. The lower section gets way faster when it isn't wet. Mud and wet dirt just wouldn't let the tires roll any faster. Will have to get back there when it's dry I guess ;)
